Amy Goodman claims that Ron Paul didn't want an interview.

I was at an Amy Goodman, of Democracy Now, speech. She was asked why she went along with the media blackout on Ron Paul in the 08 campaign run. She said that the Ron Paul campaign didn't grant an interview to her during the 2008 campaign, but that her staff tried over and over again to line him up for a segment. Does anybody know if that's true?

I was just reading today that Amy Goodman is a "Gatekeeper"

FUNNY I was just reading a comment on PROJECT CENSORED today that Amy Goodman is a "Gatekeeper"...same as what someone below pointed out. I don't doubt that Ron Paul's campaign staff might have flubbed setting up the interview. They might not have been aware of DEMOCRACY NOW.

Don't know what happened but

Ron Paul's Presidential Campaign Staff was not professional enough to lead him to Victory.

That was my observation in NH.

I have a very hard time

I have a very hard time believing that Ron Paul's Staff wouldn't grant an interview to her.

Here's the info on Amy & DN:

Check out the chart at the bottom.

Amy Goodman is a sham. She is no friend of Liberty.

Ron Paul is My President

Thanks Sunny

Amy Goodman, bless her heart,

Amy Goodman, bless her heart, has become an effective left-gatekeeper. She did some pretty good journalism earlier in her career, but I can't stand listening her any more. If RP was a guest on her show, I'm sure that she and Juan Gonzalez would team up and attempt to paint him as some kind of a racist. That's exactly what they did to Lou Dobbs a few years ago. I believe that Amy is controlled in some way becasue she is terrified of talking about 9/11 outside of the official version. The way I understand it, she was very near the scene right before Building 7 came down, but will not speak of it.

It is odd that she doesn't

It is odd that she doesn't even mention 9/11 options and is right in the middle of all 9/11 truth protests. She said her building is a few blocks from ground zero.

here's video of her watching WTC7 fall

Regarding 9/11, I get the feeling that somebody somewhere got to her and threatened, blackmailed or otherwise put a lot of fear into her. She was also involved in the brouhaha in St. Paul during the RNC, where law enforcement people raided the house that she was staying at in search of "protesters". I try not to be too hard on her, but I refuse to listen to her program any more because I no longer find her to be credible.

That sounds about right. It

That sounds about right. It seems like she's being muted by someone or something. Thus, her show is another potential source of information that needs to be filtered for agendas and motives. Have you found a credible source/organization that hasn't been bought off? Ron Paul, Jack Hunter, Tom Woods, and Judge Napolitano are about the only ones I've found so far.

Propaganda. She hardly

Propaganda. She hardly mentioned Ron's name during the last election.

She mentioned him twice in

She mentioned him twice in 2007. Both times were one line comments. They were July 20th and December 18th.

I find this very difficult

to believe. I pay quite close attention to Democracy Now because it is generally speaking much better than the MM. I'm quite sure they failed to mention Ron Paul even once during the 2008 campaign as a way of maintaing the illusion that only "left wing" democrats can be anti-war.

Anyone promoting democracy, doesn't want liberty.

Or they are confused.

But someone running a show specifically named Democracy Now is certainly not interested in restoring our liberty or sovereignty.

I have appreciated Amy Goodman--

(and I'm not a progressive)--

but I have a hunch she is 'owned'.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I found this link from 2008 about Amy Goodman

Amy Goodman (Democracy Now) censors Ron Paul's name
media.switchpod.com — I used to be a huge Amy supporter. That was before I became a Ron Paul supporter, and she became a Ron Paul media blackout participant. She rarely if ever mentions Dr. Paul's name when speaking of candidates. Here during an interview with John Edward's campaign manager, notice how she cuts him off around minute 43:40 when he...

Yeah, I've heard that clip

Yeah, I've heard that clip before when I was doing research. It seems strange to me that the RP staff would have turned down interviews in 07.

Pretty clear evidence. She Cut Off After Ron Paul Mention.

Amy Goodman cut off the speaker @ 43:40. She interrupted after the answer to Amy's question about other candidates was: "Ron Paul." She obviously sought no Ron Paul specifics. She whipped back to a senseless Ralph Nader question. Then within seconds, the interview ended.

My sentiments remain as stated moments ago. Sad as her behavior is, she is better than average. Not a compliment, just less bad.

If you track it down, "She said?" Perhaps, "She was told..."

Amy Goodman is well connected & many respect her. I am neutral. From my exposure to such matters, she was likely told something that allowed her to conclude her response was appropriate. I do not accuse her of lying any more than her peers. She is perhaps worse at lying & better than most at allowing the truth to slip out.

Probably no one on this forum knows

if/why Ron wouldn't appear on Democracy Now. It is uncharacteristic of him today, he seems to go everywhere.
