Jack Cafferty's first question today is:
If Ron Paul can raise more 6 million in one day, why isn't he higher in the polls?

Jack,
I could rant about the unfairness of the polls, and I could make a solid case by doing so, but perhaps a better answer to your question lies in the dismissive treatment he receives from all the mainstream organizations, including yours, where his introduction to viewers is regularly prefaced with a remark meant to belittle, such as "fringe" or "longshot", and his interviews are regularly concluded with the equally dismissive "Will you support the eventual nominee of your party?"
Considering Ron Paul's passionate support, the appalling lack thereof from any other Republican candidate, and the expected low turnout at the primaries, perhaps the better question is "Will the other candidates support Ron Paul as the eventual nominee?"

No offense Mr. Cafferty as you have been quite fair, but what the Ron Paul supporters are demonstrating more and more each week is the insignificance and journalistic retardation of the big coorporate media machines. While CNN has been more hospitable than the other networks, all we hear from your anchors are terms such as: "longshot" and "darkhorse" and "fringe". The Ron Paul Revolution has learned quickly what the news media has become, shills and paid campaigners for the prechosen frontrunners of a year ago, and more people are waking up by the day. I think that is what the false and corrupted polls show us.

Someone please video and post this Cafferty file.
I will be at work but really want to see this segment. Mr. Cafferty has been one of the few media that has understood and helped promote Dr. Paul. He is fair minded, honest and has a great respect for America. Let's be sure to thank him for asking these questions.
I had it on at work and then someone called
did they already give an answer for why he can raise money, but is nowhere in the polls?
He hasn't read the comments yet
He did a lead-in on it and said he received 700-800 responses. He says he is flooded with e-mail every time he mentions Ron Paul and that he does not get that kind of response from supporters of any other candidates.
Right now The Situation Room is giving lengthly air time to McCain & Lieberman.

my inadequate response sent:
There is a disconnect between these polls and the people, and there needs to be an investigation into how polls are taken and how results are manipulated. Ron Paul is the only candidate with impassioned support from real people in the real world as far as I can tell, so that makes me wonder about the veracity of these polls.
I fibbed a little - I KNOW THE POLLS ARE BOGUS, and I know what's really happening!
It's great to see Cafferty asking the question!
Find Polls for Cafferty
Post any polls you can find that do not include RP and I will take screen shots and post them to Cafferty ....
Straw Polls?
Why not just look at the polls where you actually have to get out and vote? Seems to me they would be more representative of a "likely voter" than any of the phone polls.
Metion the ...
Zogby "Blind Poll", which RP won hands down looking at the largest sample numbers.

Jack,
Your question about Ron Paul raises another question. At this time, there have been 139 comments to your Ron Paul question, yet only 7 comments on the McCain question and only 13 on the CIA Tapes question.
Why do you think it is that 87% of the total comments to these three questions are being made by people who are interested in and taking the time to respond to the Ron Paul question?
BTW, there are now 176 responses to the Ron Paul question, 13 on McCain and 14 on the CIA tapes.
no, i dont expect it to air....lol
on the McCain question:
The endorsements will prove to be irrelevant except for creating a little distracting news buzz. Yesterday, about 60,000 Americans donated over 6 million dollars to presidential candidate Ron Paul, that is an astounding endorsement that should be taken very seriously.
True!
How about we answer his other questions as well?! I am going to RIGHT NOW!

Here's my response to Jack,
Jack,
This is an easy question to answer, and I actually have three reasons why Ron Paul isn't higher in the polls but is making so much money..
1) A lot of these polling companies are calling Republican over 35 who voted for Bush the last 2 elections. These are usually pro Iraq pro-nation building people who are looking for a Bush 2.0 which Dr. Paul isn't
2) His names not even listed on the polls, I can't tell you how many times I see option for for "other" or he's omitted all together
3) There are still many people who do not actually know who Ron Paul is, or his actual stance on issues and many who have heard of him only know him as "that guy who doesn't stand a chance" and this is without even listening to or hearing the man speak...

It is funny that you ask?
Every poll I take amongst my constituents has Ron Paul winning by a landslide.
Maybe we should take a closer look at who is taking or should I say creating these polls.
We are counting on you to get to the bottom of this...
Already did!
This is what I wrote (it's a bit generic, but still, one more drop to the wave):
"Jack, those polls do not reflect the reality of the campaign. By being solely on those Republicans who voted in the last primary (which was a relatively small group of people), the polls do not account the huge amount of people signing up as Republicans to vote for Ron, nor the independents that will undoubtedly make a difference in the results. Ron has won the most straw polls, plus well over 200,000 people have donated to the campaign in this quarter. Those are the true indicators of his support, not the landline polls."
BTW, guys, please have the TiVO's ready!
Collectivism is slavery.
Cafferty Comment
That's a very good question, Jack. Why indeed? We have a paradox. I choose to believe what I can see with my own eyes rather than polling methods financed by special interests. Ron Paul has broken fundraising records, wins countless straw & online polls, has the most creative and active supporters, and even has his own blimp! With broad support of "unlikely" Republican voters his impact on this race will not be measured until the elections.
Someone please post on YouTube
This should be a good discussion by Jack, and I will be at work when it is on. Can someone post on YouTube afterwards?

Thanks for the heads up! I sent my comment in and can't wait to watch Jack. I can't stand Wolf Blitzer and have to watch the Situation Room (I'd rather chew on broken glass) just to watch Jack. Talk about fair and balanced, Jack Cafferty should have his own show.

My response
Jack, the key phrase in all of these polls is "likely Republican voters." If you sat out, as I did, the last several elections then your voice is not heard. Also, if you come from any other party or non-party affiliation, your voice is not heard. Point being, unless you are part of the "polling elite," then I guess your voice means nothing--that is, until the upcoming primary election days. Don't worry, we'll be heard then!
My reply to Cafferty
It is hard to place high in polls where your name isn't even mentioned in. Or if it is and you choose Ron Paul you are asked embarrassing questions about what sexual position you prefer. And should you hang up without answering, your vote doesn't get counted. Frank Luntz and his ilk are having a field day keeping the Paul movement down in the polls, but we are cleaning up in online polls, after debate polls, and more official GOP straw polls than all the other GOP candidates combined. Don't worry, when we clean up in the primaries, the pollsters are going to be shocked and Frank will be looking for a new job.

Here's One That Caught My Eye
Hello Mr. Cafferty,
being a German citizen, I have the strong impression that
the Media pretty much ignores Ron Paul and the successes
he and the Grassroots achieve. His name is not out there on
a level that other candidates WITHOUT any significant Grass-
roots have.
So let me thank you for your fair coverage about Ron Paul, it’s
a very delighting experience to see that some parts of the US-
Media care about the People rather than the editing room Memos,
thank you very much for that.
Sincerely,
Oliver Reis, Germany

My answer...make it yours...if you like.
Ask Cafferty, why does the media only poll "likely Republican voters" which really means those Republicans who voted for Busy twice. What about polling all of us who never voted for Bush? We are in Ron Paul's camp...and there are more Republicans who did not vote for Bush, than voted for him.

You Asked - We Responded
So far, there are 121 comments regarding the Ron Paul question, 7 comments on the McCain endorsements and 11 on the CIA tapes.
The Old Media had better start paying attention.
Everyone ask this one if you like.
Ask Ron Paul....... "As President, the one thing you could do is bring the troops home, return our military to defend this country, and push congress to accept the rest of your vision. My question goes to oil. Would the price of oil go down? What would the economy look like?"
This is a "soft ball" and it gets the public to thinking...
