Congressman Paul on the Thom Hartmann Program (12/14/2010)

http://www.ronpaul2012podcast.com/2010/12/14/congressman-pau...

Progressive Radio talk show host Thom Hartmann talks to Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX, 14th District) on his support for WikiLeaks. The two also talked about the ongoing wars; and Dr. Paul spoke about why he thought fellow fiscal conservatives don't argue for ending the empire and bringing the troops home:

RP: "They're scared to death that if they say we ought to just leave, that they're not tough...Sometimes people like to prove how tough they are with other people's lives. And I think sometimes being tough is standing up for what is right!"

Great interview! I wish it were a segment longer!

Hope you don't mind ... I took this out of Off Topics ...
seemed like it was Current Events.

Thom Hartmann is an interesting lib ... he once did a joint broadcast with Alex Jones and I found that fascinating. Wish they'd do it again.

NO, you're not seeing things ...here is a SHIRTLESS Alex Jones with Thom! www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYHmhsVc4S8

Nice thanks photo

That is a surprisingly great interview, one of the best I've heard in a long time. Thanks for taking it out of Off Topic. I just bumped it to the front page.

This is the kind of interview I really enjoy. Not all politics; Not a bunch of breathless bluster from the interviewer or weird distracting camera motions like they like to do now on TV; not the same old questions; very candid answers from Dr. Paul.

And like Thom says at the end, 'nice to have a conversation that is not a debate.'

Thanks Photo & Merry Christmas!

I'm watching Shirtless AJ now. Most amusing.

Wow, front page ... thanks so much Michael.

Fortunate for us that JTWilliams found the gem and created a nice thread. Like Naomi Wolfe or Glenn Greenwald, Thom is a reasonable and thoughtful human being.

btw, I agree with the others ... I know you are tremendously busy, but if you ever get a chance to blog more, I hope you will. You always make profound points and I enjoy your perspective.
    Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2011 ! ~ /wiz

ha, at first I thought it was digitally altered!

Yeah, two smart guys, a libertarian and a lib shooting the breeze and finding agreement. Nice.
