Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney are tops for GOP voters looking to 2012

A new poll finds Republican favorites for the presidential race are Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is a distant fifth; Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels is a dark horse.

I have no respect

for any clown who would consult his lawyers before deciding to bomb Iran and not the Constitution. What a loser. Sheeple are so misled.

Only in polls that leave out Ron Paul

I love a good joke.

I love a good joke.

Positively disgusting

stop the world, i want to get off

Two Establishment Republicans

Two Establishment Republicans with contempt for our Constitution. Either the GOP will have to change or we will have to support a third party candidate. It's as simple as that.

I think things will get better..

Obviously this poll is questionable. RP is much more known now than before, besides he has got his Senator son with him now.

The election is still pretty far away and RP will get more interviews and attention till then except for perhaps Palin.

The TSA debacle and other situtions will bring RP more to the forefront.

I think a great way to get RP further name recognition is by posting comments on youtube ie. Ron Paul 2012 with possibly a link to his site or here.

Tons of people watch youtube and other such mediums, just a suggestion.

If we want to bring RP to the

If we want to bring RP to the forefront, we need to gently and calmly tell our neighbors about Ron Paul. Like, "did you see that Ron Paul introduced a bill to make the TSA liable for inappropriate groping of passengers?"

youtube is for the fan club. Let's expand the fan club.

What a disaster.

May as well hand the next four years to Obama now. We're sunk.

Democratic/Republican wranglings

Palin or Romney will lose as bad a McCain in 2008.

Are they handing the Presidential perch to Democrats in exchange for more vicious war making?

I've known for some time that Sarah Palin would be the 2012 candidate. She's like the Republican equivalent of Obama - Totally unqualified...

We are doomed.

We are doomed.

Making people think they influence politics was really smart

Think of the options:
1) Bloody coup--too much clean-up
2) Internal revolt---too risky
3) Quiet take-over maintianing the outward appearance of business as usual.

Now they just have to focus on breaking the Constitution and the Union.

National politics is a show that used to be real so it's hard to accept the fact that it's become carefully scripted fiction.

The only way to win is not to play the game.

How about a game of chess.

Political discourse is only one facet of our life in a community. Historical discourse is far more relevant.

Historical discourse is far more relevant.

Big time.

Not playing the game would stop it dead in its tracks. If, however, everybody waits for everybody to stop, it will never stop.

As Speaker of the House

Ron Paul would be in the line for President.

He would also be Speaker of the House that controls the government's purse strings.

He could work with Senator Rand to balance the Federal budget.

Free includes debt-free!

Ignoring Ron Paul isn't going to work this time.

There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.

If Sarah gets the nomination

then the evil ones have decided to leave Obama in for another term, because Sarah is so despised by so many.

If Romney gets the nomination then I think they have decided on Mitt to carry their water.

RP is the ONLY one who could unite left, right and independents..... which is why they will NEVER allow him to win.

If the number of individual

If the number of individual states insist or declare mandatory legitimate proof of eligibility, Obama should be disallowed to run. Do democrats really want to take such a chance on risky choice like Obama?

And So it Begins...

The ignoring of Ron Paul by all those who used him to boost their own ratings over the past two years. Why would it be relevant to include him in your poll or article? He only won CPAC and several other prominent polls. He's only everything that every conservative "claims to want" in a POTUS candidate. He only predicted the housing bubble perfectly and tried to prevent it. He's only the lone Republican who the young people love and are inspired by. He has the courage to stand up to his party the way the American people want.

I think Jon Stewart said it best in 2007: "Dr. Paul you exhibit consistent, principled, integrity... Americans don't normally go for that."

The Republicans

The Republicans can smell power and they are going to be playing hardball all the way. They aren't going to give Ron Paul the time of day if they can help it.

They are not expecting a push for Speaker of the House.

When the front door is closed try the back door.

The House elections are the first order of business in January 2011.

makes me want to puke...but I don't have enough energy for those "Republican Favorites" to actually go through the puking motions.

Ron Paul was not included in the poll.

Don't you think that is suspect of a poll conducted by a "university"?

no respect.....again......

Did u see this garbage from Fox.

after all the 12 Republicans, they give RP like 5 seconds as an "outsider." I had even emailed Baier to say WTF You ignored RP last time, he outdid many of your favorites, has a huge grassroots following, Fox has him on at least 2x a week, and he doesn't get his own episode!??

Baier or the producer wrote me back to say, Yes Ron Paul will be covered...total BS. They don't want to give him any credibility, although he's AT LEAST neck and neck with their favorite: Newt fn Gingrich

Some history on George W. Romney and Nixon

It was 1970 when President Richard M. Nixon decided he had put up with his one-time rival George W. Romney long enough.

Nixon's staff had urged the firing of Romney from his job as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development because they objected to Romney's effort to integrate suburban housing -- and now Nixon was prepared to do the deed in person.
