As William Wallace would say...............Hold, Hold. Just wait 8 more hours at the ready......... Thank goodness I have to ref a basketball game tonight otherwise I may have to donate early, this suspense is killing me. Maybe I will wear my Ron Paul shirt to ref in.

Does anyone know if donations through the Ron Paul store show immediately on the ticker or does that money have to be dumped in manually by the campaign?

Well, the counter on the website has been in Eastern, and if I remember correctly that's what was used during Nov. 5th. I think as long as everyone just follows the countdown we'll be fine!

I know some people had pledged to donate both today *and* tomorrow but I think it definitely makes more sense to wait and give it all tomorrow --- what a huge effect that will have! however, i don't disagree with the campaign sending out the email today since there are bound to be people who weren't aware of the tea party (I know, seems hard to imagine) and any extra we can get today that wouldn't have been given tomorrow is a win-win for everyone.

will there be a new ticker? we will pass 12 million pretty quickly and i think we need a new ticker to show how much was raised on the 16th

They have been updating the ticker when a it went up a good deal. I would imagine they are going to take notice of this event due to the success of the last one. :)

Bill of rights day and RP's letter
You will not be able to stop donations, here they come! We will only be a few 100ks short of our goal by midnight! "Amazing! Amazing!" I see the letter was sent out around 1PM. With over $30k since then and early givings towards the end of the night we should be around 11.6 mil or more. I said on Nov 5th it would probably be around $8 mil tomorrow. I had also thought we would get the same on the 5th. So I think we should get somewhere between 8 and 12 leaving us with $20 to 24 million! WoW!

On November 5th, the money came in fast and early, from midnight forward. Toward the end it slowed down. No rush friends! As long it's in within the 24 hour period, we're good to go.
I have a really good feeling about this.

Why such a low-ball guess? Do you think it's possible that this money bomb will pull in LESS than the last one?

I think MORE people will donate because more people are aware of the event and more people have come on board since Nov 5th. However someone made a good point in that its near x-mas time and since a lot of the people supporting Ron Paul are non-political people they might choose to use it to buy gifts instead of donating it for politics.
I'd be happy with another 4mil day. :)

Holding donations til midnight
By all means, let's wait until midnight at this point. I would say that it would be good to get the kitty up to exactly 11.5 million by midnight, to start with a somewhat even number. We are less than 15k from that goal.
Just rest that trigger finger, folks, although we all appreciate the anxiety.

The anticipation is killing me too. I might go to sleep and set the alarm for midnight.

I know what you mean. On Nov. 5th, I woke up at 1:30 AM and got on the computer to see if anything was happening. Two hours later, my husband came in and found me in front of the computer mesmerized by the donations pouring in. I'm actually going to church this evening so I can watch the thermometer tomorrow.
And to think that before Ron Paul, I have never wanted a political sign in my yard. Now I have 6 beautiful blue Ron Paul yard signs.
I have called hundreds of voters. Arranged Ron Paul meetings. May have talked 1 person into running for public office to help implement Ron Paul's Constitutional agenda. I've handed out and mailed Ron Paul fliers. I had never donated before to any political campaign until recently for Ron Paul.
I spied a small white Ron Paul sign in front of a farm house on a busy highway and whipped my car in the driveway and asked if they wanted a large Ron Paul sign. Now they have a large Ron Paul sign on their property. A year ago I would never have even considered doing this.
Yes, I would say Ron Paul has already had an enormous impact on politics today. The future of American politics has been changed forever.
