No More Alcohol In My Life!

After many days of looking in depth at my life my lifestyle choices I decided to abandon my drinking ways.

No more organic beer or for that matter any kind of alcohol intake for me.

Thank you Michael Nystrom my wonderful friend for being instrumental in this choice this path I am taking.

I want the whole patriot community on Daily Paul to know how much I love you all.

Each and every one of you.

Keep me in your prayers I need your support and I need to face you every day being sober and strong...

I do not want to be depressed and lethargic because alcohol is flowing in my veins and affects my heart beat and my activism in our sacred struggle for Liberty.

Here I say it out loud -- hope some of you with a similar addiction/s join me.

Love Liberty Peace!

I notice that you spoke in first person.

I noticed that you did not give commands.

When someone tells me, "You must do this." or "You must do that." That "You" word is poison. I resist and resent being told what to do. It's a conversation stopper not a dialog starter.

The information was correct. I might let it pass if someone had passed through the hell of alcoholism so that it reflected their personal knowledge. Even then...

I don't know ATPs reasoning.

Free includes debt-free!

Plus the liberty message needs to go everywhere.

It's something to offer for what one receives.

Is something missing in your story?

Free includes debt-free!

That is not the point of AA.

It is about getting honest with yourself first and foremost. He is not going there to save others, he is going there to save himself.

If the "liberty message" gets in there at some point, then that is a bonus, but is not the focus.

It is not an untapped canvassing ground, it is a place where fellow alcoholics can be there for support.

It is a selfish act at first. It was a selfish act for everyone that attended there at first. Once a person gets some sobriety, and some insight and personal strength, then they can reach out and help others.

You are putting the cart before the horse.

Nothing is missing from my story, that I can think of.

Have no fear.

I'll drink your beer.

:)

Enjoy your time on the wagon.

Bless you man.

I am jealous, honestly. I read your post on NYE and i really took it to heart. I even gave up drinking that night and still had a fun time. My biggest problem is the Anxiety of how screwed up a world i live in.. comes cashing back down like a brick wall and somehow a strong drink to punish myself makes me feel better.
Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and I'll be stronger.
Thanks for the inspiration

fortune favors the bold

good think I come back to see what is posted here...

Thank you -- makes me so happy my post is helping others make positive changes...

it is ok to be stressed depressed it is natural
but to tell you the truth I stopped craving for the drink when I saw people fall down on the sidewalk and vomit on New Years Eve...just one of many examples showing me that I am better off sober and having more much more energy for activism.

We have to be strong in this fight.

Way to go Legalize! Don't forget to take some good B vitamins.

It is known that they get used up quickly by alcohol. If you are deficient in them I believe it can cause or contribute to lethargy, tiredness and depressed feeling.

Awesome

. I so admire a man who will make this decision, especially when it goes against his preferences.

yes i agree with ur choice.

yes i agree with ur choice. cannabis on the other hand...?

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

F.O.B. here

Hope to see you in the rooms. :-)

Congratulations

Congrats LegalizeLiberty.

I rarely drink, sometimes going for months on end. Been getting into Sam Adams lately because I have been curious about the craft since even our founding fathers did it. Maybe start doing some home brews when I own my own place. Not really to get "drunk" or even buzzed. But from the standpoint of creating something like I do with baking bread.

Its really nice to have the Liberty to choose what we do with ourselves.

Thank you

I said to myself even in the unlikely event that someone offerts to give me for free a tanker truck full of the best organic beer in the world -- I will kindly refuse to take it.

you will do fine with the

you will do fine with the temptation. Your heart is in the right place for it.

Never noticed the Norman V Peale qoute, never knew he was a Liberty lover. Always enjoyed his books.

God bless you LL!

Somehow in my life this choice was made for me and not by me. My husband and I did a liver detox as part of a health program and immediately after that I could literally no longer tolerate any alcohol. It tasted like poison. I had no intention to stop drinking by my body just had enough I guess. Well that was in June so now it has been several months and I am so thankful. I really enjoyed drinking a lot. There are a few rough spots now and then but with great challenges comes great rewards. May God help you both physically and soulfully to engage life with as few filters as possible. Let us see the world as it is and have our full faculties to fight the good fight. My prayers are for you today. With peace and blessings into 2011. Thank you for all you do and who you are.

Thank you for your wonderful support

yeah to continue to fight the good fight I had to take this step.

My body kind of told me in similar ways to stop.
It told me by being sleepy in the mornings tired lethargic...I found myself sleeping till noon on a few days last month and I was very upset not doing my activism the way it was done before...

many blessings to you & Thank you for uplifting me.

The NWO had better watch out.

Without the impediment of an anasthetic drug in your system (alcohol), you'll be even more effective than you already have been in fighting for liberty causes.

One of the things you sometimes alluded to in your posts was romantic unhappiness. That's another area of life where being off the sauce will help.

Very good points

Two great points not sure which one is more important beating the NWO or the other one lol

Thanks so much Brit

You know where the strength for this comes from.

God bless you, LL.

As I have enjoyed during this Christmas week loads of Gluhwein (made ourselves), blackberry cordial made this summer from wild blackberries, Polish potato vodka, and organic cane sugar, eggnog (raw milk, pastured eggs, spiced rum), lots of wine, and cocktails at a landmark Seattle hotel after Christmas Day Vespers, I have reflected on how glad I am that I can enjoy this and just as happily never touch it.

I have also reflected on the very real possibility that this is the last time in a long time that such enjoyment may be possible for purely monetary reasons.

You have your DP family to support you, many of whom you communicate with privately, you have WHG there in TO, and you have the source of all strength.

You go man!

Hey LL, We've chatted

Hey LL,
We've chatted about this some over the past months, and I'm really glad to hear of your decision. I have several years of sobriety and it's the best thing I ever did. What I discovered was that, at least for me, it was never about alcohol or drugs, it was about the internal emotional stuff that drove me to seek an escape from reality. Now that I've dealt with all that... slayed all the demons, so to speak... I'm free of it all, and no longer have anything to run from or fear. It's a great freedom, and now I want to be as in touch with reality as possible. Best of luck, and let me know if I can ever help you in any way.

Peace my brother~

Truth is treason in an empire of lies.

wonderful...

not sure if you know I have a link to your music on my website here:

same here I looked at beer as something that gives me temporary way of escape from different things...there are other ways to deal with reality ways of activism long walks proper eating habits and just joy of being sober evening and morning having lots of energy once again.

Peace Brother*))

Chlorella will help clean your body !

Add a combo of Celantro and Chlorella in big amounts to your diet ASAP. This will cleanse your liver of not only the Alcohol but, also any heavy metals from your body. The combo is the key. Celantro brings out the toxins from there hiding place and Chlorella is the absorbing agent. You can get a pound of Chlorella on line at www.Znaturalfoods.com. Take two heaping spoons a day in water. Get the split cell variety. Not the tastiest stuff but, grin and bear it as it is the best way to purify your meat suit. Good luck and bless you brother !!!!

Cilantro

and chlorella can give you a whopper of a headache.

You'll have more friends if you do it the chlorella way

But hey whatever works and keeps you healthy. Chlorella is magic super food.

Been sober

for over 11 years now. The best decision I ever made. Alcohol made me unproductive, clumsy and down right sick at the end anyway.

*remember you didn't really quit drinking, you made a choice to laugh and enjoy things without alcohol....

11 years ...wonderful

I will take your words to heart.

Thank you.
