The Campaign is Scaring the Republican Party (Neo-Cons)

Even though this article got my blood boiling it showed a great insight to the current election process. Ron Paul delegates are showing up and they are starting to scare the Neo-cons something big.

mad - that was beautiful

Not at all rude or derisive, completely true, and very well articulated. Well done!

Letter to the Editor

Thanks to everyone for your comments - I read through them and tried to sum up a few in a letter to the editor of the Bellingham Herald. I'm sure they're getting tons of mail but maybe they'll publish some of it!

To the editor:
I was startled to read that the Whatcom County GOP is deeply concerned about the new influx of support to the Republican Party described in your December 16 story, “County GOP sees influx of Paul backers”. Is the Whatcom GOP actually worried that young, college-educated people have become interested in politics, passionate about a Republican presidential candidate, and will prop up their sagging party? Or are they afraid that someone has decided to use the party system to effect change? Are they bothered because these young “Republicans” support a conservative candidate who insists on the rule of the Constitution, lower taxes, a non-interventionist foreign policy, responsible economic policy, and smaller government? Those are traditional Republican values striking fear in the hearts of the local GOP! You quoted County GOP Central Committeeman John Robinson essentially calling Ron Paul, a 10-term Republican Congressman, a “Republican in name only”. The conservative Texan Republicans who elected him ten times would likely disagree with that accusation. Through decades in Congress, Ron Paul’s consistent voting record has unfailingly reflected that he has maintained his vow to uphold the Constitution of the United States and thus the true values of the party of the Republic, the original Constitutional party. Robinson’s defamatory statements, not Ron Paul’s supporters’ efforts to get involved, should be the real “red alert to regular Republicans” – that the people currently steering the GOP disregard the Constitution and negate the basic values the party traditionally holds dear.
Furthermore, if Robinson and those he represents are concerned that people with traditional Republican values may join and affect the Republican Party, they have every right to be. Ron Paul’s message, the same as that of our founding fathers, has been heard loud and clear by millions. His “radical” supporters are working tirelessly to put him in office and (gasp!) restore the word of the Constitution and, yes, all of our civil liberties too. What Robinson doesn’t realize is that there are already many more Republican Paul supporters in the GOP. They just don’t raise eyebrows because they have grown well beyond their keg-stand years.

I smell a rat

When I applied to be a precinct committee officer in Seattle's King County, the chairman that interviewed me over the phone talked for about 20 minutes about local politics before asking me who I supported for president. Wary of this kind of questioning (kind of like having someone in a job interview ask you "How old are you?" or "Are you gay?"), I decided to provide a safe answer and told him I was undecided but leaning toward Huckabee. At the end of the call I was told he would recommend me for the PCO spot (which lies empty in my extremely liberal neighborhood). The next day I got an indignant call from the chairman, who had googled me and found out through meetup.com that I am a Ron Paul supporter. He defended his "who do you favor?" question as a method of determining "the veracity of my claim" to be a Republican. He insisted that had I been honest and "come out" as a Ron Paul supporter, I would have gotten the PCO spot but he couldn't recommend me now. His explanations sounded plausible, but I still smell a rat.

Funny Justin Mckay was just

Funny Justin Mckay was just telling us lat night at our Ron Paul Holiday Social (followed by our Tea Party tonight) that Sam had contacted him about whether or not RP supporters had a "plan" to infiltrate the GOP to become delegates. Justin told us he said what was quoted in The Herald .(which The Herald is not well known for) Another supporter was at the GOP meeting and he also said that most new people were college age. We have heard when people say they are RP supporters and then want to become PCO's they're told the position is filled wether it really is or not. I will not be divulging my support at the caucus and since I'm not college age I won't stand out.
They don't know what to do with us do they?

It might be better to go back to the old way of

defining positions on issues.

Rather than all of the neo names...why not far right and center?

The republican party has been hijacked by the far right. The far right is characterized by their position on WAR. They prefer to utilize war and tend to support it's use in foreign policy....duh.

OK, the FAR RIGHT is dictating foreign policy and domestic security policy. Folks, the FAR RIGHT is calling the shots.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

It is a miniscule portion of our elected leadership and everyone kisses their BUTTS!

These people are HORRIBLE. The Dems who belong on the left are ON THE FAR RIGHT WITH THE FAR RIGHT republicans!

Now, welcome to the center. We are moderates. We want to end the war and restrain the government.

We are called "fringers."

From the FAR RIGHT of course we look like fringers!

When people speak to you about the Doc?

"Dr. Paul is a moderate, he will bring the troops home and stabilize our spending and monetary policy so our economy will be OK. I would never vote for Rudy or Hillary or Huck they are way too far out on the right wing for me."

IT'S TRUE!

We want it more than they do so we let everyone know we are in the center of American politics, our man is the moderate.

T

Unify

The far right & far left kind of merged into the FAR OUT :-/

Don't Forget Woodrow

Signed the Federal Reserve into law, started our interventionist foreign policy in Europe and signed the first permanent income tax into law (I think . . .) But I would still have to give the prize to Franklin. With Lyndon a close third.

Trembling Tyrants

They do seem a bit frightened. But it makes sense. I've always taken it as a compliment, that the government goes to such great lengths to destroy the people. I mean, if the government was so "all powerful", as they claim to be, then why the secrecy about hurting us. The reason is they're afraid of the reprocussion from We The People. The truth is, they are terrified of us reacting and actually fighting back. Now, I don't underestimate my foe, and this is serious buisiness. But they know we constitutue a powerful force, that's why they're cunning and low key about how they undermine our liberty.

Proof the Neocons don't know what a Republican is

They call Ron Paul the RINO???? That would be funny except for the fact they actually belive this shit. I've been a long time Republican. I know what the Republican stances are. Ron Paul is the only Republican we have running! Unbelievable what the party has become.

I've already decided that if Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination I am leaving the Republican party and going Libertarian. If the Republicans want to become the Repulicrats that's fine with me, but I won't be a part of them.

It seems like they fear us

It seems like they fear us RP supporters more than the terrorists.

"Regular Republicans"?

That was a good article, very eye-opening. Here's a quote from it,

“That should be a red alert to regular Republicans,” Robinson said. “If you don’t want your party taken over, you better get involved.”

Regular Republicans? What, the kind that sit back, do nothing, give nothing, wait to be told who to vote for by the party and then follow orders?

I have been a Republican almost all of my adult life. WE should be the "Regular Rpublicans."

Lynden Johnson? LyndEn???

This guys a real genius... He's obviously a real history buff... He talked about how Goldwater ran against "Lynden Johnson".
The first name of the worst president of the 20th century is spelled Lyndon...

First name of the worst president of the 20th century

Actually, it's spelled "Franklin".

Read this now! The neocons fear us!

This is what we all need to do. Read and follow through.

IMPORTANT

I have been asking and looking for this information. Thank you for finally giving me something I can understand. I even asked an election judge and got something I could not use or understand. This is extremely important and needs its own Forum Topic and you need to keep it out there. Is also leads us into being the delegates that we need to all do?
Right? This is like the "boss" of the delegates. How do we just become delegates? If we don't do this?

I'm making a plea to place...

...this article on the front page !!!

RP supporters need to know the mindset of the inner-core of the Republican Party.

We also need to know that we ARE having an effect, and that we need to DOUBLE OUR EFFORTS !!!

I STILL can't get over this article !!!!!

Nothing to Fear

We just want you to stay home on Primary night, and we just want to restore the constitution, Peace, Prosperity and put an end to Evil Monopolizing Establishments propped up by Government.

There really is nothing to Fear. US RP fans are nice folks and nearly harmless!!!

Speak for yourself, cam.shane...lol (just kidding...kinda )

Great article. It's true,

Great article. It's true, it's true.:) We are taking over. Kinda irritating though when they call Ron a RINO when he is the only RR.

They only come out at night; and for primaries. --Alien

Leave Us Alone and Bring the Troops Home

LOL

That was a GREAT quote!

Be afraid, be VERY afraid...

fear

What the republicans fear, and probably have nightmares about, is paul running as a 3rd party candidate..that would doom the entire party..

Yet...

If they just supported Dr. Paul the Republicans would win and they could be happy. I guess they are afraid of their own happiness.

History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Have you listened to Dr.

Have you listened to Dr. Paul's videos on Neo-Cons. Even if Dr. Paul wins, the Republicans who are against him WILL NOT be happy. What he wants is NOT what they want. But Dr. Paul is not the trojan horse, they are. Dr. Paul is the true Republican. They are the intruders, and very, very successful intruders they are because they have the money and are "tricky" and never allow themselves to lose no matter what.

Awwwwwwwwwww, poor babies...lol

Maybe they should just take their little rattlers and blankies and go home...or STAY HOME come the election...lol/.

Hialrious

Ron Paul isn't a real Republican or represent real Republican values! What a turn the party has taken. An anti gun rights, supporter of federally funded abortion, New York Liberal is the front runner and Ron Paul is a RINO!

I would say the Bellingham GOP should be happy and excited that anyone wants to be apart of the GOP these days considering they have pursued an agenda the past 7 years that has alienated 70% of Americans. Instead of trying to marginalize us they should be cooperating with us. The GOP will the go the way of the bull moose and the whig if it thinks it can be some exclusive country cub.
