A TX state representative on Tuesday filed another crazy birther bill

(State representatives file birth certificate bill filed for presidential candidates - http://lubbockonline.com/local-news/2010-11-17/birth-certifi...
...“This bill is necessary because we have a president whom the American people don’t know whether he was born in Kenya or some other place,” Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, said in reference to President Barack Obama and of House Bill 295. “If you are running for president or vice president, you’ve got to show here in Texas that you were born in the United States and the birth certificate is your proof.”...) crazy huh

This is good

Arnold Schwarzenegger can't run for Pres.

Ironic, writing legislation

Ironic, writing legislation to make sure the constitution is enforced.

do not care where barky was

do not care where barky was born.. he is illegal/not eligible regardless.
Andy Martin for president 2012

Obamacon 2012 conference votes to nominate Andy Martin as a Birther/Doubter/Tea Party candidate for the Republican Party's presidential nomination in 2012

Martin reserves judgment on whether he will accept the call but insists the voices of 100 million Americans with doubts about Obama's past must be heard and addressed during the presidential primaries

"There cannot be a repeat of 2008, when Republicans ignored 'Birther' concerns about Obama's eligibility," Martin says

cque

It's strange

to see alternative ideas, that were bascially conspiracy theories now coming to mainstream ideas. Who would have thought so many voices would actually make a difference in the country anymore. Idk if I totally believe all the birther arguments, but at least they're fighting for their beliefs

Look up on youtube where BO's

Look up on youtube where BO's buddy, Bill Richardson, slips up while campaigning for him and calls BO an immigrant. It was aired on C-Span.

The birther arguments obfuscate,

Fact: B. Soetoro was fathered by a British citizen. By definition he is not "Natural Born". As a citizen other than natural born he is unqualified to be POTUS.

I see...

Unless of course he was born in America, then it doesn't matter what his father's citizenship was, but I have no facts indictating either side of the arguement. I see no phsyical birth certifcate that verifies either argument. I have only seen the image of one. My point was how good it is to see the status quo being challenged and winning.

Being born in America does

Being born in America does make a person an American. It doesn't make them "natural born", which is required for POTUS.

ecorob's picture

yes, i'm sorry to disagree...

but my understanding of "natural born" means being born on us soil to parents who were ALSO born on us soil...

please correct me if i am wrong

9/11 Truth.

just to clarify

but I still take no real stance on the matter. I would not be surprised if Obama was not a natural citizen but here is the definitions of a natural born clearly as long as you are born in the US you are eligble...

Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in the gaps left by the Constitution. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are "citizens of the United States at birth:"

•Anyone born inside the United States *

•Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person's status as a citizen of the tribe

•Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.

•Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national

•Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year

•Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21

•Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)

•A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.

* There is an exception in the law — the person must be "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. This would exempt the child of a diplomat, for example, from this provision.

Anyone falling into these categories is considered natural-born, and is eligible to run for President or Vice President. These provisions allow the children of military families to be considered natural-born, for example.

sorry

but websters and oxfords dictionary discribes a natural born citizen is someone born in America, has nothing to do with his parents. Just means they were always a citizen and did not become a citizen later. Also was approved to include parents who are citizens who were on vacation in a foreign country and such so mccain would still be eligble.

He was born in a Panama hospital.
