BREAKING : Congressman Charles Rangel (D) found guilty of violating 11 House rules

WASHINGTON — Rep. Charles Rangel, once one of the most influential House members, was convicted Tuesday on 11 counts of breaking ethics rules and now faces punishment.

An ethics panel of eight House peers deliberated over two days before delivering a jarring blow to the 20-term New York Democrat's career. Rangel was charged with 13 counts of financial and fundraising misconduct.

The conviction also was another setback for Democrats who lost control of the House to the GOP in the midterm elections.

Well, there is some reason

for this and it is never what they say. He must not have gone along with something and now he is being punished.

"Breaking ethics rules?"

Ain't they already all broken to pieces by others?

Should Mr Rangel, himself "now faces punishment?"

Would not his defense be, "They were already broken."

More of this! More!

More of this! More!

Hard work ahead

Now the hard part: composing the mean letter that will be his punishment. They must determine, among other things, how many times "really" is to appear before "shouldn't do that."

good starting point.. now

good starting point.. now there are 500 more of them to go after.

Those Weren't All Just House Rules, We're They?

I thought some of those were actually crimes. If so, then he should lose his seat at a minimum.

Heard a reporter this morning

say even if he is found guilty there will NOT be any criminal repercussions or talk of impeachment – they will merely ask him to repudiate his actions.

Off with his head!
