Huckabee fundraising shenanigans?

Ok. I don't know what to make of this, but it's pretty sad at least.
Until today, Huckabee's homepage had a "December 15th" goal of $1,150,000. Then today, perhaps as they saw it might not make it, they changed it to a "December" goal! This means it appears that they've nearly accomplished their goal in half the time, when in fact they failed to meet the original one!

But the homepage has been "rebranded" to say the least.

There is nothing wrong with changing your goal. I remember when 4Q started RP campaign was shooting for 4M per month. When they saw it won't happen, they changed it to 3-4-5. There is nothing wrong with this.
If you have some extra time on your hands, call your friends about TeaParty or help sending out letters to Iowa. Berating Fox News or Huckabee's campaign won't do us any good.

I don't think there's much wrong with revising goals either, but the Huckabee campaign could've at least set a new number (say, $2 million) rather than just removing it to make it appear like they reached their goal in half the time. Also, I don't believe it was a long-term goal, either.

Heck if chuck was my friend I would just have him scare some of his rich friends and put the money in my campaign. Really I don't know of many people who put a lot of stock in these Hollywood Stars and their support. Wonder how much Chuckie poo gave Huckleberry? or was that like the Jim Gilchrist endorsement? just a partial truth thing. It must be embarassing to be exposed. Then maybe not it was another writeup.

Yeah, it might have been a sneaky little tactic to save face, but in all honesty, after tomorrow, if Huck raises $1,150,000 by the end of December, is anyone even going to notice? And if they DO take notice, it will only be to compare it to the TEA PARTY!!! :) More positive air time for Dr. Paul!

ron paul has the page views; 33% (majority vote) in nationwide, non-party-specific polls; the fundraising totals; etc...
the only thing that huck does is look and sound like Nixon did after he was caught red handed. so changing totals like that is par for his course!

Basically, they're now claiming that they've accomplished a goal that they never had. Unknowing media can easily see this and think "Oh, he's WAY ahead and beating his goal in half the time!".
