Diverse Publications Admire Congressman Paul
Two recent postings by different authors in politically diverse publications have promoted Ron Paul's candidacy for the same reason. I suspect it is the same reason so many of us support him, even when we disagree so often and come from such randomized points on the social and political spectra: Because Ron Paul represents the 'real change' everyone else, especially Barack Obama this election, can only talk about. A chance to reject government as it stands today, and throw open the doors and windows of the halls of power to the antiseptic of light and scrutiny.
The first was from John Derbyshire, at National Review, appropriate quote first:
"If, however, you think that much of the underbrush that has grown up around our national institutions this past 40 years needs to by pulled up by the roots and burned, before it chokes the life out of our Republic, then Paul's your man."

Next, John Nichols at The Nation:
"If Republican primary voters follow -- even in reasonable numbers -- then Ron Paul's campaign really will be a revolution. And he will be the 2008 candidate who is remembered for doing something that can matter more than winning a party nomination or a November election, and that is changing the politics of a country that needs every new approach to altering a corrupt and dysfunctional status quo."

Christian Science Monitor article...
CSM is doing an article on the Ron Paul volunteer efforts in NH. Look for it next week sometime. Interviews are being done with volunteers later this week. Their last article on Ron was very fair and objective. I expect that this one will be the same.
"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?
more diverse support
A very prominent internet marketer, Mark Joyner, has sent out a mass mailing in support of Ron Paul! http://www.markjoyner.name/logs// .
And there is a new video made (by?) this website at the bottom of this page. Its Ron Paul set to the tune of the Iron Chef!

The Tide is Turning -- Time to Get to WORK
I am reposting a tread I started on this thread because I see the tide turning; the media are starting to give Dr. Paul a real hearing. The time is NOW to build upon this momentum with signs and slim jims and above all quiet, responsible determination to get the real word out to the individual on Dr. Paul. Now that media is giving him some coverage, more people will stop and listen to what Dr. Paul has to say.
I think the time for calling attention with money bombs and blimps is over and the time for hard old fashioned work of canvassing the streets and neighborhoods is at hand.
This is what we all have worked for -- don't don't let it pass us by without taking full advantage!
Repost here:
This is a careful, thoughtful examination of the reasons why Dr. Paul should be he Republican Party's Nominee. Pass it on!

Today, Andrew Sullivan, author of The Daily Dish column at theatlantic.com (The Atlantic Magazine) endorsed Ron Paul as GOP Nominee!
The column is the best piece I have seen in the MSM about Dr. Paul; certainly the only one endorsing the Dr. Get the word out on this one!
Sullivan says that Ron Paul is the only one that "Gets it."
"He's the real thing in a world of fakes and frauds. And in a primary campaign where the very future of conservatism is at stake, that cannot be ignored. In fact, it demands support."
Jim Rogers, investor
also said Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that "gets it."
