Will space mission to Phobos "change everything?"

Phobos, the smaller and innermost moon of Mars, has long been considered an anomaly because of its low mass-to-volume ratio, leading many to wonder if it could be hollow. Others have gone further, suggesting it is an ancient and substantially battered artificial structure some 15 miles in diameter, perhaps even a huge armored spaceship millions of years old.

There have been several fly-bys of Phobos yielding impressive detailed images that show strange grooves or fractures in its surface. In places these lines cross each other to form evenly spaced grid markings. Also seen is a 250-ft. straight-sided, flat-topped "obelisk."

A Russian unmanned mission is on its way to Phobos with the stated purpose of retrieving "soil" from its surface and bringing it back for study. Although much farther away than Earth's moon the mission will be easier than a soft lunar landing because the "gravity well" of Phobos is negligible.

Russia's president is reportedly quite excited about the implications of the Phobos mission and foresees a possible multinational manned Phobos mission in the offing, pending results of the unmanned mission.

Space exploration has long been hoped by many to become a positive, unifying factor for humanity, allowing us to set aside our "petty differences" and join hands in the grand adventure. As such, there are global government implications in any great advances into space that might be brought on by discovery of ancient alien civilization remains on Phobos. Sensational findings, whether falsified or real, could be used as an impetus for global unification by the NWO elites. The ETA for the Russian craft is... 2012.

Richard Hoagland, formerly employed in some capacity by NASA, has held sway on many phenomena associated with space but he has always impressed me as one who has thrown caution to the winds in his interpretation of images, rumors, news snippets, etc. He reminds me of some that I associated with in the past who could see Bigfoot tracks in a squirrel scratch, yet I never dismiss him until he's proven wrong. Regardless, here is his speculation of the Phobos topic, along with a bunch of impressive images:

Buddha said Phobos was an artificial satellite

I would not expect the NAZI-controlled NASA or European Space Agency to tell you anything. However, since the space probe was Russian, you might want to check the Russian media or YouTube. Check out this http://beforeitsnews.com/space/2012/12/space-agency-phobos-i...

BTW, the much more impressive artificial satellite is Iapetus. Check out this http://www.enterprisemission.com/moon1.htm

This thread is over a year old

Have there been any updates on the Phobus mission since then? Any new articles or info or pics?

EDIT: I just found this, however its just about the same information already present.

1994 interview w/ alleged contactee saying Phobos is artificial

Alex Collier also said our moon is artificial in this 1994 interview. I first thought it must be a fake recent interview after the NASA info was released, and made to look old, but I found this recent video of Alex Collier who appears much much older. He goofs around the first three minutes during the 2009 interview while getting a drink and settling in, but after the 3 minute point, he talks about things which might be of interest to Ron Paul supporters.

came across some fascinating info

about our moon. I don't know if it's true or not but I thought I'd pass it on to anyone interested. Relates to this thread, or at least compliments it.

Earth's Moon and Human Evolution
Dr. N Huntley, Ph.D.

It has been established beyond all reasonable doubt that the Moon is not what it appears; that it is not just another satellite orbiting a planet, Earth, but an entity which has thrown the minds of some of the greatest thinkers and scientific brains into a quandary and bewilderment unprecedented in the history of astronomy...

The Moon Rang Like A Bell -Popular Science (Mar 1970)

The four pages in Popular Science Mar 1970 (p56, p57, p58 and p150) talking about how the moon rang like a bell for nearly an hour.

Penetration - The Moon Remotely Viewed by Ingo Swann.

This is an out-of-print book that I hear goes for hundreds of dollars on Ebay. Try searching it with "pdf" added. Excerpt from a (Wikipedia) bio on Ingo Swann:

Swann helped develop the process of remote viewing at the Stanford Research Institute in experiments that caught the attention of the Central Intelligence Agency. He is commonly credited with proposing the idea of Coordinate Remote Viewing, a process in which viewers would view a location given nothing but its geographical coordinates, which was developed and tested by Puthoff and Targ with CIA funding...

And finally there's a book i mentioned on another thread but I gave the wrong title. It's this book:

I can imagine people laughing at this info but consider this. We have been fooled over and over again because our perception of what is possible has been kept narrow (through education, media, accepted truths). So we couldn't believe governments would commit inside jobs. Or that the monetary system is a fraud. That we could be poisoned from vaccines, medications, the water supply, or from the sky. So now that we have discovered these things, can we really go back to the security of thinking we know all that is to know?

as an aside..

That second link sends you to an old 1970 Popular Mechanic magazine and it's well worth checking out.

explain how you interpret the quote "rang like a bell"

What does it mean to you?  Why does it interest you so?

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

    Spaceship, monolith?

no.....it's a rock. A barren rock. Space Keynesianism? Rocket to mars fueled by a printing press.

"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com

While Phobos is certainly interesting on it's own

Where in the world would you get the idea it's an artificial satellite or other manmade/alienmade object? Please. Basic science still applies.

"Basic Scientists" are a bunch of liars.

READ Hoagland's evidence. Hoagland showed Mars Tidal models A DECADE before NASA admitted them. Read "Moon With a View" about an artificial satellite orbiting around Saturn. Hoagland reported "solar system climate change" five years before NASA.

Watching a recent Science Channel program, "Mars Rising," I see that our idiot government is still tinkering with chemical rockets for Mars. One group of scientists, at least, were experimenting while "nuclear pulse" engines, that STILL exhaust fuel for thrust. This technique was originally proposed to the public in the first "modern" science fiction films, DESTINATION MOON and WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE 60 years ago(!) Even nuclear propulsion of this sort provides only a puny 2:1 advantage above conventional fuels. I contacted Science Channel and asked, "Why aren't NASA scientists going ahead full steam with "inpulse engines," which use nuclear power to generate electromagnetic or electrostatic force, and are capable of propelling a vehicle to Mars in days, or even hours?"
After all this proposed technology was introduced to the public almost 45 years ago in STAR TREK.

I'll tell you why. The longer it takes for them to develop real solutions, they longer they spend OUR money.

It's time to "clean house" at NASA and among our scientific community.

I said "basic science", not "basic scientists"

...and then you launch into an anti-NASA tirade... Are you kidding me? Can you read? What's the minute-by-minute narrative like in a brain like that?

"Basic scientists" worship at the "basic science" altar.

Anything that does not fit conveniently in their box of preconceived ideas is thrown away.

Clean House, NASA! 20 Mule Team - Borax Clean.

    Excellent reply. Excellent suggestion.

Clean out completely. Empty building would be far safer. Far less wasteful.

Save Time & Money. NASA Goes w/ Stanley Kubrick Apollo Films

So, you want to travel? Great, please do. Your silver dime, please!

For my silver dime, my friend & I go see what others imagine on the Silver Screen. Yes, sir 'ey. Apollo sent several men to the moon w/ Kubrick's film crew. Filmed the whole lunar voyage. Then He mistakenly allowed the story to be told by lunatics.

Realizing his folly, he saved NASA payoffs.

    "Space Odyssey, 2001"

1968, He took us beyond the moon:

Filming & editing much better. The script matches the film much better. Same film crew... Just got NASA out of the way. Filmed, scripted & edited on their own.

Used the funds you paid NASA... to pay Kubrick.

1969, Apollo finally, cut & spliced their way to the moon. Anti-climatic. Cost us $5 B to keep the Russians quiet.

All was not lost. We did get film coverage of the "USS Kittyhawk" at sea. That reminded me of another aeronautical adventure with the Wright Brothers & their kite. I admire them.

Please search: "DailyPaul" & "NASA" & "Kubrick"

Many are saying that an annoucement is coming that....

we are not alone in the universe.

Is Phobos the smoking gun of extra-terrestrial life?

This is exciting. Thanks for the story.

    Kinda cool to look at

So many right angle lines all over it. Many lines stop and turn with perfect ninety degree angles.

Earth and Moon Square the Circle

everyone seems to forget this.  All the disinfo pushers and hoaxers who have literally for decades never provided a single atom of evidence, (instead always hearsay) never bring this up.  They probably never looked.

This is the most amazing mystery for a million miles.  We don't need to fly away to study it.

Even if any of these guys were ever contacted by an external intelligence, if they don't say "And hey, did you notice your moon and the planet you live on encode the most fundamental constant in the universe to 1/10,000th of an error in a very unique way?  We've traveled across many galaxies, and that truly is a rarity!" I'm going to be skeptical.

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

      It does appear unnatural

but what exactly is it telling us? Did God do this so we would marvel at it? Did space aliens find a moon of just the right size to place in Earth orbit as a way of communicating over the eons that we are not alone? Is it supposed to serve as a cosmic come-hither?

Only if future lunar visits find identifiable gadgets left by space aliens, or find the aliens themselves, will the Moon/Earth "squaring of the circle" be more than an oddity.

One could point to the sudden explosion of Homo sapiens onto the scene, as well as the sudden emergence of an advanced civilization in Mesopotamia, as unnatural events and evidence of off-world influences. Yet until we unearth an ancient spaceship or ray gun there will be only trifling speculation. (This assumes that various governments have not secretly attained such proof and beyond.)

      New Hampshire and Ecuador.

The earth is not a perfect sphere.

Soooo... yeah. All that squaring the circle stuff kind of falls apart.

      The AVERAGE radius

of Earth and Moon get you even closer to "squaring the circle."

      New Hampshire and Ecuador.

The earth could have an hourglass shape and still have an average radius that squares the circle. The average radius does not matter.

It's not a sphere. You can't inscribe it within a square.

      Joη's picture

      let's defer to an astrophysicist

The magnitude of Earth's topological variance is the same as its radial variance.

To say the Earth is not a sphere is nearly to say spheres do not exist, which is only true to the extent it is a theoretical construct instead of a real thing.

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

      Joη's picture

      not quite

Polar radii yield .01%.  Average radii (which are commonly assumed in conversation) come to .03%.

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

        I stand corrected.

        New Hampshire and Ecuador.

        Joη's picture

        we already addressed this
