Pls Help Me!

13 Thursdays.... January though March.

My local 912 group meets on Thursdays... I am begging them to have educational meetings every week for the first 3 months of the year. They are considering it and they are leaning towards having me teach!

Help me develop the curriculum, the needed information. I have one shot with these Statists and I want to open their minds!

What would you teach, if given the opportunity?

With QE2 going down

it's the perfect opportunity to teach them where the FED get's this "money" and exactly how they create it "out of thin air" and why it's GOING to affect them in the worst way. The best explanation for lay persons is done by G. Edward Griffin here:

you would have to show it in two parts, or just show the first half and give the DVD to take home and watch the rest. The down fall of this approach is that the second part is really where he connects all the dots between the FED, the "charitable" foundations, the military industrial complex, etc.

A good book for basic constitutional principles layed out in an engaging, down to earth manner is Badnarik's "Good To Be King"

As a former corporate trainer

I can give you technique advice, but others are better for recommending content.

Don't overload them.
Make sure and take adequate breaks.
Watch for body language signals.
Arrange your class seating where it is most interactive.
Understand that different people learn in different ways. Some are visual, some are audible, etc.
Get confidence in your subject matter. If you are fearful, or lack confidence, they will smell it.

Keep moving. Don't just sit in one place and read.

There is no substitute for passion.

Best of luck.

I would start

with basic economics, small gov't, and Federal Reserve Banking issues
These are things that these 912 types can understand without being too controversial to begin with.

You can't get into the war issues, because most 912ers are warmongering types. And you can't get right into the Israel issue either, because alot of them are brainwashed in that area too.

Eventually, you can ease them into the important topics by showing how it is socialistic/progressive(their buzz words for what they hate) to support the wars and support Israel.
You have to do it gradually and logically, or else they will want to run you over with a tank, like they want to do to everybody who doesn't want mass global murder like they do.

So, you can get them to come around, if you approach it from a fiscal-sanity viewpoint. Eventually, some 912ers might even begin to wake up.

My suggestion, and it's just that is...

Movie (documentary) Screenings...

You could start with Michael Badnarik's "Constitution Class" and work your way to the FED.

Constitution Class:

The conversations after each screening will be more powerful than the screenings themselves.

It's just a suggestion but has really worked for us. :-)

I would develop a reading list

easy progressing to hard. Thirteen weeks thirteen books.
Ron Paul books are good develop what you are going to say by what is in the book. I forgot what Ron's first book name is but it talked about our founding fathers and what the Constitution and Bill of Rights is all about. Anyway, read a book and give a outline of what is in the book if they want to read it they can go to their local library. Your job is to make it so interesting that they will want to read the book for themselves.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

You might consider starting with...

Well, BigMike has a point

But it doesn't really provide anything concrete. I believe they need to go back to understanding economics and the Federal Reserve and income tax. Then you can go into our foreign policy being driven by these money changers to make more money. They are the root of all evil. Then you can work on freedom including health freedom, etc. There is A LOT you can do. I hope others offer more concrete suggestions.

I'd start by ditching your 912...

group and hooking up with your local YAL Chapter or Ron Paul meetup group. You'll get much better results and some loyal and likeminded friends...

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I know major allies who fund them" Gen. Dempsey referring to ISIS

No, don't ditch

Certainly could use some peer support via a YAL chapter. So it would be good to do that because missionary work can be draining. When you are working among the pagans trying to evangelize, their cannabalistic instincts and inability to see the light could really depress and drain you. However, the heathen need the Good News and they won't hear it anywhere else, if you don't bring it to them. Working with the 912 group is true evangelism in converting them to being true liberty lovers.
