Uhhh Treg I think we already have that

Its called a tourist visa.

Is "For Freedom" really David Fitzgerald?

Just curious... because "For Freedom" is but 3 weeks or so old on this DP blog. If they are one in the same, then it would be honest and instructive, from which we could perhaps discuss with you why you may be mistaken, big time, no the CLOSED BORDER issue. Getting Arizona to do the Federal Government's bidding is insulting, let alone stupid on Arizona's part. If anything, Arizona should issue its own BLUE CARD, allowing immigrants - peaceful ones-- into the State of Arizona. The BLUE CARD would not allow them State Welfare, but other than that they would be FREE ... free to live, work, buy property & play. They would be of course under our State laws and jurisdiction, but would have LIBERTY to do as they pleased. So would citizens of Arizona... we would be at LIBERTY to live, work, buy property and play with them as well. The BLUE CARD would not be a path to US citizenship or voting and it would not be a ticket to welfare. Furthermore, a good INDEPENDENT STATE of ARIZONA could then make an agreement with Mexico, stating that the same number of BLUE CARD holders here, Mexico gives to our Arizonans THERE. Finally we would have the right to Live, work, and play in Mexico. Right now, contrary to how the press plays it, Arizona really is doing the bidding for the Feds.

In peace & freedom,
Treg

Whoooooo Are you, who, who? Well read below.

Sorry for late repsone, I was campaigning and I am in a close race.

For those who doubt where I was in 2007, I didn't know who Ron Paul was until November of 2007. In fact I was so disgusted with both parties I registered as an Independent in October of 2007. Then watching the debates just as most of us "Sheeple" did. I thought I was an educated voter (until I became educated I didn't realize how dumb I was politically and I’m still learning) and then I saw Ron Paul. At first I thought he had issues because of his frustration, but I listened to what he had to say and thought it made sense. Then I watched another debate and said to myself this guy makes sense. Then I started to Google him, after that I was hooked and switched back to Republican. (all verifiable) I sent Ron Paul $200 on the December 16th Tea Party Money Bomb and then bought signs from his website. (Also verifiable) I attended my first meet up at the first Friday art walk in January of 2008 without knowing anyone. This is the meet up group that ED Vallejo, Shelton aka 4409, Ernie Hancock and others ran. I became very active in Ron Paul’s campaign and with this group (also verifiable).

I spent money and time to outfit a race car trailer I had to a rolling professional bill board and sign shop that when with me everywhere I went. I would have hundreds of signs in the trailer and would go to the work shop to help as Ernie and the others would organize for us to do sign blast around town (verifiable). I lived in the NW valley and there were only hand full of us patriots in this side of town, but we Kicked butt. We did sign waves, put up signs etc. But I took it further than 90% of everyone on this site; I knocked on registered Republican’s doors talking to them about Ron Paul. I did what Ron Paul said; do you remember? He said "if I became president it wouldn't matter if I'm the only one; we need everyone to get evolved and run for office". I did just that, I became a PC and then I became a State Delegate to support Ron Paul at the State convention, were you there to as delegate to support Ron Paul? Do you know Ron Paul lost to McCain by only 4 votes at that convention? We could have used you! You see, since there were 11 or 12 candidates, no one had the 1135 delegates needed to win the election. So there was a run off at the conventions and only Delegates could vote in our state Convention. I was in St Paul for the big rally, I guess I could dig up my credit card receipt for you on that one as well, or the road trip in my motor home to the rally in St Louis.

You see, I have been working Ron Paul’s plan of bringing the GOP back to its roots and for us to have our country back in one or two election cycles. Or did you critics miss that one too? I’m in this for the long haul and if we work together we can make a difference. Can everything be perfect…….of course not, but what I see from most of you is your ability to criticize, complain and judge everyone, but I don’t see most of you standing next to me as I collect 8,000 signatures MY SELF to end photo radar! You know those cameras that have facial and license plate recognition being stored for three years of your driving patterns……. Yes, those fourth amendment violating, guilty until proven innocent, not being able to face your accuser Dang cameras! I was there at the beginning of Camera Fraud.

The one thing I didn’t do right according to some is I need to sit in my chair more and tell everyone else what I did today. I do admit I’m not a glory hound, I don’t gloat about what I did; I just did it! I have not been one to sit on a computer and chat all day, I’m usually moving all the time. Updating my Face Book page, twitter, blogs etc. is the toughest thing for me to do as a candidate. I am out working trying to change minds and policies. 9 of us went into the largest district in AZ, LD 4 and we took over the 4 of 5 officer positions in that district. After I became vice chair, I was running the meeting and then I started to make changes in the Republican Party to loosen the grip of power with striping the nomination committee of their power to cherry pick the candidate they choose. If anyone wants details on that call me, 480-688-8217. It started in my district, but then went state wide. Not to mention we started to educate a room full of Republicans with YouTube video’s on the Federal Reserve, the difference of Democracy and Republic, talking about freedom issues etc. It is amazing the minds you can change when you are the “authority” in the room, people listen to you; you should try it.

Changes start small, we didn’t lose our Country in one day and we won’t get it back in one day either. We need to make changes we can, and educate people at their own pace. Usually, the education takes awhile, however there will come a point they will start telling you “Did you hear about????” Most of us try to give a person who is thirsty for knowledge, a drink from a fire hose. If you do that, they won’t listen to you and think you are crazy. However if you give them a drink with a cup at first, soon they will be drinking from Niagara Falls! I’ve seen it happen. Sometimes the change may not be fast enough for us, we want to teach someone what we have learned in 20 years about the straw man and the corporate USA vs Sovern USA (yep, I know about all that as well, not many neo cons know that stuff)so we try to teach all of it in 20 minutes. They think you are crazy. We need to be smart and pick our battles. I know everyone thinks we can just yell through a bull horn louder and they will listen………guess what, they won’t. I view government as a Bull Dozer and our current politicians as the driver of the bull dozer. They can do good with the bull dozer or mow you and your house down. We are standing in a field in our boxer shorts and yelling to them to stop, some of us really get made and show up with signs and yell louder to stop. Why would they want to stop, you pose NO threat to them, they will just run you over! The only way to stop the destructive path of government, we have to be in the bull dozer with the keys and controls! Then we could use the bull dozer to fix roads and build dams with it. Of course I am talking about using “limited” government to protect our god given rights, and reduce its size to Constitutional levels.

For the record, when asked, about 1070, I always said I support it with one exception; we don’t need to share law abiding citizen’s license information with the federal government aka National ID. This is a link for my interview of Round Table politics where I talk about it at the 17 minute mark http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8373553 . I am not a seasoned politician, but a patriot who stepped up to the plate and going out of my comfort zone, working hard doing the right things to get elected. I can do more good in the State House to bring these things to light than I can, waving a sign in a field with my boxer shorts!

So, Any doubters, I would challenge you to come to walk in my shoes and collect 8,000 signatures in parking lots, NASCAR races, gas stations, gun shows etc; knock on doors, call 12,000 people personally, sign up hundreds of PC’s so we can vote to make a change, run for office and get elected, run meetings, put up 400 4x4 and 4x8 signs with rebar (not to mention hundreds for Ron Paul), spend $15,000 out of my pocket. I’m NOT Rich! I had to cash in all of my savings and put in most of my pay checks in to come up with money to run my race! I did it because I made the commitment to run for office and once I made the commitment there was no turning back. All to have others criticize you because you only signed up two months ago to chat with others and I might be a Neo Con! That is so far from reality it’s not funny. The border issue is a tricky one, and I agree there are many opinions of what is the best solution, but I believe we shouldn’t sacrifice one ounce of our freedom for safety (talking about 1070).

I put my cell on my website and I say in my post things like “I’m running, visit my website” etc. Telling everyone For Freedom is David Fitzgerald, nothing too hid here. Like I said, I’m not a glory hound, but if you ask around to the people who were involved in Phoenix, I have accomplished much for helping freedom. No one is perfect or has all the answers, but I am closer to Ron Paul’s positions on every issue than any AZ Candidate out there. In fact you talk about my positions on my website; you may not know this, maybe because you didn’t read it, but most come directly from Ron Paul himself! I can’t think of one thing of Ron Paul’s positions I disagree with. Please call me for any other questions of doubt about me. WWW.DavidFitzgerald2010.com I can talk much, much faster that I can type. :o)

For those who support me and have helped me I deeply appreciate it, I can’t tell you how much it means to me. I’ve never had to ask for financial help before and it is hard for me to ask for help, especially when I know how much each of us is hurting financially. I was able to raise about $2k from money bomb and $6k from knocking on doors and asking for it. I thank everyone who donated from the bottom of my heart. I’m in a race where I was in the lead this morning with 63 votes and this afternoon I’m down 40 votes with about 2,200 ballots to count. I hope I can pull it off. Not too bad with about a $23,000 budget compared to the $100,000 big business poured into my opponents campaign.

Before we pour any money in anyone’s Campaign, I would ask you to look if they have done the things necessary to win. Like running for a smaller office and winning for starters. If you think we can just run the first time out and win just because we” yell real loud” about everything that is wrong, that is not likely going to happen. Most will need to prove themselves as a worker that can get things done and earn respect in the party that is most likely to win in your district. The party is just a vehicle to get into office; it’s what you “do” in office that tells if you’re a patriot or globalist. I just happen to be a Republican my whole life except for that one month. We need patriots in office and I don’t care if you have an R, D, L or G in front of your name. I am a patriot who has done that work and I have a real chance of winning.

Thanks again!

For Freedom aka David Fitzgerald :o)

Everyone chip in what you can. We need a Blue Card plan for Arizona and to get rid of this immigration tyranny.

I am so Greatful

Thank you so much for everyone's support. I know some are arm chair critics, but I hope they learn I am the real deal. Not perfect by any means, but I attend like minded individuals to study our founding documents each Thursday night to continually learn. I love this Country and I will "Work" with others to restore it. I realize that 95% of the people complain and 5% do the work; I am one of the 5%.

Thank you so much for your support. I could use any help that you guys can give me, please donate to www.DavidFitzgerald2010.com and help me please.

I like the Blue Card idea

I like the Blue Card idea too! Having this done state by state would be easier to control as well! However, we have to deal with a different game, my friend.

Sounds like a great plan Treg, but....

.... what's the liklihood of it happening?

I have an idea. 0%.

The powers that be already have their plan which is in motion.

National IDs for all citizens of the north american union. Amnesty, open borders, Social Security, medical and retirement benefits paid for by us taxpayers to workers from south of the border.

A "common defense sphere" and open borders for all CANAMEX nations. Integrated national id databases, making them international.

So, while I appreciate your Libertarian vision, it's likelihood is 0% and we're fighting to try to prevent the scenario above whose liklihood is 50%-90% between now and 2016.

after reading uncountable threads on immigration--

I am convinced there are no 'sides', no real sides.

Everyone is wrong. There are no solutions. Not from any of the people who propose them.

Unfortunately, the American economy is headed for trouble without this southern border problem. Unfortunately, in spite of this southern problem, wars continue in the middle east which have nothing to do with the southern border.

Unfortunately, people are losing their jobs in areas where there are no people from the southern border threatening jobs.

This problem is so much bigger than a southern border that has had holes in it for too long. It is bigger than a massive welfare state which will soon no longer be able to sustain anyone, no matter from what side of the border they originated.

*My* belief now is that *our* hope is to educate and prepare those who still have a spark of liberty within them.

I applaud you for trying. It does seem, however, that you have a 'open borders'/'closed borders' paradigm--

and many of the people on DP have gone beyond those paradigms in an effort to see the real problems--

I wish you luck. My heart goes out to Arizona. And the people south of the border.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Going beyond the Open Borders/Closed Borders paradigm

Is a good way to phrase it.

Treg

David Fitzgerald who? Where were you in 2007?

I led, I think, the 2nd or 3rd largest Ron Paul Meet-up in my State of Arizona in 2007-8, and I so I was pretty active, yet I do not recall David Fitzgerald in the R3VOLution. I may be wrong of course, so if anyone knows, please prove it otherwise.

Next, a review of Fitzgerald ISSUES page gives me no indication that David Fitzgerald is one of us. Maybe he is, maybe he is just a right wing neo-con.

His pro 1070 stance is foolish on the 4th amendment reasons and will back-fire by giving the State still more power to ID and RFID chip us all. Furthermore, the Free Flow of Movement across borders, in both directions, is a good thing not a bad thing.

Like the Drug War, which is a government created problem in the first place, so too is the "illegal immigration". We in the Freedom Phoenix activists headquarters have been fighting the Nazi-fication of our State... not helping it along. From protesting Cameras at every intersection and freeway http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRdXasJ6S18&feature=related , to illegal unconstitutional "checkpoints" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kantS-kzIWU&feature=channel

Today's news about Germany going RFIDing its citizens...(its cattle)... not good, not good. There was a time when Patriots said, lets RFID & CHIP all Government employees, starting from the TOP down. Lets track their work habits, their spending or our money, their every move, and lets publish it all openly on the net, for all PRIVATE CITIZENS to see and MONITOR! Not THAT is what I call a FREE SOCIETY. http://dailypaul.com/node/142908 Few people seem able to CONNECT the DOTs... and so help the State Squeeze its noose every closer around our collective necks. At least on the this issue, David Fitzgarald is not connecting the dots and seems hell bent on having my State be a willing servant of the Federal Government's own immigration policy. The fact that the feds do nothing is a good thing, not a bad thing.

If anything, David Fitzgerald should be saying he wants to see the border work both ways, free flow of Americans going South, the right to buy property for Americans wishing to do so in other countries.

David may be a good guy on our side, but I have my doubts.

Do you support NAFTA too?

Do you live in an area that has been impacted by illegal immigration? ...Seriously impacted to the point that a once-quaint or even normal town is over-run by illegals and/or descendants of illegals?

You encourage Fitzgerald to address the welfare issue rather than the immigration issue... and I'd encourage you to address the RFID issue rather than the immigration issue. I'd argue that supporting a non-educated, mass of ever more sheeple does not bode well for our fight to protect liberty. Especially when the majority of Hispanics favor big government.

[Mr. Fitzgerald, please don't let your detractors in this movement deter your efforts to secure our boarders just as Ron Paul advocates.]

I do not support NAFTA , Welfare, or a Closed Border

Define "over-run".

Question, if once-quaint or even "normal" town is over-run (to use your words not mine)with millionaire swedes and Britons ... would you mind it? Really? You would be bothered by all the money and business that your once small town would be doing? You would be bothered by all the business they buy, employees they hire, the jobs they create? you would be bothered by the culture they bring with them? The language? Push one for British, two for Swedish.... And "their" politics? Oh and their children too? You would be bothered with millions of very rich Britons and Swedes? Selling houses to them and renting luxury hotel rooms?

Perhaps you would. But if not, I would then say its a case of class-ism... you don't like the poorer classes. And by the way, poor as the illegals are, they are certainly hard working and certainly rent apartments, buy groceries, and contribute to the economy.

Again, do you live in an area

Again, do you live in an area that has been seriously impacted by illegal immigration? Despite getting no answer from you, I will gladly give an answer to you. To define over-run, I agree with most of those definitions which already exists in a common dictionary:

• to run or spread out over so as to cover
• to infest or swarm over, as vermin
• to invade by a rapid, broad advance
• to spread swiftly throughout
• to run or extend beyond (certain limits):

Just like the left, you seem to try making this into a race issue. This is not about race, as much as it is about protecting the welfare, well-being, security, and quality of life for those citizens which have already invested, contributed, and assimilated into this country.
And to answer your other question, I personally would mind if a town is overrun by any socio-economic or ethnic group, because that would mean that that once quaint or normal (doesn’t have to be small) town was …fricken overrun, at the expense of the existing community. Overrun is a strong term with offensive and repulsive connotations. I don’t care how much money or what color the skin is. I welcome assimilation and diversity. But what I have said for years now is that when diversity trumps UNITY (which I have seen in many communities here in CA), then what good have we really achieved for those that have built wonderful communities …only to see them decay to gangs, violence, etc… I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to walk down a formerly safe street with your significant other, and had some thugs threaten, harass, or insult you. I have …and it’s not hard then to resent the negative changes to the community that have occurred due in part to communities being overrun in some cases. My former wife would tell me of being stared at and followed around by these people, but never from a member of the existing community.

And this is not about class either. All classes are able to learn from each other and to help each other when one class isn’t overrunning the others out of town. My argument is about assimilation at a more reasonable rate and under legal circumstances. I welcome the culture, labor, business, trade, diversity, etc… by any ethnic or socio-economic group, just not when it leads to decay of once-successful, desirable communities. And the fact that these illegal immigrants bring with them their high birth rates, dependent needs, and language barriers …all the more reason why I will not agree with your take on this matter. Good luck with your fast-breeding herd of sheep, that think they’ve already reached paradise.

Well Said

You cannot put 100 people in a 1 bedroom house overnight and expect to keep any kind of peaceful order for very long. Even a hundred years ago when there was immigrants flooding into this place we had some type of system of documentation to at least try to adjust practically to the obvious changes that would occur.

"I have found that being rich is not about having the most but about needing the least"

Freedom is popular!

I love it! At the bottom of your post you cry... Freedom is popular!... right after you beg for support in your quest to deny certain people their freedom.

People like you are the reason that any government is dangerous.

Has Mr. Fitzgerald told you...

that he is against someone coming to this country legally in search of liberty and freedom? Because if he HASN'T then you're out of line. What are we supposed to do... allow anyone to enter illegally, dependent, and often criminally-minded?

Your assumption that this candidate would deny a legal immigrant his/her quest for freedom/liberty is a cheap shot, and a lowering of your own credibility.

Get off your Rear and do something!

How do I or did I, deny anyones Freedom? Did I pass a Law stating they can't attack me? Freedom of speech is alive and well. I just want to be able to get my word out. Is there a problem with that? or do you just sit on your rear-end and complain. Think about what you said, and it makes no sense what so ever. Stop complaining and do something!

It's because of people like you our government is so dangerous, because you don't get off your rear and run for office or support someone who is willing to make the sacrifice.

It's not enough anymore to vote and have a right to complain. You need to work hard for Freedom, collecting signatures, putting up signs, running for office etc, after you do that then you can complain, but think before you speak.

For Freedom

"If you want to change government, you have to become government" Ron Paul

For Freedom!

I think what Odysseus (or my name is Nobody) is saying is...

that the certain people your quest is denying the freedom of are our neighbors to the south. I know that it is heretical to think of the human condition over the patriotic condition. If any North american dares to put him or herself in the position of the south or central american, he might relate to this analogy of a (insert the "M" word) friend of mine. "Let's say there is a beautiful valley with horses running free and a river running through it. For whatever reasons, corruptions, catastrophes... or anything else you can imagine, horses and their families on one side have no more grass to sustain themselves and they look across the river to the amazing abundance of grass and resources on the other side. Knowing that there is danger and breaking the law to venture across the river, they do swim to reach the food that can sustain themselves and their families back home. The horses on the fat side want to kick the crap out of them and turn them into the glue factory for daring to eat their grass." Ok. I know my viewpoint just excommunicates me from the freedom movement. (Thank God the "M" word I used did not mean "Muslim" or I would be in real trouble.)

I Understand your point

Open borders might not be a problem if we didn't have a welfare state. However we do have a welfare state and we can't afford to take care of the world. We can be generous through our churches and communities, but not government. government has no roll of giving what is not theirs.

Think about it; if it is easier to take what is not theirs, they will have no motivation to make changes for the better in their own country. South America is a land of abundance with the cost line rich with fishing, farming areas etc. they could prosper, but not until they stand up and do what is necessary to take back control. I know it is a hard fight to do that, but it is worth fighting for. It would be easier if I robbed a bank or the Federal Reserve to support my family, because they have so much money and I need so little money. Just because someone has a better life than you, it doesn’t give you the right to take their resources from them. They need to rise up to take their country back, just as many of us are doing here in America.

Thanks for your comments.

The ability to rip off Welfare is just another reason to end it!

The fact that SOME illegals take welfare, is a reason against WELFARE, not the other way around.

Good for you, Dave!

It is precisely because "they" don't get off "their" rear-end's and run for office that we are in the mess we're in!!!

THANK YOU for citing the ROOT problem with many of these purely intellectual arm-chair quarterbacks!

If we're still stuck with the "lesser of two evils"; at least we can CHOOSE to TRUST a man, a candidate running as a statesman supporting LIBERTY; to actually keep his WORD and fight for limited government once we SEND him into Congress...rather than just QUIT and COMPLAIN that nothing will ever change!

(it's still easier for far too many to have a mini-Tea Party in their living room watching Glenn Beck do his 90% conservative dance; or listen to Alex Jones complain about the elite's, while blogging anonymously all day!)

Thank You for answering your critics BOLDLY; I am confident we are getting somewhere though, gaining ground, provoking thoughts, impacting minds and hearts for TRUTH....so stick with it(and us) no matter what!

good point

about the "mini-tea parties" in folks' living rooms. Its so true. I hear so many people complain...but so few are actually involved on any level outside of complaining over coffee.

On the positive, it is changing and will continue to change as things move forward.

I just smile and tell people, "Ron Paul, Ya'll."
