I truly believe Guns and Weed, is one of the better primers out there that can possibly succeed in bridging the "liberty/freedom gap" between the freedom activists still straddling the false L vs. R. paradigm divide.
while I've personally never done any drugs, short of being fed unknowingly by someone who thought it would be hilarious to see his perceived-to-be-'straight arrow' roommate a delicious new "brownie" of his own "special recipe," I do however look forward to the day I can interact with Ayahuasca, when I'm ready, in a proper setting. perhaps, actually in the Amazon jungle, or at the NM church that recently won the SCOTUS case, which simply re-affirmed the Natural Right to spiritually engage as they see fit.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition It seems like everyone is now talking about marijuana legalization. Indeed, a national poll in December found that 53 percent of Americans support ending its prohibition. ...
These are welcome developments to a retired police chief like me who oversaw the arrests of countless people for cannabis and other drugs, but saw no positive impact from all the effort and resources expended. Soon, it seems, cops may no longer have to waste time and risk lives enforcing laws that don’t actually prevent anyone from using cannabis.

I was a bit mixed on CA's recent Prop to 'legalize' pot: great first step in the right direction, but mired with dangers of govt regulation.
the local CA 420 activists actually had a good reason to oppose the Proposition, as it would have Wal-Martized it. plus, the chance of getting the State hooked on pot-revenues, becoming NOT addicted to its 'cashflow' and not be greedy enough to raid natural, home-growers later on, are next to nil.
if they're junkies to fiat currency tax 'revenues' now, just wait until they get a taste of the real thing. of course, in an ideal world, they'd have no say on the matter on federal, or at state gvt levels. should be treated no different than buying seeds at your local nursery for apples or citrus trees. barring an actual accident caused by a DUI driver, there should be no law regulating it whatsoever in regards to what grown adults can raise in his/her backyard, or ingest what they harvest off the same backyard. period.
but, oh so long way to go...

hemp and all and I miss that space before condos and parking lots paved over our local farm lands and that was just 60 years ago.
Growing something at home is great entry to becoming interested in agriculture and the rewards therein, you know, satisfying work. And wonder if it paid $100,000 a year, you know, like $100 tomatoes would provide. Anyway, cottage industry is also what this Prop 19 voting "no" meant to me, to allow more time for the cottage industry reaching back into our farming nature and feeling of security in our health and wealth.
Hemp means a re-taking of our lands and is an honorable pioneering spirit.
