With all the "conspiracies" and "hoaxes," I wonder if THEY are not the real hoaxes.

Nothing would surprise me anymore about anything. 911? Whatever. I still think it was the arabs. Haiti earthquake? These things do happen naturally, you know. BP spill? Yes, accident. Now, if it turned out otherwise, would I be surprised? No.

However, what I am really surprised about is that some in our camp STILL bring up these theories. Yes, I know what the initial news reports said at Oklahoma City (yawn.) BUT let's stick to the issues that are black and white, clear as day. What is constitutional or not...these other issues...they are just things that cause so many to look at us and say, "Coo-coo!"

We all know how so many look at us...why give them more fodder? Stick to the issues...forget about the craziness and conjectures.

After Jim Bunning catalogued Ben Bernanke's...

incredible incompetence and dishonesty, nearly three out of four US Senators STILL voted for Bernanke. Does it matter whether stupidity or criminal intent is responsible for our enslavement and national demise? The important thing is to stop those responsible.

Alan Moore's take

"The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy or the grey aliens or the 12 foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control. The truth is more frightening, nobody is in control. The world is rudderless."
"The Mindscape of Alan Moore" (2003)

I admit I disagree with Mr. Moore.

Maybe conspiracies are the issues...

I am not saying conspiracies are always the issues, all the time - every theory, regardless of the facts. Of course not. What I AM saying is that it's highly unfair to lump all theories about conspiracies into one category. If in fact 9/11 was an inside job, we don't know for a fact WHO or WHY. Since a large amount of unconstitutional legislation and bureaucratic departments have risen up from the ashes of the 3 towers that collapsed that day, a new investigation would be very beneficial in dealing with the issues of recent unconstitutional government that we all wish to see corrected.

Sure, if (er, when) Ron Paul announces his run for candidacy, some may find it prudent to let their other causes simmer on the back-burner, 9/11 truth included. I wouldn't encourage anyone to DENY the evidence or their beliefs, but I doubt many people run around saying things like "Ron Paul for 9/11 truth!"

Really, there is a valid place for conspiracy theories that are grounded on evidence.

Ignorance is .........

I'm glad Billy got drunk enough to write this piece. It helps illustrate why the world is soooo screwed up.

Remember political correctness? Well for a while it's been politically correct in Amerika to be in DENIAL to certain topics. To always think positive and see the glass as full. And if we all just deny the horrible all the bad stuff will just go away.

Ahhhhh, you were drunk, wern't you Billy?

So if you disagree with the set rules of engagement.

You are committing DUI,"Disagreeing Under the Influence?
Since when?I would like to know why this is wrong?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

I would like an answer to a conspiracy theory

I borrowed a friends car and went to the bar and had 4 beers. On the way home on a very rough road, after dark, with my lights on I was pulled over and went to jail for a DUI.The officer said he pulled me over because my friends licence plate light was out and it truly was.So now who's fault was it:
A My friends because he didn't fix his light?
B the cop because he could see the light out?
C the road department because the road was so rough it could have knocked the light out?
D the bar because they sold me 4 beers?

This is a multiple choice test and I know someone is conspiring against me who is it?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

nobody has faulted

but you are at the cause.

Correct!

Please read page two of this post,There was fault, and it was my own for doing something I should not have, and not doing something I should have.I have no one to blame but myself.Coming out of the bar I should have checked the lights to make sure they were in working order.Next I was the one that purchased the 4 beers and felt confident I was safe with that amount.Me and Myself is to blame.

The question is how many would look at this and not try and blame someone other than themselves?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

And what does this have to do with morally bankrupt

people in positions of wealth and power, with means and opportunity, who attempt to shape events for their own benefit at the expense of the rest of us?

I don't blame anything wrong in my life on conspirators. But when they try to take from me so they can have more, and they try to lock me out of my own success via the levers of government power - you can be damned sure I'm going to point out their behavior.

That doesn't mean I won't try to find a way around their obstacles. But I'll be damned if I'm not going to call them out on their crimes.

And we aren't just talking money here. Governments have murdered untold millions of people on false pretexts for a very long time. There is no longer any "room" for niceties. These SOB's need to go down. One way or another. And I'm sure as hell not going to avoid exposing their treachery simply because someone may mistake my doing so as playing the "victim/blame game."

It isn't paranoia when they really are out to get you. And that isn't even necessary. No one has to be out to get "me." They just have to act with utter disregard for the consequences of their actions.

Great post.

Well thought out and factual.

The Abuse of Greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power. - Shakespeare

What are you the 'Thought Police'?

Just because you don't think that a crazy amount of coincidences that seem to surround world changing events that would indicate fowl play (and results in losses of liberties) is at all interesting doesn't mean that those that do find them interesting should be restricted from discussing them and questioning those that are linked.

Plus, where do you draw the line. Who decides what is ok to discuss and question and what isn't? I know, why don't we create a government agency that will dictate which issues are ok to discuss, and what questions are ok to ask. Then we can have 'thought police' enforce the rules and lock up those that question the wrong things and discuss the wrong topics. Its a WIN/WIN situation. Not only would we not have to think about what to discuss, this new beuocracy, 'thought police' and increased need to prisons would create jobs too!!!

People would rather talk about conspiracies than politics

One is a fascinating story, the other is useless dribble. (to most people)

Because these "Conspiracy's"

Because these "Conspiracy's" is how they are bringing our country down. Get it?

conspiracy is the meaning of life for many dpers now

instead of the other way, most will try to have constitutional stand points cope with conspiracies somehow. they're not justifying a constitutional standpoint on issues with conspiracies, but rather justifying conspiracies with whatever reason they can find.. an unconstitutional government if they could, but i doubt it really matters for them. the post below even justifies the necessity of conspiracies by saying "well some people don't care about issues".. friggin hilarious and one pathetic reason this is.. all the while admitting the majority of conspiracies are false (yet very little skepticism by the larger community), and of course what comes with that is possibility of endangering one's own credibility and drag down the whole movement's credibility along with it. but who cares. just as little as i do about "ya right the boxcutter theories" "ya right there are no conspiracies in the world. there are no evils". who cares.

and im guessing the jews were

and im guessing the jews were retarded when some of them said their was a conspiracy with hitler wanting to kill them all right?

some ppl dont care about the

some ppl dont care about the issues. Do you get outside any during the day? Ive had conversations with 1000s of ppl who dont give a fuck. they believe they cant do anything so they just dont give a fuck, thats not my asumption, i been told that word for word by NUMEROUS ppl that they cant do anything so they dont really give a fuck, yea they kno somethings wrong, but they dont give a fuck

I'm trying to understand this--

so, if a person believes that some of the 'events' that have happened . . . are 'planned' by powerful people in order to gain more power over a nation full of people and dilute (or destroy) the constitution--

then that person doesn't care about the constitution or believe it is a tremendous piece of work?

Um--

well . . .

I LIVE my life in a constitutional way, and I don't watch MSM, so when things happen "out there" that don't make sense, I question them.

I first heard the words: "shadow government" from . . .

*drums rolling*

Dr. Ron Paul

in my opinion when something about an incident doesn't feel right, if a person is aware that there is such a thing as a 'shadow government', that person begins to wonder--

and it's like a puzzle, fitting the pieces together, in an attempt to see how *they* (some people use the word PTB) are trying to reduce the constitution to what Bush called "a #$@%^ piece of paper".

Also, IF you read history, you discover that many, if not all, of the ancient governments, kingdoms, etc.--were filled to the brim with conspirators, who would commit any atrocity for power.

So, what is so hard to believe about it, when there are so many historical accounts that prove the existence of conspirators?

Something ironic about criticizing people on a Daily Paul (RON Paul) blog . . .

for considering the existence of conspiracies, when Ron Paul HAS mentioned them himself. He is careful; he is wise, but he has.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Some people just will never wake up.

It does no good to hold the entire class back, just to limit everyone to the lowest common denominator.

Just like in any situation, there are those who excel, and those who can't cut the mustard.
'Twas ever thus.

have found

that when I employ the term "strategies" people are more receptive than when I employ the term "conspiracies"...

thinking that tactics in the furtherance of strategic plans is easier for the unawake to consider

cee cee

That is what the GOVT does...

soon you will see the "Cap & Trade" changed to...... "BP Oil Spill" Bill.

"The belief is worthless if the fear of social and physical punishment overrides the belief."

Yes, that's a good "strategy",

Cee Cee.
:)

I think that semantics can be useful in these situations sometimes. But when encountering severe denial, or shallow individuals who are more concerned with the opinions of ignorant peers, it's almost a useless endeavor.

I use a "triage" approach, such as used in battle medical situations. This is because there are alot of folks, and not much time. So I make an assessment from initial conversations about whether I think they can make it. If they seem "save-able", then I spend some time with them. If they are denialists and log-rollers, or are clinging too much to propaganda and can't let go, I just move on to the next person.
Not everybody is gonna make it.

A lot of people i talk to

A lot of people i talk to dont give a f*** about the issues, most of them are not bad enough for them to care about(because they are idiots). A lot of people just dont get it and im sorry but some of those "conspiracies" need to be talked about, and yes some of the conspiracies are completely false and made up by the elite. They do that so most of the conspiracies we talk about are fake and that way the general public stays ignorant and away from us. But lots of them are real. Its all another strategy. The only way to fix it is for a small amount of the population to grab their guns. Thats the only way it will fix, i know we like to say this is different times and all and things can be done peacefully but thats what everybody says about their "times". The freedom movement is doing exactly what the elite want. Just keep doing what the elite want you too and keep your mouth shut and peacefully debate the issues to ppl who will never get it.

The big staged cataclysmic

events are the bread and butter for the elites. After one of these events they can implement parts of their agenda that they otherwise would not have been able to. That is why it is important to constantly challenge they phoney reality we are presented with.
