TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine

A retired special education teacher on his way to a wedding in Orlando, Fla., said he was left humiliated, crying and covered with his own urine after an enhanced pat-down by TSA officers recently at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

“I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn’t even speak,” said Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, 61, of Lansing, Mich.

Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his stomach. “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes.”

I think I just reached my daily quota of TSA thuggery news. I'm going to consciously refrain from overloading on anger.

TSA has to go

This is getting more disgusting every day. I don't fly, but I am sad and feel the humiliation for what these passengers are going through. TSA has to go.

Bump: These people are heartless.

They do not have a soul.

They are Nazis.

LForD, I shortened your post. Remember, no more than 3 paragraphs. Michael wants no more lawsuits.

No problem, though the story

No problem, though the story is pretty long, that's why I posted so much.

Just a few days ago my 30 year old neice

had a small bag of medications that couldn't be ex-rayed, and she had a paper signed by the doctor explaining it to TSA. TSA completely blew off her paper, and because this was something different and scary, they took her out of line to be molested, which, of course, traumatized her. She was traveling with her 3-year old son. She has sworn off of flying.
