Ron Paul has issued a sobering warning to us all.

This is something I had to listen to again now that I am watching the dollar fall.

Hold on tight! It's going to get ugly.

This is time capsule material, indeed!

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

It was part of

his speech in response to the State of the Union address I think...What does it matter though? This is totally applicable to the current state of affairs.

I see it like a bible verse...

Spread this one around

The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

Ron Paul sounds so presidential here.

He clearly is full of wisdom and concern for the American people.

This should be put in a time capsule

So when visiting aliens in the future come to our ravaged world, they will have some evidence we were not totally devoid of intelligence--Though they will be puzzled why no one took seriously Dr. Paul's warning and followed up on his recommendations.

Its easy too take Dr. Paul's repeated message for granted, but its still refreshing no matter how many times he says it. What guts it must take to be a member of government, and to speak so candidly?

Just beautiful!

Loved every word of it.

always loved that Adams quote...

you raise an interesting point though - it took a lot longer for the ideas to permeate through the colonial world than it would today. the internet changed everything... it will take much less time for "the revolution" to gain momentum.

its up to us to make spread these ideas through creative/entertaining avenues. we must remember who our target audience is... a largely ignorant/misinformed American public conditioned to the perversion of law and an inflationary monetary policy.

When did he post this?

Was this something he spoke recently? I need to know the specifics before I can pass it on. It sure is depressing.

It was part of his response to the state of the union

It just seems appropriate considering the dollar index

Best post I've read in some time.

Well done. Based on your post, I think you may have read this quote as well...

"What do we mean by the Revolution? The war? That was no part of the revolution; it was only an effect and consequence of it. The revolution was in the minds of the people, and this was effected from 1760 - 1775, in the course of fifteen years, before a drop of blood was shed at Lexington." - John Adams

Imagine how fast they could have done this with the internet. ;-)

"Do you want to know who you are? Act. Don't ask. What you DO will delineate and define you." - Thomas Jefferson

Ron Paul at his best

He says it ALL in this excellent presentation. No holds barred. Obviously he thinks we are getting close to the zero hour. I admire this man so much I can hardly stand it!

I thought I remembered seeing this before--

but I can't be sure.

Good words, though.

I hope everyone is 'putting by'.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

It was from earlier this

It was from earlier this year. I didn't see it that time around. But wow, very good. Everytime he releases a video, it is one more piece of history he can use in 2012.

Many battered women believe they can change their brutal

husbands. This of course is delusional thinking as evidence repeatedly shows.

It is equally delusional to think that we can change government just by sending different people to fill the seats of power. This is contrary to experience, and ignores the nature of government, politicians, bureaucrats, and those who pull their strings.

The world is full of sociopaths, people with weak or no conscience, and it is for the most part they who seek political power. And even those with good intentions are more prone to enact new laws than to repeal old ones. Hence laws accumulate and we march closer and closer to totalitarianism, complete subjugation.

Ron Paul is a major exception in Washington, DC and is truly a decent man, but in my view he suffers the same delusion that battered women suffer, and that delusion is shared by those of you who think that we are going to restore freedom at the voting booths.

The real value of Ron Paul is the influence he has on what people think, and there is a paradigm shift under way now, similar to that which occurred in the 15 years leading up to the 1775 American Revolutionary War. I expect the same eventual result this time as more and more people realize that the political arrangements we now have are highly detrimental to the lives of the majority. The current fascist system is nothing more than plunder and control in favor of the few at the expense of the many.

We should be advocating the dissolution of the federal government, not begging, wishing, or working to change it, all futile efforts.

Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.

I agree, but...

Ron is not deluded. He agrees with you, but the battle he is fighting and winning is to spread the truth. And he is winning!!

He also believes in Nullification by the States, which essentially means it's a lost cause in Congress or anywhere on Capital Hill.

No, he's not deluded. But a wise grandfather who's the sage leader of the Revolution.

Is indeed scary..but I loved the speech. No "uhs" for once..very clear..

An analogy

A long running internet rumor has it that Mr. Rogers (if you're not over 40 you may have never seen his show, look it up) was a Navy SEAL with a bunch of kills in 'Nam or Korea, and that his arms were covered in tatoos, hence the long sleeved cardigans he used to wear every day.

That story is bunk. But I mention it because I often get told "Ron Paul can never be president! He reminds me of Mr. Rogers!"

Well first of all, Dr. Paul did serve in the military, for five years. He wasn't a SEAL, but you can bet he was at the top of his class when it came to not only the mental tests, but the physical ones too. Sheesh, the guy was a track star when he was younger and he also played baseball. He still rides his bike almost every day and he has a metabolism that many people half his age could only hope for (or sadly, have hampered with poor lifestyles and diet).

In fact, one of my favorite Dr. Paul stories is from one of the Gulf Coast tea parties (before they were co-opted by corporations and neo-cons) back in the winter of '07 (Houston perhaps?). The story goes that they used big metal drums as props to simulate tossing tea into the harbor, and that Dr. Paul easily tossed them overhead into the water to roaring applause.

So while he's not a former Navy SEAL sniper, he's no pushover.

Which leads me back to Mr. Rogers. When I was a kid, I would never admit to any of my friends (nor they to me), that I was a Mr. Rogers fan. His shows were all sticky sweet lessons about goodness, being kind to others, always telling the truth, and radical ideas like that. And yet, unless there was a really killer episode of Fractured Fairy Tales or Road Runner on, I could very easily get sucked into a Mr. Rogers episode - as long as there was nobody around to catch me watching it...

Somehow as things get tighter and tighter in this country, I think there are more and more people having regular "Mr. Rogers moments".

Mr. Rogers moments--

I pre-date Mr. Rogers, but I liked him when my children were young.

There did seem to be a different reality then. And yet, there were still killing fields.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

A principled winning agenda

1) The Laboratory of the States Platform to take Congress in the next election cycle.
2) Restoration of Constitutional government by implementing the Laboratory of the States platform.
3) Rehabilitation of territorial secession as the foundation of all other human rights.
4) At least one State (perhaps no longer under the Federal Government if secession is required) adopting the Contract Between Americans to test out its premises.
5) Reestablishment of the Federation on the basis of dividend-supported market allocation of territory to sovereign individuals who choose to live in the same territory, under the Contract Between Americans entered into by mutual consent.

If you read nothing else, read this: A Contract Between Americans

Yes Ron, thats why we must fund & build an Independent Party

Stop and think about it, for the first time in American history, the public supports the Independent Party at 25% while supporting the dems and republicans at 30% each.

What is amazing, the Independent Party does not (yet) exist. It would be wise for the R3VOLution to take on this project now. The two parties will be well hated when the dollar crashes later and there is blood on the streets.
