Ron Paul on Colbert - Raw Milk

Ron Paul on the Colbert Report 10/06/10 from joe safety on Vimeo.
Did anyone just see Ron Paul on Colbert discussing raw milk? Man, they made him look like a whacko. I usually give Colbert a pass on stuff, but I'm mad.

Pasturization without representation
This was the best line in the clip and of course it came from Ron Paul. I am disappointed in Steven Colbert's report. I believe that he is making fun of the style of reporting and not necessarily the issue discussed, however he took a real jab at liberty and I wish he would have used another point of view.

to slam Ron Paul.
I said it back in 2008-9 that we should not be part of the Hijacked Tea Party.
RP looked like an idiot the way they spliced this together and Colbert was in his camp in 2008.
The best way to argue against Raw Milk is to state how many cases of Pasteurized Milk vs Raw Milk resulted in injury. Both in real and nominal terms.
I think you would find the numbers are equal or that the Raw milk is less.
I've drank Raw Milk since '86.
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
Puss, antibiotics and dead bacteria ...
That's what's in homogenized and pasteurized (dead) milk from the supermarkets.
Organic milk from dairy cows contain enzymes and nutrients ... just the way God meant it to be.
I don't think Colbert is funny. I think he basically works for the guys who carried the guns.
Question,
Is selling raw milk illegal? I did not know that. I lease some farm land to a organic farm that sells raw milk and also unpasturized cheese. I know they have the FDA inspections and pass regulations.
Raw Milk
If anyone really cares to get the truth about raw milk and its many benefits and not just a severely edited blurb from Comedy Central, the best place to read articles and look at studies is http://www.westonaprice.org/ This is the website of the Weston A Price Foundation which is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated nonindustrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimum characteristics of human diets.

I never like it when people make light of what Ron says
Because he is dead right. It is funny, but it really does violate the rights of people to drink milk if they want to take the risk they'll be the one out of several hundred thousand to get sick.
Unfortunately, as food becomes more removed from its origins and a greater percentage of the population is city raised, they may get away with regulations of this sort more and more.
Personally, I only remember drinking raw milk once, at a state fair where the blue ribbon cow had been milked because they have to be milked, and the guy who did it offered me some. (I was a little kid.) Had I been alone (too young) I'd have turned it down but I was delighted when my grandfather who'd grown up on a farm encouraged me to try it: "It's the blue ribbon cow!! She's not sick!!"
And, honestly, it is almost a different food from what you get in the stores. I'd drink milk all the time if it was like THAT.
I liked it... .it poked fun at both sides... cool
It poked fun at the FDA being idiots and it poked fun at the idiot raw milk drinkers...
Carry on Colbert...

That's some good Blow Back!
Good thing they got this on video. The evil enviro / anti cow forces are now getting exposed because they are just going waaaay to far with they're blow up children ads and gun toten milk police. There comes a time when the cops just gotta tell their commanders:

Yes! And the few who still go along with it are going to have to face up to the majority who don't.

I love all of those things!!
-Colbert, Raw Milk, Ron Paul, And Comedy (not in any order)
What I also loved is that this brings attention to the raid that happened and the raw vs.pasteurized debate.
Didn't any of you complainers see the that the clips of the raid video Colbert showed had the words "seriously google it" on it???

Check out this Stewart clip though
I agree with you guys that the fact that Liberals thinking watching Stewart and Colbert is how they should get the news is a joke.
That said, you have to watch this feature from the Jon Stewart Show that goes after unions. Its so funny and spot on.

that one was pretty funny bout the unions.
