Orlando Sanford International Airport Opts Out from TSA Screening

Orlando Sanford International Airport has decided to opt out from TSA screening. "All of our due diligence shows it's the way to go," said Larry Dale, the director of the Sanford Airport. "You're going to get better service at a better price and more accountability..."

Eliminating the TSA is the main goal. Government at every...
level always pushes farther with their agenda then planned. That way they get their foot in the door of society when there is an uproar and continue growing.
There should be no homeland security department, meaning no TSA, no special emergency agencies in every city, etc. etc.. Our nation is becoming a over ran haunted (evil) house looking for ghost and most people are falling for it.

When government tries to run society it always fails. They are not smart enough. However, what does that say for those who support what they do. No scruples!
If we shrink government and get rid of the Fed the bulk of the financial problems in this country are eliminated. Our freedoms and liberties will not have the threat they have today. And we again can be prosperous as a free nation.

Didn't the Patriot Act forcibly make all airport screeners federal employees of the TSA? Has that changed since the Patriot Act went defunct?

With Thanksgiving next week, infrequent travelers will be....
shocked at what they must go through to now fly. The delays alone will be tremendous during this time.
The airports need to make a quick decision to opt-out now before these holiday travelers receive the grope of their life.
With travelers packed into terminals, this situation is already stressful enough. This pat-down could cause heart attacks, strokes, fainting spells, and certainly emotional trauma for all including especially children, and parents during this stressful time.
The airlines would endear themselves to their customers by opting-out and advertising that fact.
Will the Fed/TSA/Homeland Security let them is the question?

Kansas City International (MCI) doesn't use the TSA and they told me there's around ~6 airports in the US that don't.

Its a much smaller airport north of Orlando
Orlando International (MCO) is the main large airport which is near the attractions (Disney, Seaworld, Universal Studios, etc).

12 Months Is NOT soon enough
By then, the TSA will have MOST of our citizenry in their biometric database. Don't forget, Sanford is only REQUESTING to opt out from TSA screening. Good luck with that, after the next false flag attack.
It's a start. I'm sure that Disneyworld is screaming bloody murder over this TSA revolt.

Did you know that the nation's airports are not required to have Transportation Security Administration screeners checking passengers at security checkpoints? The 2001 law creating the TSA gave airports the right to opt out of the TSA program in favor of private screeners after a two-year period.

Like I said,
they won't be getting rid of the TSA if the FEDS declare an emergency. Game over.
The FEDS can easily change the current rules by executive order. 12 months ain't soon enough to evict the gropers.
I guess they could ban the TSA
from their property, but then they have to worry about the FAA claiming they can't take off.
