They're never going to give Ron the nomination unless....

we can threaten the RP NOW and say if we don't get it, we'll cost them the election! (and to them, it won't matter, because RP winning is still them losing)

I like the idea of a prearranged media package for each of the meetups huge national events. (See previous post.)
Perhaps the meetups could have more huge coordinated events (like the tea parties across country), and someone with experience in press releases could put together a one-size-fits-all press release (to be edited by the local meetup group to fit their purpose).

Of course they aren't and the Ron Paul grassroots supporters need to reflect that reality.
In 1974 Richard Gardner wrote a piece for the "Insiders" in their official publication Foreign Afffairs in which he suggested eroding the power of the middle class via a circuitous attack rather than a "frontal assault" on our sovereignty.
Writing in the April 1974 issue of the influential Council on Foreign Relations journal Foreign Affairs, Professor Richard Gardner (CFR), a onetime Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, contended that "the 'house of world order' will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down," and that "an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault." He described as "hopeful" the prospect that "even as nations resist appeals for 'world government' and 'the surrender of sovereignty,' technological, economic and political interests are forcing them to establish more and more far-reaching arrangements to manage their mutual interdependence."

Ron Paul supporters have to also avoid the frontal assault and work at the local level to garner support and establish relations with local media. The amazing accomplishment of the over $6Million fundraiser should've made national headlines. We're fighting an entrenched Insider element that control the national news but don't control the local media.

We need to educate the voters locally and cultivate the media locally. In much the same way that Gardner spoke of but in our case we're making an "end run" around the national censorship of Ron Paul and reaching the local media with Press releases and professional video stories that we can feed to the locals. If every Meetup group had a prearranged "media package" on the Boston Tea Party ready to deliver to the local press thousands of local channels and local dailys might have carried the story.

Once our presence is felt locally the Republican Convention will be easier to crack wide open and the nomination will be Ron's!

Let's pray to St. Paul for Ron Paul! St. Paul got knocked off his horse and was totally converted -- maybe the rest of the Republicans could get knocked off their figurative horses, and be totally converted to the ideas of freedom.

spoke to lady in charge of RP campaign. She indicated that they had enough delegates but need volunteers for petition circulation.

Thought that kind of odd since OHIO exempts candidates from needing petition signitures if they qualify for matching funds. Assuming they are running as a republican.

Makes me think they might be gearing up for a third party run

I am scheduling our meetup now and will send it out on the wires as well as create a youtube video promoting it tonight. Just so I can get an idea how interested people would be in this, please send a comment to this so i can get a decent idea of what kind of support this idea would get. Then I can know how much time and resources I should devote to planning this massive project.
