Daily Paul personality profiles?

Okay, I thinK it'd be cool if we found out what kind of personalities we've got here. I'm an INFJ/INTJ and I'm curious how many of us are INFJ because it's so rare. They say INFJ's make up 1-2% of the population. I'm also gay which means I'm a unicorn. Anyway, I'd like everyone to take the personality test and list their numbers and personality type. http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm

Understanding this kind of think has helped me to understand why I think the way I do. I recommend everyone take the test, especially young peoples. Either way it does help identify what you might be best at doing for the cause. For instance, as an INFJ, I'd be better off being the COUNSELOR of a political candidate, rather the candidate as I'm not an E. I hate dealing large groups of people. These tests seem legit to me as everyone I've tried this with it has pegged.

I am an

ENTJ. Just barely 2% of the population are that.

Me too?

But I am not sure if it is good or bad?LOL!

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

It is good I guess, but

Hillary Clinton is one of the famous ones like us. That is bad. But all of the personalities have a bad famous person like them.

I took one of these 10 years ago at work. I pretty much got the same results. Once again I scored 100 on thinking vs. feeling. Sometimes I worry about myself.

You don't have to worry

I took it twice in one day and got completely different results. =/

Interesting

I am INFP..

"I have found that being rich is not about having the most but about needing the least"

I found that

I would have answered the questions one way if I was thinking about 30 years younger, now I would answer most of those questions with an opposite answer.

Well, I would likely answer

questions in the morning different than in the afternoon. In the morning I feel like taking on the world my lunch it is dang I'm tired and looking for a nap. lol

Well, I did it twice. The first time I was an E something forgot the letters but Ronald Reagan was one of the famous people. The second time I am an INFP and Princess Diana is one of the famous people. So in the morning I am a Extrovert and in the evening I am a Introvert. hee,hee

Good points.

My results said to "report myself to the nearest fusion center at my earliest convenience", and not because they wanted to hire me......8)

hmm now

I am scared to take it LOL

I often think about the individual letters also.

It would be interesting to see how our spouses rated. I am and INFP and I married an ESTJ. Opposites attract? Between the two of us we have all types covered.

I was thinking today about how some arguments that are compelling to intuitives (N) might strike sensibles (S) as dreamy or unsubstantial.

After I carry on for a bit about the dreary prospects for the future, my son looks up from the engine he's working on and says, "What are you gong to do about it. All you do is whine and complain." A very sensible answer. So in a sorry attempt at being clever, I offered to "moan and swear!"

Aware that people have different temperaments how do we appeal to their need to be free without stealing their freedom by manipulation.

All the different types here at DP can potentially provide others with answers or at least clues on how to proceed on these campaigns for liberty.

I was just wondering about how to counteract the MSM noise and distractions. But why bother.

If we practice liberty in our speech and manner, if we practice being responsible, won't that make the noise become revealed as noise without our having to divert from our purpose of liberty and justice for all?

Oh Lady Q, what would we do without you? Princess Dianna huh. very interesting :-)

INFP

I’ve been watching this post all day. My father got into Myers-Briggs and Jungian psychology almost 20 years ago. He took courses and became a certified “tester” and everything. The online versions of the test are always truncated. Furthermore, the ability to score the test borders on art form as opposed to just crunching numbers.

My dad gave me the actual Myers-Briggs test about 15 years ago and scored it himself. He told me that if a computer had scored it I would have come out an ENFP. And that he (as my dad and all) would not have doubted that I was an giant “E” for one hot second, what with being around me a bunch and all. However, there are sneaky question on the real Myers-Briggs that rat you out for giving the answer you think people want to hear instead of what your preference really is. Guess what… I’m an Introvert.

They had told him in the classes to watch out for people like me. Because the rest of the world rewards extroverted behavior, a lot of introverts push themselves to be extroverted to reap societies rewards. NF s are especially prone to this “faking” of extroverted behavior. He explained the pros and cons of this tendency with a great baseball metaphor: It’s like being an ambidextrous baseball player. If the ball is coming at you real easy you can catch it with which ever hand makes the most sense, a plus. The faster the ball comes at you the more you have to think about it and your reaction time is slower. If it comes too fast you might get hit between the eyes because you couldn’t figure out quick enough if you should use instinct or learned behavior.

Bless my daddy’s heart, he was concerned about me stressing myself by not being “my authentic self” which is funny because he is an ESTJ, the antithesis of my touchy feely INFP. “Authentic self” wasn’t something my father would have thought about before learning about Myers-Briggs.

The Introvert/Extrovert issue isn’t as simple as shy vs. outgoing. It is actually quite complex. (If you have several hours to set aside I’ll put you in touch with my Dad because he LOVES to talk about Jungian psychology with anyone who will listen.) Older, wiser (maybe) and having read about the different types I stopped trying to make myself something I wasn’t. I’m happier and I understand myself better than I did before.

Jung’s work and its off shoots are very interesting and insightful. I wish more people were exposed to his ideas.

In so far as liberty and psychology…

I happen to believe that Behaviorism is the root of all evil. I’m sure a few of you here recognize the names BF Skinner and John Watson. So much of human behavior that we lament today is the direct fruit of their labor, and like an onion it has layers. Read the section here: http://instruct.westvalley.edu/lafave/FREE.HTM on Hard Determinism and what Skinner has to say about free will.

Now go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Jung and read the section on Jung’s political views. (sorry, wiki was the only place I could find that did a relevant to my point “nut shell” )

Great post izbnso...

I would have known you were a kindred spirit if you had never said anything. I think Belle and myself are both prime examples of being able to pull off the "extravert" trait because we have that NF quality. I know exactly what you mean about struggling to be your "authentic self". It is the life's struggle for the INFP... I only recently began tapping into my "creative" side through web design and graphic work... I had been a frustrated counselor in the mental health system overwhelmed by bureaucracy and paperwork until I couldn't take it anymore (always blaming myself of course)...

I now am an independent contractor teaching substance abuse recovery classes. I teach the 12 Steps and stress that recovery is more about "position" on the Positive/Negative energy continuum than about behavioral change. I employ a lot of martial arts and eastern pholosophy which provides a better understanding of "surrender" and discipline with less emphasis on controlling one's behavior... I have learned a great deal from Dr. Paul's understanding of Liberty and it has helped me tremendously in both my personal life and my own world veiw.

I feel like I have found a home here on the DP, and as you know, we INFP's have very few true friends. We should start our own thread!

Great post, thanks!

Apparently Skinner was never able to free himself from his own nature. Liberty never became real for him. To have never have had a free will, it's a pity.

I don't know how long this thread will last, but I would welcome you daddy's comments here on DP.

INFJ

Interesting stuff. Always questions that are difficult to answer yes or no.

After looking after all of the information about INFJs I have to say I am impressed. It fits me almost to a T. Wow.

Hey Belle!

Feelin' the love! I've been reading your posts and occasionally throwing in my two cents... I really got disillusioned back during the Medina campaign when I realized that most of the "tea partiers" were LINO's (Libertarian....) but I've regrouped and am ready for the next round...

Hope you are well and back in the fight as well... it appears so... much love back to you...

Another INTJ personality

There is a great book out by David Keirsey and Marilyn Bates of Cal State on this test entitled, "Please Understand Me". Keirsy adopted these psychological/personality types of Jung and the pioneering methods of Myers in 1955 and adapted his clinical practice to the Jung-Myers typology. It's a great book which describes the 16 personality types in detail and encourages appreciation of others without trying to "chisel" everyone to our own set pattern.

Bump recommend also

totally wrong analysis

# E – Extraversion preferred to introversion: ENTJs often feel motivated by their interaction with people. They tend to enjoy a wide circle of acquaintances, and they gain energy in social situations (whereas introverts expend energy).[6]

i know for a dead fact that i get exhausted socializing with people and i always find some place to be quiet afterward

i however, on some levels, do treat maintaining relationships as a necessary part of future career or safeguard for times when you really need help (most real life friends i know have masters or doctorates and 1/3 went to ivy league)

but i suppose this is the best a simple minded test can achieve

ISTJ

I would have made a great neocon.

Yet another INTJ here...

...along with Stephen Hawking, Marie Curie, Igor Sikorsky, and Hillary Clinton apparently. Shouldn't our natural affinity have led us to support Hillary Rodham Clinton Barr Arnold Decker Slaney Tabb Walker Bush.. except she's eeeee-vil. Or perhaps I'm just being judgmental.

And, no surprise, the predominant common factor among us seems to be the "Thinker" aspect of our personae.
