I already looked into it, and it takes only 10k-50k to launch a small private satellite. This is easily doable, as the blimp was 300k a month.

I know it's a joke idea, but just for the hell of it, let's take a look at the economic viabiity.
PROS:
The ultimate house boat.
The Catapults would seriously kick ass for launching water balloons.
CONS:
No engines- approx. $3M to replace
Pumps and generators inoperative- Another $5M or so
Annual maintenance cost for fuel and maintenance on this class of carrier: $210M
Tough decision.

i don't really like the idea
of Ron Paul on a Military anything. How about a Ron Paul Memorial akin to the Lincoln or Washington memorial buildings? Or Possibly a Ron Paul Economics Library with extensive works from the Austrians, including himself.

Although you are technically correct
they do carry Aircraft and not war, it would be hard to argue that we use these planes for National Defense. We couldn't get to the planes that hit on 9/11... but we sure as hell can bomb a bunch of brown people in the middle east with our planes (some transported on Aircraft Carriers).
It would be a sad day that the USS Ron Paul pulled into the harbor of another country and unleashed death and destruction.
No one can say it wouldn't happen. Does our military's track record lead anyone to believe they wont use it for ill intentions, just like any other aircraft carrier.
I think there are many more choices to pay homage to Ron Paul. Almost anything would have more dignity than a contribution to the Military Machine, the "Human Being Lawnmower".
