So the Republicans may win the Midterm Elections...So What? Who Cares?

"Call me negative, but I don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's just hard for me to get excited about elections anymore. So recent polls are indicating the Republicans are on the path to quite a victory this November...big deal. Unless major party leadership is voted out on BOTH sides, it really doesn't make any difference."

Frustrated in MD!
As a registered Repub in MD I have a choice between 11 candidates for the US Senate and 5 for the House.
I did web searches on all 16 candidates. My conclusion? They all share the same Faux News brain! They only talk about illegal immigrants, abortion and "radical Islam" - good grief!! Not a one of em has an original thought! None are discussing the Fed, the banking cartel, public unions or the military industrial complex.
I can't, in good conscience, vote for any of the lot.
You can vote for me for governor...
In the General election at least.

Also you can vote for Mike Reed, Richard Shawver, and Alain Lareau as we will all be on the ballot in November and are all strict constitutionalist.
The choice is yours, as always.

Victory by the Republicans is
Victory by the Republicans is meaningless as long as the Republican victors are NeoCons. We need to see Constitutionalists elected.
Just unseating traitorous incumbents is a worthwhile gesture. But they will be rewarded for their treachery. Expect to see these former politicians showing us as consultants and lobbyists for the corporations they pimped for. They may get appointments from the Administration. Hopefully, there will be enough new blood in the Congress to block these appointments.
It's the Tea Party candidates that I am watching. Candidates who have no common cause with the criminals who have bought so many of our politicians.
I know seriously, what have
I know seriously, what have the repubs done lately? Grow government! There's no serious talk about diminishing the government.

Vote with your heart and
Vote with your heart and mind. That was the one of many things I learned in the 2008 presidential race. I had to vote for Ron, even as a write in vote that didn't count. I couldn't in good conscience vote for McCain, even though I am a registered Republican.
A term I have been seeing floating around to describe Republicans is now starting to get as much attention as "neo-conservative". We are starting to see "Liberty" Republicans that actually believe what they say running and winning offices. Some may say that they are Libertarians hiding as Republicans... but really who doesn't want more Liberty?
There could even be some Liberty Democrats. To fight back against the progressives.
These are interesting times we are living in.

"I think we are living in a world of lies: lies that don't even know they are lies, because they are the children and grandchildren of lies." ~ Chris Floyd
That's the best line I've ever heard to describe it!!
Perfect. I'm going to be saying this A LOT!!

If it fits....
I never thought of it in the context of partisan politics, but a favorite maxim of mine seems to also have application:
Underwear is for sissies.
Vote 3rd Party
I don't mean GOP.
Try constitution party. Their platform is the original GOP platform which they strayed away from.

It's nice to see that everyone's not retarded
Of course republicans won't make a difference. They'll keep the plan moving forward. People are so so so easily tricked, it's almost funny really.

No,Mike your wrong
they won't keep the plan moving forward. . . . .
they'll change the name of the plan to something else, then keep it moving forward.

True
We lose money and freedom under democrats, we lose freedom and money under republicans. Hipopalorum and Lopopahirum.

The good thing about it
is gridlock.
If they stymie each others' moves, and gridlock the passage of new bills, then it's the best we can hope for at this time.
Unfortunately the Neocon
Unfortunately the Neocon Republicans answer to the same people the Neolib Democrats do, so there will be no meaningful blocking of any legislation important to the New World Order puppet masters.

You got that right, I threw
You got that right, I threw in the towel as well. When the movement got hijacked by the Neocons I knew the battle was over. We all know a Neocon is just as bad as a Liberal, in fact worse in my opinion. I'm at the point where I think the American people deserve whatever horrors are coming to them. It's just too bad that the small minority of us who still have a brain might have to suffer along with them.

Actually, it is a big thing.
The GOP infighting in the House, with Rep. Cantor challenging Rep. Boehner, coupled with repudiation of the House Democratic Leadership, could result in the election of Ron Paul as Speaker. Further, the incredible success of Jim DeMint over Mitch McConnell could result in Senator DeMint being elected Senate Majority Leader. Recall, Senator DeMint cosponsored "Audit the Fed".
I was wondering if we could do anything to help
Ron Paul get elected as Speaker of the House. Maybe a letter writing, faxing and phone calling campaign!
" Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of they day; but a series of oppresssions...pursued unalterably, through every change of ministers, too plainly proove delibrate, systematical plan of reducing us to slavery..."
Tho
The pendulum is swinging
back our way, away from the democrats. Maybe we can give it a little extra push into 2012 and do even better?
I could go on
and on, but I'll just start here:
First-timers are easier to take out than incumbents.
