Massachusetts - Nomination of Roderick Ireland to be Chief Justice of MA Supreme Judicial Court, Wed., Dec. 1
The public nomination hearing before the Mass. Governor's Council of Roderick Ireland to be the new Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court will take place at the State House on Dec. 1, at 10 AM, in the State House Hearing Room B-2.
This hearing is extremely important as the Chief Justice of the SJC has a direct influence over all Massachusetts courts.
Anyone can speak at the hearing, either in favor or in opposition to the nomination. The Fatherhood Coalition has sent Judge Ireland a letter and questionnaire to which all judicial nominees are requested to respond.
More people are now paying attention to how the third branch of government affects all our lives. This is the last and only opportunity to speak up about this nomination for in Massachusetts, once a judicial nominee is confirmed, it is a lifetime position.
The Governor Council is made up of eight members. Lt. Governor Murray is likely to preside at this hearing making it a body of nine. After introductions, the Lt. Gov. will ask those in favor of the nominee to testify, during which they may be asked questions by the Councilors. Following this, those who oppose the nomination are asked to testify and they also may be questioned by the Councilors. The nominee is then asked to make a statement. There is no direct questioning of the nominee except by the Councilors.
Written testimony and statements may be presented to the Council at any time before the final vote on the nomination which will take place at noon on the following Wed., Dec. 8.
Please attend and make your opinion on this nomination known. The Greater Boston Chapter of The Fatherhood Coalition is encouraging attendance. RSVP here.

Sorry....
..it took so long to get back.
I believe it is fair to say that Roderick Ireland is not a constitutionalist but instead believes in a living constitution.
Roderick was confirmed however by the Governor's Council in December. The Council now has 3 new members and it is expected to be less of rubber stamp for the governor in the future.
Dear JoeU and Mylene,
I live in Ma, can you give me an idea of Roderick Ireland's positions as they compare to Ron Paul's positions, so that I can know to be against or in favor of this nomination?

SJC only Common Law Court in Massachusetts
I would like to comment on the importance of knowing that the Massachusetts State Supreme Court is our only true Constitutional Judiciary Branch of Government, as it is the only Common Law Court left in Massachusetts. The present de facto government has silently removed them from our State. For the Common Law Courts are our only true Constitutional Courts left, that are under the Constitutions Judiciary. All of the other Courts are the de facto governments, Administrative Courts. Administrative Courts are only supposed to be allowed to hear only cases that involve government matters. Not peoples, lives, liberties, or properties. Our Common Law Courts are the only courts where people will recieve their true Due Process as entitled to all under our original U.S. Constitution. So, for the life of me, I cannot understand why family issues are heard in an Administrative Court? Could it be that children and people are considered property and not human. I am not sure if this blogger is aware of this fact about our Common Law Courts. So, let me see if I have this right, if I have been denied my true Due Process, I have to take it all the way to the Supreme Court to have my rights be heard and determined by a Court of Law that was set up by our Founding Fathers. What kind of sense does that Make? Absolutely none! All the money all the lawyers and State's attornies and Judges make on someone just trying to exercise their unalienable right to a fair and just trial, of true Due Process? What a sham, this de facto system is. I suspect this blogger knows of this fact about Common Law Courts, as he makes the statement of SJC has a direct influence over all Massachusetts Courts. That is because, it is our true Common Law Court=Due Process=Law of the Land. These Common Law Courts are our true Constitutional Judicial Courts. Not their Administrative Courts, where you may have an Informal or Formal Hearing, but, you will, NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT receive true Due Process as garaunteed by our original U.S.Constitution and Bill of Rights. Did you know that "they" tried to get Massachusetts to change it's State Constitution around 1852, they held a General Court and voted on it. Thank God, they voted against it. It did not stop the evil Eltists that want to rule. They managed to covertly get into how our State handling of it's State Citizens tax monies, that went to Public Schools. They superceded one of our Articles to push their way into micromanage and tell the State where their citizens tax monies would go to, and how much, to where. Federal and or State or both. Imagine that? Fathers have been railroaded by the State and Federal Governments for far too long now. Stop taking away our Common Law Courts and bring them back to us where they belong. People are not governmental property. Stop beating down the families, too.
Be Safe. LoveandPeace,Mylene
