911 Truth for Science-Challenged Americans, No "Momentum" Doesn't do That
The rest of the world knows 911 was an inside job because in many places, like Europe, basic physics is still required in high school. 911 could only have been pulled off in a decadent, late-stage empire with most of its educational infrastructure already ravished. The people who should be on a funny farm are not 911 Truthers but those who think skyscrapers with steel cores can roll down into themselves in 14 seconds, and that the "momentum" from 10 to 30 light upper stories can crush the backbone of the lower 70 - 90 stories like magic.
Stack ten paint cans and lift the top one up 3 feet above the rest, and drop it on the other nine. See if it crushes them. It's called Newtonian physics. Upward static force (resistance) counteracts downward momentum. Newton's laws were not suspended for one day.
Kerosene (jet fuel) only burns at around 500 F in open air and steel needs close to 2,750 F to melt, maintaining significant strength even at 2,000 F. Office furniture is fire retardant and burns even cooler than kerosene. The fires were cool and confined to a small number of floors. Had they reached forge-like temperatures you wouldn't have seen people standing in the windows next to them. They would have been shriveled.
Thermal calculations of the caloric (heat-energy) content of all available fuels in the buildings (including the jet fuel, i.e. kerosene) show what common sense tells us in the first place, that you can take all the office furniture, paper and kerosene in the world and heap it around 47 vertical, cross-braced columns weighing 40,000 tons, and the steel isn't going to get soft anymore than you can melt a crowbar with rolled up newspapers soaked in lighter fluid. The hallmark of a steel foundry is high-energy-content fuels like coal burned with pressurized air (a "bellows") in an enclosed ceramic chamber able to concentrate thousands of degrees of heat.
As for the plane hits, here is good illustration on why the hits themselves were insignificant, and did not "twist" or fatally compromise the structures. This is the mass of structural steel in one WTC tower relative to mass of the jetliner:

Official story snake-oil salesmen talk breathlessly about "tremendous stresses" (how tremendous? BIG BIG BIG!) But the stresses in any structure in any state of equilibrium can be calculated. Those who believe the official story even after being confronted with the science are people who believe in spoon-bending with brain waves.
What the media doesn't tell you: Explosions were heard and witnessed all morning as preliminary charges weakened the structures. Every American has the duty to watch these videos of firefighters testimony, which, SURPRISE! never made it into the 911 Commission Report. Neither did anything about Building 7 which went straight down and wasn't even hit. Some of these tapes were obtained only after Freedom of Information Act Requests.
The last remaining hurdle for 911 truth are those whose belief in the official story is not a rational one, but based on a need to cling to any remaining shred of plausibility. They know about the impossible cellphone calls, the spiral dive into the Pentagon, the multiple air defense war games scheduled that morning (including hijack scenarios to confuse NORAD,) and the hundreds of other unanswered questions. Where was Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who had the shoot-down authority in the event of a hijacked airliner, for 30 minutes when no one could find him and he had essentially deserted his post? Why did he re-enter the chain of command only after the morning's key events were over, with no record of having issued any orders?
The last obstacle to 911 Truth is psychological. This arises from a terror at confronting something which is very frightening indeed, but which our Founders would have expected us to confront.
A reptilian-hearted cabal which views us as nothing more than sheep to be slaughtered in choreographed rituals in order to achieve their political goals is frightening, but not beyond our ability to overcome. So forget about "downward momentum." It doesn't work that way. Remember, stack ten paint cans...

Clearly it was 3 demolitions and a Pentagon operation, in an extremely sophisticated operation which only major intelligence service assets would have the skills, logistics, communications, and security to pull off. Including the authority to schedule war games overlapping the attacks including one which conveniently resulted in the evacuation of the National Reconnaissance Office where satellite surveillance is based. You'd need a high-level authority to seal off the crime scene and arrange for the rapid destruction of evidence, which were Rudy Giuliani's immediate orders but his orders in turn came from higher up. Then you'd need an elaborate and well-financed permanent disinformation operation like sites including Randi forums and the Popular Mechanics "debunk" to shout-down and ridicule skeptics with the thinnest of counter-arguments, if any, just ad hominem attacks to chill the discussion.

My 9/11 story:
My fledgling little company builds commercial lawnmowers, the kind used by landscapers. We're an e-commerce company and attempt to compete against the major brands like Toro and John Deere. Needless to say; every sale is a big deal. We sell a few hundred machines per year- small-potatoes relative to "the big guys", but big for somebody with a life's work on the line.
After watching "Loose Change" in 2005 and researching a number of 9/11-related sites, I became a believer; our government had indeed been taken over in a coup on September 11th and America was being destroyed as the result. I decided to use our website, which gets an incredible amount of web traffic, to spread this message in the hope of raising awareness. I put up a page with links and a description of what I had learned.
Within 48 hours, I had a "propsective customer" (anonymous) from Houston Texas who said he was ready to purchase one of our mowers, but wouldn't do business with somebody how believed such a thing about the government. I'll be honest; the guy bullied me, in every sense of the word. Being someone who really needs to support his employees and feed his family, I reluctantly took my 9/11 Truth information down from the website and rationalized it to myself saying, 'don't mix your personal beliefs with your business'. I doubted myself and caved-in because I thought my beliefs were harming my family and those who depended on me. This was a mistake and for that I am sorry. It won't happen again.
A few weeks later, COMPLETELY out of the blue, totally unsolicitied, we received a call from the U.S. Navy with a purchase order ALL READY MADE OUT to order two of our highest-priced machines for use at Camp frickin' David. NO SHIT! No GSA contract- No questions- No conversation; Just boom- here's an order, the credit card info and a ship-to address. At the time, we were so hungry for business we were elated- and we had gotten an order from "the President's personal lawnboys"... woo-hoo! We were on cloud-Nine! But over the years now that I think about, I wonder...
Since we received that initial order, we have not heard "boo" from them since. Not a single order for service parts, blades, belts- not even a spark plug.
Nothing. This doesn't follow the pattern of our other customers who are actual users of our product. If they don't need any service parts, then they must not be using them. And if they're not using them, then why did they buy them in the first place? No new lawnmower blades in FIVE years- and we're the only source? C'mon.
I've wondered a million times; was this my "thirty pieces of silver" for shutting up about 9/11?
It's time to get noisy folks. We've been lied to in the most fundamental of ways and for the most nefarious of reasons. 9/11 provided the pretext for everything bad that's going on right now. It's time the lie was dragged-out into the light of day.

The Internet is more powerful than you think, which is why they are trying to think of ways to shut it down. You can reach people you have never met and make them think.

Yes! On 4th of July we stayed away from the small number
of truthers who passed out their literature shouting "Your government is trying to kill you!!!" I wonder if they weren't plants/provocateurs. The most successful of us passed lit with a pleasant smile and "hi, here's something for you to read for when you have moment." When we looked back these were the people actually reading what we gave them.

seems to be a short, straightforward collection of the best evidence. I'm looking for the best documentary to assign to people who say 'ok, I'll watch one thing" which are freely burnable/redistributable. This seems a little tighter than Loose Change Final, as some people will not sit for something that long. Others?

narrated by Daniel Sunjata (sp) the other night on Netflix.
I'm not sure if it was "Final Cut" or not, but it was pretty well done.
"Missing Links" is another thought provoking film as well.
If you stop to think of all the technology that has been developed by a certain unnamed country, and their ability to control that technology through back doors, it inevitably raises more questions.

All of these points are enough individually to warrant a real investigation. And many you did not bring up, such as the insider trading, insurance fraud, the fact that hijackers could not even fly single engine light aircraft, their involvement and funding by Pakistani intelligence, half of the commissioners not believing their own report, the mysterious deaths of Senator Wellstone, witness Barry Jennings and many others, the report of building 7 falling 20 minutes before it did when there was no indication or reason for anyone to think it would fall, the fact that the hijackers somehow knew that this was the date of the most air drills in the history of the military on any one day, the fact that just months prior Cheney and Rumsfeld had standard operating procedures reworked that, if in place, would have prevented the tragedies, the fact that they and others profited from lucrative security contracts, etc...)
It's truly one of the most open and shut cases in history. I have little patience with people who spout derogative titles on those who hold the more logically concrete position, simply because it is a harsh reality.
