Who's flagging prayer?

Please join me in a novena of Rosaries from today (Tea Party) till Christmas Eve.

Not me
I am not the flagger. I do however propose a "separation of church and campaign." It's a big tent. People who want liberty should feel welcome regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof. One thing that impresses me about Ron Paul is that he does what Jesus said. Translated into the vernacular, "Keep it in the closet." Mark 1:35 Mathew 6:6
Prayer is personal. I will
Prayer is personal. I will mention however, that I pray often for God (higher power) to surround Dr. Paul with his Warring Angels and carry out HIS will that is perfect. To LOVE one another is God's greatest commandment. And I am not ashamed to remind people of it.
Just to be clear...
If you want to get together with fellow believers and pray, go for it! And thank you for your concern! Just please refrain from downing alternate deity believers /non-believers.
Freedom unites us! Religions divide us. Let's be united!
...let it not be said that we did nothing.

Apologies
Looking back over a previous post, I have to say it was a bit grating. Of course there is nothing wrong with prayer. That truly IS the thing about Ron Paul: he has the uncanny ability to speak the truth and the truth unites people who may not agree on everything else. It's just a kind of sadness coming over me now. I am 57 years old and I have seen this kind of excitement over men before, and it worked out badly. If we believe that the real powers behind the throne will allow Ron Paul to become President of the United States, we are deluded. Gandhi did, in fact, say that first they ignore, then ridicule, then attack you and then you win. However, there is in the USA another step between "then they attack you" and "then you win": then, they kill you.
Pray not only for Dr. Paul's victory but for his survival. God bless, and I really do apologize for being abrasive.
We should be inclusive
The main point of the post is that Ron Paul supporters should not censor one another because they disagree. Dr. Paul has brought so many people together and that is a good thing. To flag a post because you don't believe in prayer is counterproductive. A better idea would be to post something about actions which need to be taken, but don't discourage those who believe their prayers help, they just might make the difference. Whether you call it prayer or the law of attraction or focused attention, there is a "spiritual" aspect to all of us. Let's work together and respect our differences of opinion.
AntiDefamationLeauge or cair do it
Well if some one would like to pray i would like to see the first person acknowledged for stopping them. thats worth about 1000 stones.
I know this will be controversial but...
I think its sad that Jesus has so much to do with politics in the states. In canada it would be considered backwards to use religion as a talking point in politics of a secular society. I have nothing against prayer or any other focused intent but i think that the downfall of america is its 30 year old obsession to become a theocracy. Jesus said HE will establish his kingdom on earth...he doesnt need any helpers.

Brilliant article that explains why we love Dr. Paul:

I think thats harsh and its what keeps atheism
from becoming mainstream. persoally i think that reason must triumph over dogma and humanistic morals over religiosity in order for there to be REAL progress in the world. Atheists like Sam Harris and Hitchens just turn people off by belittling their faith. IMHO the truly intelligent position is atheism which Dawkins reluctantly admits to holding. Pls dont insult others just because you dont share their views

Easy Jeff,
It's difficult for some to face reality. We are rallying behind Ron Paul for individual freedom and peace. Religious conformity is not our goal.
To our believing brothers/sisters:
Please let's put our differences aside for now. We absolutely respect your right to believe whatever you want with regard to a god or gods. Our goal is individual freedom and liberty. Thank you for your support.
...let it not be said that we did nothing.

AMEN to prayer
The Scripture says that "The effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16(KJV) [Let me add that people are only righteous through accepting Christ as Savior]
I do not believe that this movement would go or have gone anywhere without prayer and the blessing of Almighty God our Heavenly Father. I urge all my fellow believers in Christ who read this post to pray first for revival in USA and around the world and then to pray that Cong. Paul be successful and be elected President. We are close to losing our liberties. If we do, the Christians will be among the first detained.
Pray on! PRAY ON!

Disagree
The so-called "christians" will be the ones doing the detaining. Have you noticed that the neocons are either "christian" or "jewish"? Certainly that has not escaped your attention. You cannot possibly believe that "only Christians are righteous".
Well, there are Christians
Well, there are Christians and then there are Christians. I'm a Christian and I don't relate at all to deflated money, nation building, world religion, world government, world currency, turning over our sovereinty, etc. Free Mason's are Christians. New Age is based on the Bible and believes Jesus is the son of God. Satin believes Jesus is the son of God. The "dark side" will tell and say absolutely anything to get what they are after. Christian is absolutely too general a word to attach a clear meaning to and that is a problem we all need to get past. Also the Bible says 1/3 of the Jews will go to heaven. That leaves a big number out there!!
I second your post Sandy, I
I second your post Sandy, I too have been asking Jesus for revival in the U.S., and that He would bless our country with freedom once again. It always astounds me that God reveals the same message to Christians that are a world apart and don't know eachother. God spoke the message of revival to both of us, just imagine the good work God must be preparing for this country. I of course agree (as many other here do aswell) that our liberties our almost in ruin. We must remember our true history. This country's founding fathers were largely Christian (not all, but most). And they followed James 5:16 as well. They prayed fervently that Jesus their Saviour would bless this land and give them and their posterity freedom. And God delivered ten fold. I believe He can give us our freedom once again.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Once again you have to wonder....
...why people that don't believe in prayer go completely ape when prayer is talked about.

Prayers for Paul
Ok, I 'm no church-goer but you can you tell me what prayer(s) you are reciting from now until Christmas.
I never witnessed "spirit" before until I saw people across this nation, correction- this world, coming together behind Ron Paul's message of freedom. His candidacy has fired up the true spirit of patriotism that was alive during the Founding of this Nation! And it's likely not going away soon! The "American spirit" is indeed alive and I for one can see it with my own eyes.
So send me the prayer(s) at http://www.myspace.comarchtoplee
Thanks

OOOO I got one.
Less TALK, More ACTION!! kthxbai
Seriously, are we really having this argument?
Replace every ACTION of promoting RP with PRAYING about it.
What Will happen? Nothing
Replace every PRAYER with an ACTION of promoting RP and you'll see a lot more results.... I'm pretty sure God will get the message as you are posting signs for a Christian President, Don't you think?
God IS supposed to be all knowing, so really I'm sure he'd take the hint....
Prayer and action are not
Prayer and action are not self eliminating. You can pray all you want and act all you want at the same time. True well-meaning prayer never slowed anyone down. Not to worry. Pray, pray, pray--work, work, work.
Like the poster said what
Like the poster said what does it hurt to say a prayer? It hurts no one. If you don't believe in prayer, just don't read the post. Of all the controversial articles we read on here, it is refreshing to see all the positive articles on dailypaul on such an inspiring and patriotic day.
Just remember
there are people here trying to cause trouble and conflict on PURPOSE. The division between groups is just what they want look how
easy it is. I have been on this site since May or June and I have seen it
grow by leaps and bounds. I have also seen people come in and try to start trouble just so you know that there are people here that are paid just to tick us off. We have to pay attention, in a free society there is freedom of speech and that is how Michael is trying to run his site. In a free society we also have the right to ignore, so if there is something that you thought was offensive do not comment on it and it will slip away. The beauty of the campaign there is room for everyone. Ron Paul is getting big and the trash talk and slander will come big time and we have to be ready to defend our candidate and his honor. With respect and peace welcome all.
Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.
Hmmmm....
I always found it odd that those who raise the biggest stink about prayer are always the ones that say they don't believe in it in the first place. Seems no one brings up God more than an Athiest. That's a lot of talk about something that's not even there.
Live and let live
Shep
Live and let live. Exactly.
I don't put down xtians for what they believe, but I will respond when they put down followers of other (or no) religions.
Please. Freedom unites. Religion divides.
...let it not be said that we did nothing.

My religious views
I am kind of an undecided. I like reading the bible, but also think the Gnostic gospels have some relevence on that side of the fence too. I like the teachings of Buddha and it's logical ties to modern day physics. I pray/meditate sometimes just because it makes me feel better and I think it does effect the prayed for. I have even worshipped the sun a time or two. I feel close to "God" standing in the middle of a great library.
I don't push my religious views on people though. I MIGHT be walking through Hell sometime and would hate for someone I once knew to tap me on the shoulder and say, "Hey, thanks alot, buddy!".
I can't always be a kind and gentle soul, sometimes the entire..

One of the great mistakes
Why do you not spell out G O D? Do you honestly believe - as do some Jews - that G O D is actually the Supreme Entities' name? It's a bit superfluous, don't you think? This is the kind of thing that a Huckleberry Huckabee might say with his astounding (lack of) knowledge of religion? Please, less pomposity.
You can't hardly be a kind and gentle soul,
Jesus didn't come to kick ass on those who didn't know him. He kicked ass on people who acted like you. The self-righteous, legalistic, unmerciful and high minded Pharisees.
I might also add that they were duplistic and corrupt. And they were responsible for promoting religous beliefs over spiritual health.
God is a healer not a "Goomba"
We needed to get this out because that's what religious wars are all about. We need truth light on this.
You confuse your beliefs with the truth.
Your beliefs don't set anyone free. But the truth DOES.
