Ron Paul’s Shocking Message To The Tea Party

It shouldn't be shocking to anyone who is awake.

Here was Ron Paul’s message to the Tea Party via The New York Times just the other day:

“As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.”

Ron Paul believes the Tea Party is not about “left” or “right” like a lot of political pundits make it out to be. It’s about the constitution, and limited government.

Taxation without representation

Is it enough to simply say "printing money"? I feel like many American's are dismissive of what's happening, because they don't fully understand its implications. "Printing money" is the action, but it does not fully communicate the outcome or the risk.

Calling it an "inflation tax" doesn't do justice to its outcome, because most people think of tax on yearly income. Inflation is a tax on your entire net worth. It's a tax on your entire savings. For those of us that save our money to create a stable environment for our family, that's worse than a yearly tax, because they can selectively come and take it any year. At least a doubling of the tax rate has to go through congress. The fed can take 20% of my svaings without any oversight at all.

When the Fed "prints money out of thin air", they are really taking a portion of dollar in the system and giving it to the banks and Fortune 500 companies in the form of low interest rates.

It is 100% the definition of "taxation without representation" and we need a better way to frame that conversation than simply saying "printing money".

Anyone want to throw in ideas?

IT'S A HIJACKING

Plain and simple.

Sponsored by the republican party.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

odd

First off Ron Paul 2012.

Second off, that article seemed more of a hit piece against Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, as well as the "Restoring Honor" rally. Then after looking at the main site, all I get from it is that sour taste in my mouth. Like im being force fed propaganda for somebody's agenda. Thats why I stopped going to infowars.com, practically several times a day. I just felt like they kept trying to connect dots that were miles apart and not even connected in any shape or form.

The article does not seem to link to the original FP article,

The Doc actually wrote it @ CFR's own rag, Foreign Policy Magazine.

I actually put up a thread earlier here:

Dr. Ron Paul imparts some MUCH needed Wisdom at CFR's own SandBox: "A Tea Party Foreign Policy" http://dailypaul.com/node/143326

The Good Doc pens a really simple, yet elegant (ain't the man always?) sorta olive branch... okay it's really a soft, but stern warning to the neoLiB and neoCON NWO Wall St.Bankster financed sycophants and adherents at Council on Foreign Relations' rag, Foreign Policy Magazine:

The Good Doc wrote the above, in response to THIS article:

As always the Gentleman, the Doc heeds a prudent warning to those whom seek to hijack the TeaParty and OUR grassroots Freedom/Liberty/Patriot/Truth movement, in order to keep it within the confines of the failed, non-existent-in-reality-by-design "Two-Party" false L-R paradigm.

Like, sorry, it cannot, will not be neatly be contained within your agenda. As he puts it: "I am optimistic, and our numbers are increasing!"

A critical mass of awakened souls have a funny way of amassing toward the Truth.

Why is this message shocking

Why is this message shocking from Ron Paul? Hell, I have heard Joe the Plumber say the samething at a Tea Party rally.

There is no Left or Right -- there is only freedom or tyranny. Everything else is an illusion, an obfuscation to keep you confused and silent as the world burns around you." - Philip Brennan

"Invest only in things that you can stand in front of and pr

It all boils down to the choice of freedom or the choice of big

government.

The Constitution was supposed to "...secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity....

Total freedom (anarchy) is at one end of the scale and total subjugation (totalitarianism) is the other. Neither is achievable, but we can more toward one end of the scale or the other. The Republican and Democratic Parties for the most part advocate more and more government and are on the totalitarianism end. There are few in government who advocate freedom and the Constitutional restriction on government power; maybe it is because to run for office, one generally has a fundamental belief in the efficacy of government. Government is a magnet for the power hungry.

I hope that the Tea Party movement is a genuine effort to restore freedom, but I suspect that many in it just are unhappy with the present Democratic regime and think that all it takes is better people to manage government, rather than recognizing that much of government must be eliminated or the problem of crushed freedom will just persist with different nuances.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

Its half and half

Basically, some of them are neocons...who are more freedom oriented. Most of the Tea Party are just libertarian conservatives.

The "Tea Party" will succeed as far as government will get smaller, we'll cut programs, we'll cut military programs, Ron Paul's message will envelop it.

But it's not a fix all solution, tyranny will still persist despite a "Tea Party". We will have to awaken much much more then that, since now we'll be able to identify the evil far more easily.
