At 8:38PM EST there are:
44,656 donors today
26,756 new donors today
That is a 17,900 difference
On November 5th there were:
38,905 donors
Subtract the 17,900 difference from today
Where are the 21,005 other donors that donated on the 5th

Was that 38905 unique donors on the 5th? How many people donated multiple times?
I donated on both days, I know my brother donated on the 5th, but I think he may have been locked in a meat locker today or something, he may not have gotten his donation off.
Misleading count?
I wonder how they are determining who are new donors.
Last time I donated I had a different address. So I might have been double counted as a "new donor".
Tapped Out
The old hands are just plainly tapped out/maxed out. However, with all of this money, Dr. Paul should be able to multiply supporters into many thousands. This is a bit like a pyramid. Now the stage is set to get Dr. Paul's message out; people will either accept it or reject it. However, and this is most important, they will NEVER be able to say they did not hear and that they did not have a choice. Without Nov. 5th and without today, the message would've been stifled. Now . . . if anyone rejects the message of freedom, whatever wicked this way comes - and it IS coming quickly - will be their own fault.

Today is Sunday, the first day of this week.
I'm sure a lot of people forgot - Sunday
One thing I did when I created my tea party site (www.TeaPartyMoneyBomb.com - a site I made because I didn't think TeaParty07 was interesting or inspirational enough) was to make it clear right at the top of the page that it was going to be on a "Sunday" in order to trigger people's memorywhen Sunday came up. Simple things like that are neglected can make a significant difference.
I doubt anybody who donated
I doubt anybody who donated on the 5th is not aware of the teaparty. Lots of people maxed out on the 5th... both me and my wife did. I talked my dad into donating today but he couldn't afford to max out.
All in all, I think today is a good showing. It's going to be nearly double the number of pledges which is similar to the results of rudysreadinglist.

It is not all that big of a deal. We already passed what we wanted and if the current trend holds, we should break 6 million today. I would have liked to have more, but will take what we got.
Or goal at this point should be to try to get to the 20 million mark by December 31st.
BTW, last night Rudy Giuliani made a donation, so I am willing to bet there will be some fake donations made today. Hopefully they were not done at the max donation. [I heard about it on the revolution radio station.]
Another explanation, a bunch of those people are maxed out now and can't donate again.

The donation form has separate fields for your name, and name as printed on card. So I'm guessing for the first field you could enter any name you want and it would show that.

Many of these pledges were fake from other campaigns..fred thompson was pissed at us for screwing with his pledges so he more than likely got even..he's going to be even more pissed when we fly the blimp over his house..beware of trolls

They've gotten 2 emails from the campaign
so they either are offline for the weekend or have chosen not to donate. Not everyone is a serial contributer. For some, that one contribution might be the most they've ever gotten involved in a campaign.
Some were waiting to see if we needed it
I talked to several people that told me they would watch in the evening to see if the effort truly needed help. I suspect that the 6 Mil figure will cause some to help out inside the last hour or so - and some will probably decide we don't need the help.
