Remember MLK day folks Jan 21.
We can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. MLK will help nip the racist charges in the bud and will raise money for the Ron Paul Campaign. Folks lets make this HUGE! freeatlast2008.com
MLK's speechs sound like something Ron Paul would say.
Deep down everyone is Libertarian.
Live and Let Live, form of government.
Let the new converts ....
Get to experience the thrill of a moneybomp. Staying glued to the screen all day. Reading dailypaul. Tracking the bomb. It is an experience that motivates people to do more.
I say heck yeh to the Paine money bomb.
No paine no gain.
WAHOR!!

Just donate
As much as I love Thomas Paine and as impressed as I have seen people over the fund raising enough with the money bombs. Obviously the media is worn out on it. So just donate what you can when you can until the end of the year. Let's focus on becoming delegates, getting organized in your local GOP, knocking on doors etc. RP has enough money now and more will roll in without these gimmick dates. Hopefully he will spend in on PR people to liaison with the press and get more attention at his press conferences and speeches. JMHO
Think of the Newbies
They may want to participate in a money bomb. I still think it is a great idea.

Newbie ta da Bombs!!!
I plan on taken part in the MLK bomb...we generate as much coverage as the other BOMBS, there will be other Newbies that would be into the NO PAINE no GAIN that might follow.
enough with the money bombs. Lets use some imagination & action
A million man march on Washington DC.
A million DVDs distributed.
A million automobiles with LARGE Ron Paul Signs.
Ultimately, and ideally, begin sweeping primaries with a goal to sweeping the nomination and then the election.
This business of donating money as money is getting both boring and, ultimately, pointless if it doesn't translate into rank and file citizens taking action with their feet and their votes.
I will NOT be participating in the next "money bomb" even though I COULD. I am VERY interested in participating in something more meaningful, even if it costs more "money".
Bill of Rights /Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Do you need a politician or judge to "interpret" those 28
MLK money bomb Jan 21st is Important.
I've already had to deal with the racism charge issue. One of my tenents complained about my Ron Paul sign. She was angry that I was supporting a racist. I might have cleared things up on this issue maybe.
This particular money bomb will go a long way towards healing this issue. Please lets make this HUGE! freeatlast2008.com

the main reason is
because Dr. Paul NEEDS more to keep the advertisments going, pay for travel, etc...

End of quarter bomb
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a smaller money bomb before the end of the quarter? So that we break $20M and make sure Ron Paul has the best fundraising among republicans.
Ron Paul collecting the most money among republicans in Q4 would be impossible for the media not to cover big. I'm afraid though that if he only comes in second in the fundraising race, we would only get a fraction of the free publicity a win would yield.
problem
houston, we have a problem!
We need to be careful about putting it on MLK b-day.
It would be okay to have a decent money bomb and expect a million or so, but we shouldn't try to make another mega-moneybomb.
First, we've already done two amazing ones.
Second, if we fail to raise a lot ($3m+) and shoot our mouths off, they might actually think we're racist because we failed our fundraiser. :-\.
I think a lot of people will be low on funds after this last one, and include christmas shopping and new years party spending most people will be strapped for cash in january.
So we really need to get some consensus or increase in public opinion for us to go ahead with this next mega-bomb.
there is already a New
there is already a New Year's Eve moneybomb set up a long time ago.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for James Madison.
Sad
But you are right about that. Sure would be great to demonstrate our inclusiveness. What about the weekly bomb set for that day of the week.

We could call it "Paine in
We could call it "Paine in the MSM's a** day".
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for James Madison.
Like this date best
Makes sense. Timing and everything. Let the campaign send out letters in the mean time if there is an urgent need for cash.

MLK
Online FREEDOM MARCH. It would dispell some of the negative rumors.Fit in the timeline needed.Have a hisorical basis and might draw more press.
I agree... see my other post below...
"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." -Thomas Paine
Its a tough call
Could backfire, several schools of thought on this one.
Yeah...
... the more I think about it, the more I tend to agree with some of the other patriots posting on this thread. The money is good and we should all give as much and as often as we can until we're maxed out and then keep finding other ways to support the campaign.
What we really need now though is like a 100k people all accross America to take to the streets and canvass for our Liberty and Freedom. Now that would be an amazing thing.

A day for COMMON SENSE !
Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. It was first published anonymously on January 10, 1776

Too late
That would be too late to spend for Super Tuesday. Sticking with your theme, I suggest we do it on the day Common Sense was published, January 9th. That'd give them a chance to make better use of the cash.
Dates
I thought someone had settled on Ben Franklin's birthday: Jan 17. Maybe, Jan 15, Martin Luther King's birthday, would stress that the revolution is non-violent and open to all.
See my other post above...

MLK Day
MLK Day would shut the "Ron Paul is a rascist" type up.
Could do the 16th to honor both Franklin and MLK.

Sure
Sounds good to me
But I think there should be at least a mini bomb before December 31, just to get us over 20 millions.
Collectivism is slavery.
I Love the Idea
Paine is my favorite founding patriot - hands down - and never gets the credit he deserves. However, I think the date is too late. I think we need something that gives us at least 3 weeks before the 5 February Super Tuesday. That puts us on or before 15 January. Agree/Disagree?

Thomas Paine's b-day
would be great. Its time for a new "Age of Reason".
Chrstmas
Guys have you forgot that America is hurting right now. I am all cashed out we need to wait a month or so. The December 16th brought in 25k more than November 5th because more people found out about Ron Paul. January 15th would be awesome because MLK was killed for standing up to the powers to be. Ron Paul is standing against all of the corruption in Washington so January 15th would be a great analogy for the campaign.
