As discussed in yesterday's thread

on this same topic, besides the being annoying in that they mentioned 'decriminalizing' mj [not legalizing-which is yet another law on behalf of the fed govt 'over us'], medical mj as per RP's healthcare freedom positions, and allowing industrial hemp as per free market economics-they also did not mention 'issues'-2nd amendment,pro-life,secure borders,etc.- that are republican as much as libertarian, which RP does indeed share his party's position on. [Not to mention that RP has been a ten term republican congressman!!!! duh]
They just put that quick mj blurb in as emotional propaganda-linking RP with mj.
But what may be worse,is how they reemphasized in doing so,his '3rd party' candidacy-or second tier or non existent republican status.
None of that is true,of course, but that is the part that really got me about this lame-o piece of so called coverage.
yea,cover up-the truth.

REFRESHING YES, SLANDERED BY CNN? ALSO YES

This is my first post here on Daily Paul so I will first bid you all an enthusiastic GREETINGS from Wheaton, IL. I check this site daily and being one of the biggest shills for Ron Paul in my town (that I know of) I decided it was time to become a member.

First, (Glen Beck's interview aside) CNN is a biased piece of SH*T!! I wholeheartedly consider them as blatantly obtuse and professionally stubborn in their 'news reporting' as Fox news. Controlled News Network - appropriately initialed tells us that even though our man Ron Paul is out performing all the other 'Republican' candidates he is not worth a sensible persons vote because he "supports legalization of marijuana!!"

Come on! At least show that you have someone, anyone competent enough to disagree and argue intelligently enough to attack him on a real position. A billion dollar corporation SURELY has enough capital to hire a real brain to argue and defend its Communist News Network's ideologies. (Another fitting abbreviation)

We must stop being politically correct (myself included) when it comes to the mainstream news outlets. Propaganda is a serious and effective tool, most always in our histories past used for ill good. We must recognize propaganda for what it is, the State's desire and version of reality, and forever rejects its authoritarian call. Let us be free people once again and shake the chains of oppression from our souls forever!

Proud and humbled to be part of the Revolution!

-Erik

You are Correct!

Aside from the intelligent Glenn Beck interview,CNN has been ridiculous...particularly with it's obessession with the Establishment candidates to the detriment of others who have much more to say...this Presidential Campaign has been a wake up call to me personally as to how biased the Media really is...and how much they yet control who runs and wins elections...Though the internet is bound to change that..the fact that they can pick and choose who to emphasize (and ignore) is dangerous...to democracy....and rather makes a joke of it.....

Ron Paul'08

Agreed

and welcome to the r3VOLution!

I'm tired of this "marijuana

I'm tired of this "marijuana smokers like him, that's what's driving it!" Wtf?! Marijuana? Who supports him specifically because of this issue?

Lots of people

I have convinced many friends to look into Ron Paul because of his stance on drugs, particularly weed. A couple have even become full converts, from socialists straight to capitalists. The War on Drugs is ridiculous and everyone can see it. Mentions there probably help more than you realize.

I agree with you

First of all, bringing the troops from Iraq home is the biggest issue for me and Dr. Paul is the only one who will do that and that is what initially won my enthusiastic support.

Having said that, I have told people for years that if I ever ran across a candidate who wanted to legalize marijuana and end the war on drugs, I would know that at long last, I had found an honest politician. I never in my wildest dreams thought he would be a serious contender for the presidency!

Why? Because it shows me that he is an honest and compassionate and caring person. Anyone who would deny sick, dying and stressed out people the relief pot brings them is not a person of the people. So yes, it is huge.

So refreshing...

To see Dr. Paul treated like a normal candidate for office, for a change.
