Let's say this funder raises exactly $400,000

How much of that will go to the official Presidential campaign?

Please be specific. By "official Presidential campaign", I mean Ron Paul's committee filed with the FEC.

I need to know before I pledge or donate. This information should be disclosed.

If the $$ doesn't go to the officially filed campaign organization, then you should disclose who is getting the money.

While I can't agree with your nonstop bashing of Steve Parent, I do agree with disclosure for how donations will be spent. I gave to RP's campaign last time around to see monies given to the C4L. I did not send money to RP to have it go elsewhere. I will not donate this time (if there is a this time) without the guarantee it is for an aggressive campaign and a true will to win.

FBI..it is a pledge site and I believe was started over a year ago. It does not mean we have to pay the money to that site necessarily, just that we will pledge to send RP $100 when (if) he decides to run again for POTUS.

FBI, just pledge. You can donate the money to RP at his own official site if the time comes--and even they never say exactly how the money will be spent. They pay workers and ads, and stickers and rent, utilities, probably, who knows? But when the time comes (IF) you can donate the $100 or more, where you feel most comfortable.

I agree with you.

But I don't expect the PCC to publicize exactly what they do with our $$$. That would be dumb. Then every other campaign would know exactly what they are doing.

That said, if someone is collecting money "for the Ron Paul campaign," and they are NOT the PCC, then I think there needs to be some disclosure.

For example, does .50 on the dollar go to "overhead" and only .50 make it to the PCC? OR

Does .10 go to "overhead", .30 to grassroots projects, and .60 make it to the PCC?

If that's not disclosed, I think it's kind of dishonest if people are donating under one premise whcih was really a bait and switch.
