An Early Ron Paul Birthday Party

As you may or may not know, August 20th is Ron Paul’s 75th birthday! This week the Seattle C4L chapter had an early birthday party to celebrate:

The most exciting thing was when I went to Safeway to order the cake. The gals in the bakery, young and older, the checker, and customers in line all knew who Dr. Paul was and were in agreement that the Republic is in grave danger! The store is not far from University of Washington (Safeway at Roosevelt and 75th).

We had a blast!

My fellow Seattlelites (and DPers),

We meet every 2nd Monday night at Piecora's on Madison and 14th...our arms are open to welcome you as we walk the Freedom Trail together. Check out our meetup site.

I ended up bringing the remainder of the cake home after carefully cutting and serving pieces from the perimeter and I cannot bear to eat let alone cut the image of Dr. Paul's face.

I believe Michael gives a pass for using the image for cakes....

How did I miss this???

I would have been there for sure but I didn't know about it and I live in Seattle.

Did WA State C4L send noticies out about this?

I don't remember ever hearing about it.

This Year's RP Birthday

It has been a long-standing tradition to hold a barbecue birthday bash in celebration of his birthday in August of each year. It has been held in different cities in the 14th Congressional District, and got bigger each time. My wife and I have made it a point to attend each year for the last several years.

However I have not heard anything to indicate that one is being held this year. I find it odd that they would discontinue this custom without so much as a mention.

Does anyone else know anything about this?

What a Shame

To cut it.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Thank cake is amazing! LOL, Michael did you

ever expect to see your graphic image in frosting?

Thanks Michael

Does anyone know if he is having a Birthday Party in Galviston like last year? I got to meet Dr. Paul for the first time, I can tell you I was sooooo excited to shake his hand I was shaking in side. Lots of fun, great speakers, well worth the 9 hr drive.

I think I am

to make sure to go that one this year.

It is pretty touching to see

It is pretty touching to see all those people with a cake for Ron Paul. He has got to be one of the most beloved statesman this country has had in a long time. Ron Paul seems like an everyday guy you could have fun going fishing with or just having a conversation. The community that has sprung up around him is a beautiful thing. Reminds me of what America should be like and how we ought to be treating each other.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a grown man and when I saw that photo and read the brief text, my eyes watered up. Happy birthday, buddy. We all love you and what you've done for this country. A BIG thanks to Michael too. He's done about as much as anyone who isn't in Congress can.

Love all of you!
