Ron Paul says, "Rand's his own man...."

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/08/ron-paul-rands-h...

They have a difference of opinion on the mosque.
No problem, Rand is Ron's son not his clone.
Franklin Roosevelt had a son who was a Republican. The Pauls are still in the same party.

It's all about...

...what Rand says and does ONCE HE'S IN OFFICE.

Right now he's just an opthamologist and last I checked, opthamologists can't vote against unconstitutional legislation in the senate.

I'll turn on Rand if he behaves like a neo-con while in office. Until then, I'll just assume he's playing the game so he can get the neo-con vote, because, without them, he can't win. They are still the majority amongst Republican voters. Even the majority of Tea Partiers (the Ron Paul faction is a small percentage of the Tea Party) are neo-cons on A LOT of issues and the only reason most of them even show up at the rallies and protests is because there's a Democrat in the White House and Democrat majority in both houses.

Let the man do what it takes to win. Judge him when his words and actions actually matter. Right now you're criticizing a small-town eye-doctor.

Rand Panders

I'm glad I live in Ron Paul's district. He is clear and principled on his positions. Rand, on the other hand, sounds more and more like a politician every day. I even think it has gotten worse since he won the Republican nomination.

Rand needs to have a heart to heart with his dad. If I lived in Kentucky, I would never vote for his opponent but would hold my nose and vote for Rand.

Did you ever stop to think that if people used their own minds

and intelligence and weren't guided by all the crap they hear on the moving picture box that things might be different ? How is a someone supposed to try and implement REAL CHANGE without pandering to the ignorant masses. It's a catch 22, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Exactly why do you think these television programs put out this kind of theater? Because they know it works, it is pathetic, and it speaks to the dumbed down stupidity of the people who listen and believe, but it works. I honestly believe that critical thinking is dead and gone it's been replaced by feel good comedy and crap.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Actually

Rand and Ron's positions are not inconsistent.

The media is just trying to drive a fake wedge between them.

Rand never said they shouldn't be able to build the Mosque. he said the feds should stay out of it. That it's a local issue but HE WOULD PREFER if they built it elsewhere.
Nothing wrong with that as long as you respect their right to build it if they want, as Rand and Ron both do.

Ron said this is not about whether they SHOULD build it there. It's about politicians demagoguing the issue for political points.

Rand never brings up the Mosque except the time he was directly asked about it when he said "it's a local issue though I'm not sure it's the best idea."

I agree with Ron AND Rand on this issue.

Why won't you folks let Rand

Why won't you folks let Rand play politics?

Let the man lie!

It's either Rand in there or it's Conway! Just looking at Conway makes me sick, but when he opens his mouth it's horrifying!

LIE RAND, LIE!!! LIE YOURSELF ALL THE WAY TO WASHINGTON, SIR!

I agree with the father and not the son.

The common ground of the two men is fiscal policy. That's the political elephant in the room right now.

so either Rand is a liar to

so either Rand is a liar to get elected or he is a neocon to get elected...
don't much care for either one...

"and the truth shall make you free"

Rand is obviously lying about

Rand is obviously lying about his true beliefs to get elected. I hope its worth it!
