Computer data banks article from 1968

A Federal ID system is right around the corner and the consolidation of law enforcement into a single centralized federal entity is slowly emerging. Today this is our fight, yesterday this was theirs. This article helped give me an appreciation for our movement and how rich the history of liberty really is. "...disturbs Representative Gallagher and Senator Long that the information accumulating in computer files may be misused. “I don’t worry about today,” says Gallagher, “but how do we know who will be in power five or ten years from now? I’m concerned about fascism.”..." Good call Gallagher. Don't ever stop worrying.
