No More Alcohol In My Life!

After many days of looking in depth at my life my lifestyle choices I decided to abandon my drinking ways.

No more organic beer or for that matter any kind of alcohol intake for me.

Thank you Michael Nystrom my wonderful friend for being instrumental in this choice this path I am taking.

I want the whole patriot community on Daily Paul to know how much I love you all.

Each and every one of you.

Keep me in your prayers I need your support and I need to face you every day being sober and strong...

I do not want to be depressed and lethargic because alcohol is flowing in my veins and affects my heart beat and my activism in our sacred struggle for Liberty.

Here I say it out loud -- hope some of you with a similar addiction/s join me.

Love Liberty Peace!

Tom - the opposition wants us to stray towards stress...

...but we are better than that. Keep up the good work and I look forward to someday being side by side with you. It is frustrating at times but we are stronger. We have the momentum. Peace/Love Man. You have taught me A LOT! Thank you for being there for me.

Congratulations!

Very positive goal.
We all need you healthy and alert.
And I need to lose about 25 pounds and exercise more.
Good luck and best wishes for your coming year.

Dearest Tom,

I am glad that you have made this decision.

I know it is going to be tough - especially in the beginning. I hope that you are not doing this alone and have support.

And always remember that we are here for you. We are all your family.

Lots of love to you Tom.

Ron Paul is My President

I can feel so many love vibes from you Sunny

I have a good friend here who supports me...the first 4 weeks are the key...

I feel my body already has no craving for alcohol
basically I removed toxins ate lots of raw veggies lots of onions...drunk lots of fluids water the most important and I feel terrific...btw again this morning walked 5 miles yesterday and the day before 10 miles each day.

Big cyber hug flowing your way to the east coast*))

I guess my Resolution is

too stop sacrificing excercise for intellectual development.

I'm over 40 now -- I'm probably not going to get any smarter; I have a good foundation and feel a bit of intellectual indigestion.

I will bike and hike more this year than last, drink lots of water, and take 24 deep outdoor breaths per day - doubling that by summer.

I'd like to learn a new hobby this year -- maybe gunsmithing or wood work.

my friend

I just turned 44 and to tell you the truth I never owned a car -- walking everywhere -- this morning 5 miles yesterday same story
it not just keeps me in great shape but calms me down relaxes me.
So in the city walking is the thing to do and in the country hiking and camping is great as long as the weather allows...I remember camping in the mountains with 5 inches of snow covering my tent and it felt great!

Thanks & Awesome 2011 to you!

We are like ying-yang

I quit drinking and smoking back in '92 while you kept hiking, smile.

We can sponsor each other :-)

I love hiking -- I find the green and trees to be stimulating to the mind and spirit.

I live in Nor Cal area and we are very fortunate; we have big hills and lots of green (clear skys).

I'll visualize your lungs and liver as clean and powerful; that your body is full of light, and your mind as right as rain.

Health-Speed to you

Love those tall trees in your area...

I spend 16 years in Vancouver BC area by the ocean lots of trees huge ancient forests....yes my lungs are very powerful and as they say air is the most important food for our body...brain...

enjoy your day!

Last year was a really rough year but Ive laid out a bright future and asked my main squeeze to be my girl last night. Im anxious to see how 2011 turns out. We gotta get Paul into the White House.

Good luck brother!

Good for you L.L. I quit

Good for you L.L.

I quit drinking almost 5 years ago when I married my wife. Used to be the guy who had to try and put away a twelve pack after work every night and who knows what on the weekend. I knew I could never be a good husband to her that way and the appetite for alcohol just faded away. There is still beer in the house we use to make bread with, and some rum and vodka, but I simply won't touch it. I've never felt better in my life. No drink, No tobacco, No smoke of any kind. Just a pot of coffee, my Daily Paul, and my family's love are all I need these days.

Good luck to you!

Cheers!

If I may

Get rid of the temptations, get rid of the old friends. Go places where alcohol isn't available and do not allow yourself to slide. Get a buddy who has beaten alcoholism if necessary (remember you remain an alcoholic, even when you don't drink because of addiction personality). I'd wish you "good luck", but luck has nothing to do with it. This kind of change only comes from you.

I was a different kind of drinker

Loved to drink alone by the computer or in a park...

only one really good friend here in the city I live and he respects my choice.

Thank you
Awesome 2011 to you!

I have never had a drink of alcohol in my life or done any drugs. I need to cut down on some of the junk food and eat more fresh food.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

That was damn funny!!!!! I guess we are going to hell because we have a sense of humor about life. We only live once and I say..... "letter rip"!

best wishes in your new year

Best way is to avoid alcohol all together, but if you feel at some point that you may take a drink, don't do it.instead grab a non alchohol beer,it does have a trace amount in it,so it is not a good idea for most people. But it did work for me.one year now with no regular beer.

good points

Thank you.

I plan to stick with herbal teas coffee...those in the past acted well to remove the cravings for beer.

btw you are doing well...I lasted 2 weeks to 8 months in the last 10 years -- this time will be different.

Hello

Twice in the past few months i have woken up before the sunrise and vomited blood because i had consumed alcohol the night before. The first time that it happened, i was scared and went to the doctor the next day, and they said, yea well that just happens sometimes. Then i cut back for a few weeks, but i started drinking again a few days ago.

Then it happened again. I generally don't like "new years resolutions" because they seem phony when most people make them. So, although i am not quitting just because the number on the calendar changed, i will be attempting to quit drinking coincidentally on January 1 out of a desire to never suffer such terrible pain ever again. Good luck to you and i hope that you stick with it.

Thank you so much

We are in the same boat my friend -- be strong!
Good luck to us in our good fight to set ourselves truly free from this illness.

I took certain steps

to have the first 4 weeks smooth sailing I took certain steps such as buying food for several months and after paying rent and so on I am left with 5$ and it feels good...

That video was very funny -- Thanks for a hearty laugh.
