Neo-Cons Poised to Play Voting Fraud Trump Card

I remember reading an advice some months ago about notarized affidavit. Just within a week or 10 days before the vote, you prepare an affidavit stating whom you will be voting for. Include a copy of your Driver's License for ID, a copy of your voter's card on the same sheet, then in front of a notary sign it then get it notarized. This document will be used to contest the suspicious results after the counting. I hope their courts will admit it as evidence in lawsuit.

If the idea is acceptable, then we should work out the form document and circulate far and wide. Then it should be advertised and publicized and shared with other candidates' supporters so that the idea may deter attempts of vote fraud.

We may also want to ask the Russians, the Venezuelans, Iranians to come over here as International observers, since our country has degenerated into a banana republic. (Just kidding). God help us. Cheers.

I doubt this would be much help for the upcoming election. The idea provides the speed of electronic and the safeguard of paper with an extra verification measure.

1) The ballot is Paper and you fill in your choice (your ballot slip has an ID and a perforated tear off matching ID at the bottom).
2) You take your ballot to the box and voting machine. The electronic machine reads (scans) the ballot and "spits it back out" along with a paper receipt (this receipt has a matching ID for the paper ballot and your choices on it (check to make sure your receipt says whats its supposed to and the ID match) ).
3) You then take the perforated section at the bottom of the paper ballot (this contains the ballot ID) and tear it off. The election official ensures that you leave with this ballot ID and receipt of your choices stapled together.
4) You put the official paper ballot in the clear locked tub for a hand count
5) You keep the stapled receipt and the perforated ballot ID untill after the election is final

The Electronic count is the early numbers the media uses

The hand count (witnessed by whomever) once tallied and verified that it matches the electronic count becomes certified

Any discrepencies between the electronic and paper would go in favor of the paper count

Any real close calls would require the receipts collected by the voter to be recounted and tallied at their precinct level (you would bring them back). Each precinct would have a record of the electronic count ballot ID and choice for president, the final key if needed is the voter receipt. the ballot ID and the receipt ID vote counts are compared.

Sounds complicated but its really not. you have a three way key with the voter retaining final verification. Ultimately the paper count and the electronic count with the weight going to the paper count would negate the need for further scrutiny but in case its needed you have the receipt.

Is it possible to have everyone that votes for Ron voluntarily sign a sheet, maybe even an affidavit upon exiting the poll. That way we would at least have a good idea how many votes he received and way of knowing that he gets credit due. We would know his votes are not being credited to another candidate. The only fraud would be padding the numbers of the other candidates. I believe most if not all Paul supporters would be glad to let their vote be known. I would.
And it could be extended to the other candidates supporters too. Everyone should be concerned.

this is why i believe every county should handle this in their own fashion. The point being, do get bogged down with challenging the system at large. Challenge the official count in your precincts and report those to a central "hub" for the county. Then, be ready to challenge the numbers at the county court, and such. And, get your local media involved. And, don't limit this movement to Ron Paul supporters. Get all concerned citizens on board.

negate that fact. Voter fraud in the 2008 primary and general election is just now becoming a matter of discussion. I and others have been concerned for many months that Dr. Paul would be cheated out of a fair election.

When vote fraud was challenged as a “conspiracy theory” in another thread on this site, I in return challenged people to “Google” vote fraud and see what we came up with. The material is exhaustive to say the least. I used to tell people that just because something was a “conspiracy” didn’t make it NOT true. Indeed countries have been captured using secret strategies. There is a phrase we all use every day without even thinking and that is “it’s a Trojan horse.” What people mean is that is not what is seems but is something that is “unseen” or “hidden” from view but nevertheless real. This would be conspiracy but it is NOT a theory (theories are unproven hypotheses). So it follows that conspiracies can be devised which are real.

I do not want to be one of those people who are abrasive and lord it over others when they have experience in an area where others don’t. But the fact is, all of us have experience in some areas while we don’t in others. If I have computer problems, I get a computer geek. I am going to recite some of my experience in that light for you to use for whatever it is worth. If you choose to discredit me, that is your prerogative. I predict that those will be the same people who have tried to discredit Jim Condit (I’ve never met the man but have put one of his videos up on our site because I think it is important) and who have not at least investigated enough to see that this is a real problem.

My background to a large extent is with the election process. I have managed one state wide election and national ballot security for successful Presidential candidates in my state (as paid staff). As a result I became a fairly high level political appointee in the Reagan White House. I was ED or an organization for many years which worked closely with voting equipment vendors, election officials and the FEC. My organization received a grant to devise the first ever program for voting equipment vendors to have to have their equipment testing in independent non partial laboratories. Ultimately this was adopted and run by the National Association of Secretaries of State. I’m not sure where the program is these days but I can tell you there was powerful opposition from a huge voting equipment lobby.

My experience goes back to the early 70s in Texas when I met and worked for the then former assistant attorney general who broke the Duval county case and went on to write the book “The Fall of the King of Duval” I have seen clerks discreetly disqualify ballots. I have seen voting equipment companies come in under the “auspices of “machines breaking down” and replace the mother boards in computer equipment. I’m not crazy and I’m not a quack. I’ve seen some of this with my own eyes.

I was pleased to hear Rand Paul speak to this issue. In Boston he said that he was concerned that the vote would be stolen from his father. While I am from the school of candidates devising and implementing their own ballot security programs, perhaps those days are over.

And perhaps Dr. Paul’s staff is correct about wanting to “stay above the fray” on this issue. If that is the case however, then that leaves it up to the volunteers and I think, personally that we have a big job to do. Having organized and implemented ballot security programs twice in 254 counties, I know what a challenge it can be. And especially when you equate voting machine vendors into the mix, it becomes twice as tricky.

Several equipment vendors over the years have had people indicted and a couple I know of have gone to prison for election shenanigans. The Ohio sate election director just announced that the report she received on the integrity of all voting systems used in Ohio was “worse that she thought” At polling stations, teams working on the study were able to pick locks to access memory cards and use hand-held devices to plug false vote counts into machines. At boards of election, they were able to introduce malignant software into servers. For as long as I can remember voting equipment vendors have been in and out of the news on charges of assisting with voter fraud.

And the truth is that the FEC has been trying to get equipment vendors to release their source codes for years but to my knowledge it hasn’t happened yet. Probably again the result of a powerful lobby. If this doesn’t carry a message I don’t know what does.

Here is what I would suggest at the very least for people who want to protect the integrity of the vote:

1) Have a clear understanding of state laws and state Constitution. If there is anything that it unclear or could be interpreted and would help insure appropriate counting, bring this up to the Elections Director or the Secretary of State. Get a clear memo to take to the polls with you authorizing you to watch the vote and the count and to make phone calls from the polling place. Chances are you won't be admitted. When you encounter vote fraud or the suspicion of it, call them. Clerks and judges are not on your side in this Primary.

2) Set up a legal team and compile the legal documents needed for a contest or recount depending on what state laws are and the parameters for these two legal remedies,

3) Either educate yourself through Google or seek out some people who have had extensive experience to train you in what you are looking for. You can stand and watch everything but if you are not aware of some of the tricks it won't do any good.

4) Set up a central call station and have watchers call in the vote totals from the polling place and also to the Secretary of State's office and to a station set up by Paul volunteers. This will prevent nothing if the machines are rigged but it will tell you if vote totals were changed after the voting was over. It will also dissuade officials from “changing” vote totals if they know you have the figures. They can be programmed by the big computer companies to substitute one vote for another. This recently happened to me in a Constitutional election. I went back to check my vote and it was 'For" and not "Against". I changed them and then went back and they were changed again. Ask people to recheck their votes as they go into the polling places (most states require 100 feet from the polling place but you can still get a lot of people here. Machines will also "break down" and "mother boards" or "chips" will be replaced under the auspices of "machine breakdown".

5) After watching the vote count, follow whoever delivers the ballots to the courthouse where they are turned in. Make sure no stops are made. If the ballots are kept elsewhere make sure you see the ballots and equipment and locked up

6) take your vote totals (ideally on forms that were created for this purpose) to the Secretary of State's office.” They will typically have staff on all night shifts during elections.

I don’t mean to keep harping on this but we have all worked to hard to let this important step in the process slip by us. A few of us have set up a new forum where rooms can be locked. We am hoping that people who are concerned about ballot security will use the rooms to plan strategically their programs in counties or states. We just opened a couple of days ago so we haven’t had much traffic but our hope was to provide a planning atmosphere for people behind “closed doors” so planning can be done and differences of opinion can be aired without being fed to news feeds. If any of you are interested in organizing or starting a group to discuss these issues, we would be glad to provide the cyberspace. None of us have any personal interests in anything except providing something that is needed to further the cause of Dr. Paul’s candidacy. We are not even selling add space or materials.

We just want people to have a place that is “theirs” and they can use it however they see fit. The blog and forum are not moderated.
