Ron Paul Strafford County NH Speech

You've seen the video of Rep. Woods announcing the results of the poll, but here is most of the speech and a nice video of the picnic on August 18th. Please note the fellow who says he's a Democrat but will be voting for Ron because he wants 'lower taxes'. I say any Republican who can get Democrats to vote for lower taxes must be A-OK!

Jesse Benton ??????

Who is this guy Jesse Benton and why did he prevent Ron Paul supporters from working with Vote in Sunshine during the Iowa Straw poll ????

I think this guy should be relieved of his duties !!!! We need a vote count after
each straw poll and primary VERIFIED by Ron Paul supporters !!!

Also the campaign staf should listen to Ron Paul and make sure he is
supported fully by an accurate VOTE count !!!!

GO RON PAUL !!!!!!!

We need to keep other agendas separate from the campaign.. Jesse is right.
Iowa was good for Ron, he got 10% with very little effort.

GREAT video!

The thing I always enjoy about the Ron Paul video postings is their "home grown" look and appeal. The fact there are no "celebrity" endorsements or appearances, it's just moms, dads, kids, grandparents and even us "singles" out there lending our voices and support to the person we believe best able to lead our country.

Add me to that list of those who were leaning towards a Democratic candidate who, upon learning of Ron Paul, changed sides...and really not even "changed sides" but changed CANDIDATES as many of us really couldn't care less about "party politics" anymore.

We all know Ron grew up with a Pennsylvania address. Now let's make sure he has a Pennsylvania AVENUE address next !

If politics is ugly

If politics is ugly then partisan politics is hideous. The leadership of the GOP doesn't get and likely never will. Pork, special interests, and large populist programs are never ok, but to every sitting Republican (and Democrat) they are all part of the game.

Even the GOPers who haven't drank the neocon koolaid are complicit. We are as tired of the two party system as we are of business as usual politicians.

Lesser of 2 evils

Just a thought - instead of sending your money to the Republican Party (where it will do Ron Paul no good - they don't like him...), send it to Ron Paul directly or use it in your meet-up groups for the campaign.

As for the lesser of two evils, look at it like this: when you vote for the lesser of two evils, what do you end up with? EVIL. That is why you vote for the non-evil, no matter what the pundits and polls say.

If all the people I talk to who say, "I would vote for him, but he won't win..." would actually vote for RP, we'd have our president by a landslide...

That's my point exactly

All these Straw polls that we are starting to win "are" GOP fundraisers. Pay $25 or $35 to vote and the money goes into the local war chest. I think the candidates should get a cut of the voting fees when cast for them. Look at the money Romney threw at the Iowa organization. Why? because he knows his people control the local party and it will most likely all come back to him.

Will the GOP stab Ron in the back?

I'm worried that after getting all our money and publicity the GOP bosses will turn their backs on Ron Paul.
If you watch the reading of the results of the poll, the speaker can barely bring herself to report the results. It's as if we were some long lost relatives from the wrong side of the tracks crashing a posh dinner party.
I was there that weekend and spoke to one of the local office GOP candidates. He was trying to make sure we were still going to vote Republican if another candidate were chosen, using the lesser of two evils argument.
Many of us stated we are done voting for evil even if it is lesser. Will they ever get the message? Give the people what they want!

I'm afraid that's a big part of the problem

Big party politics is a beast within itself, and the Ron Paul campaign is exposing the truth. The party bosses have their favorites for a reason, and it's the time enduring reasons - money and favors. These local party cheifs are all about raising money, and I can only assume that they've been convinced that Rep Paul is not their best money raiser. He doesn't need to be....not for the party! I think Rep. Paul's support is growing because people are really fed up with it. Doesn't matter which party you pick, the operations are the same. Deals cut in back rooms. Rep. Paul doesn't go to the back room meetings. He states his messege clearly for all to hear. These lower party minions, who think they are really being patriotic by following their party "bosses" need to wake up and smell the coffee.
