Yes I know it is about world war I but it came out in 1941, and it appears to be made specifically to get christians behind the war effort and into the front lines. Granted it is a true story except for the parts they changed or altered to make it better suited to their purposes.

what yall think.

You want to watch a movie

about a true hero? Watch "The Conscientious Objector." This guy was a real hero. Hes served his country and received a Medal of Honor without ever carrying a gun in WWII. Amazing man. He served in the South Pacific during the worst of the fighting as a medic.

Sgt. York was most decorated soldier in WW I, not WW II.

Yes, it is based on a true story. If the story is even partly true, he was a good man who did what he felt needed to be done. It is one of my favorite movies, because it shows a moral dilemma and how difficult it was for York to find an answer. It shows a man who was moving down a very dark and lonely path, and how he found personal salvation in attempting to improve himself and live a good life.

Its one of my favorite movies

Its one of my favorite movies as well. In fact, I just watched it last week. He was actually a WWI hero, and it is a true story.

Besides being a Christian movie, it shows that a man who can shoot well can do a lot of damage. You can learn something about windage and taking down a flock of gease as well.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Good ole Kentuckey windage...

it truly is an art.

but it was made in 1941

What war was fought then?

Thank you

I was being polite,Just waiting to see who figured it out.

I realized at the time that it was propaganda, but it seemed so obvious to me when they provided him with the home--
