Ron Paul at 7% Nationally; Victory is Actually Possible
Submitted by contrazoom on Tue, 12/18/2007 - 13:46Ron Paul is at 7% nationally according to today's Rasmussen tracking report.
From this article at Libertarians Rising, which describes a scenario in which Paul could realistically win the nomination:
Via Lew Rockwell comes the news that Ron Paul is at 7% nationwide in today’s Rasmussen tracking poll. To the casual observer, it may seem that he doesn’t have a chance to win the GOP nomination. That is indeed the likely outcome if Paul’s campaign continues to receive the same paltry level of coverage in the mainstream media that he has received thus far.
Let me offer a scenario in which Ron Paul could actually go for the win. Suppose that the Doc’s lead increases 4 percentage points to 11%, and that two of those percentage points come at the expense of John McCain, who is currently at 13% in the Rasmussen Poll. That would put Ron Paul even with McCain, and would undoubtedly spark an absolute media frenzy over the so-called “dark horse” candidate who came out of nowhere, built a grassroots movement, and caught up with 1/3 of Team Rudy McRomney.

How we will win
Interesting... I just posted this in another thread. Good timing!
The parity plays to our advantage. I could see something like this playing out in Iowa and New Hampshire:
Ron Paul: 17%
Romney: 16%
Huckabee: 16%
McCain: 16%
Giuliani: 15%
Thompson: 12%
Tancredo: 5%
Hunter: 2%
Other: 1%
To mix my metaphors... Let the dogs eat the dogs. The cream will rise to the top!
