What possible purpose could it serve today to dredge up this year-old thread from 2007?

Let it die.

actually,it was someone else that bumped the post.

Their name is no longer visible. They had a link to some closet organizing website. I'm guessing MN deleted their account.
FJV just responded to it without looking at the date of the post. FJV is good at responding to things without really looking at the details, such as the 9/11 event.

ROAR!!!

I woke up today, hopped on YouTube and watched the interview, and it was F*CK!N BRILLIANT!!!!

That is the Ron Paul of the 1980's - the fire, the in-your-face mentality. He's older and wiser now, but he's still got that fiery attitude. I love that he takes it out on Faux News and those phony plasticized pieces of gutter trash.

I have more respect for the ladies of the night that stand outside the Holland Tunnel at 3am in fishnet stockings than I have for Fox News reporters. They are the lowest creatures in American journalistic history.

Drudge front page: Paul gets Andrew Sullivan's endorsement

Forget about the link to the youtube quote, scroll down and see this:

SULLIVAN: 'Ron Paul For The Republican Nomination'...

Sullivan's a regular on Chris Matthews and Bill Maher. I respect his views and think this is just the first of many endorsements, now that we've shown TWICE that American's are supporting Ron Paul with their pocketbooks.

Sweet

Ron Paul is on Drudgereport.com TWICE!
1 for the Huckabee slam
2 for the Sullivan endorsement

wow

Anyone can use patriotism and religion to get ahead but it's not real. He's calling it like it is. He's tired of Fox News and that is showing. He has more confidence and I think he realizes his chances are real. We've got to make this happen.

Dr. Paul's quote is great!

"When fascism comes it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross."

Ron Paul is the only candidate with the willingness to state the truth about this.

Some people have said they were worried about people's reactions... Don't be. His comment isn't a criticism of religion (or of patriotism). It's a criticism of the false use of religion (and patriotism) as cover for an intrusive political agenda.

LOL

I submitted it as a tip to drudge INCLUDING the video.

Thank you, Thank you, please no autographs.

Not a prediction -- a description of current events

Certainly George Bush and likes to wrap himself in the flag and claim he's a Christian. While he favors obtaining evidence by torture, industrial scale violation of the 4th amendment by the NSA, the notorious Patriot Act, preemptive war, etc. We are moving in the direction of facism.

Paul's remark is not an attack on Christians (he is one) nor on patriots (he's one of those, too). It's an attack on false Christians and false patriots who use the cross and flag to bedazzle the public into granting them dangerous and arbitrary power.

link... or it didn't happen

I don't see it on the front page anywhere now... whos got a link to the actual article?

.

wrong post sorry...

go to israel for the holidays

Well, you're just gonna have to get used to it. This is kind of what happens when your ancestors move to a country that's about 85% Chrisitan. Also, if talk about Buddha makes you uncomfortable, I recommend not moving to Japan.

I hope you enjoy your Chinese food, though. I try to get a little Chinese food on Christmas here in NYC, as well.

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt

Don't tell jews to move out

Don't tell jews to move out of the country if they don't like our "85% christian country."

What makes this country great is its diversity and its freedom (including to disagree with christianity and say you are sick of hearing about it).

What a stupid comment! My message to jews, and everyone else: I'm glad you live in America; home of religious freedom!

yeah buddy....UNLESS YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN...

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master... George Washington

boo hoo hoo

No one told the jews to move out, you crybaby. But if you live in a country that's 85% Christian, it makes zero sense to sit around and kvetch about how the country "really likes talking about christianity".

Hey, how about taking the jewishness and judiasm out of israel? Whoops, I forgot. Only in Amercia are people people supposed to closet their beliefs for fear of offending someone somewhere. Israel can do whatever it wants.

My message to jews and to everyone else: Quit complaining about what people freely like talking about, if you're only 1% of the population. I'm the only white guy who lives in a black neighborhood in New York City. I don't complain about how I'm sick of "hearing about black stuff". It's their culture. I freely moved into it. So get over yourself.

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt

Did you read

the next entry

yup

And I was responding to the other guy.

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt

oddly... I am going to israel for the holidays

I was talking about the Huckabee Ad. I'm suggesting that the Christ talk coming out of Huckabee makes me uncomfortable since he uses Jesus rhetorically instead of logically. I've read the New Testament and I think Jesus would support the "Subvert the Dominant Paradigm" candidate in any election --- especially the candidate going after usurious currency systems...
