yes, there is a massive influx of LGBT community coming into the RON PAUL campaign RIGHT NOW!
In CA, FL, AZ, Arkansas where bills were voted down granting our people the right to marry.
its on, we have our boxing gloves on and are going to come out swinging.

We're not your "Log Cabin" types either, we're the OUT & PROUD, well educated & organized groups of community leaders, movers & shakers ready to stand up or be knocked down in our last gasps.

Many have already chose to begin leaving the USA all together!

That is sad when our most creative people are leaving in search of fairness & equality abroad. The country needs to recognize no one will be left if we keep electing leaders who are more interested in legislating their brand of "morality" on those who posses divergent views.
That's NOT my America.
Shame on those who choose to segregate rather than UNITE.

look for our events to be staged to increase awareness of the Amendment # 2, we only need 63,000 + registered voters in FL to sign a petition to open up Amendment # 2. That is the easy part.

They ran an article regarding the Log Cabin Republicans in Dallas supporting Rudy...ok. But then the article went on to talk about Mitt, Fred, Huckabee and McCain...NO mention of Ron one way or the other. So here was my "letter to the editor"...

I am not going to condemn anyone for their political choice or leanings. The fact that people are taking an interest in their government and elected officials should be something applauded, no matter what our individual and/or personal views.

However, I noted in last week's article regarding the endorsement of Rudy Giuliani by the Dallas Log Cabin Republicans that while the various other candidates were addressed, one was conspicuously omitted-- Ron Paul, a 20-year Republican Texas Congressman running for President of the United States.

How anyone cannot take this man seriously after all the various debates, record GOP fundraising from grassroots supporters, phenomenal internet popularity and a command of the issues themselves is a mystery to me, yet it would seem that your publication has fallen into the same trap as much of the mainstream media. I would therefore like to offer some points for consideration omitted in last week's article for your readers.

Regardless of whether you are a gay-American, African-American, Asian-American, etc, I would like to think that the word "American" takes precedence over any and all other labels for this discussion. I would also like to think that more of a "big picture" would be taken into consideration regarding the true issues, critical issues, facing our country and we as Americans collectively.

What difference does it make if the right to gay marriage is won, but yet your partner is called into active service overseas for years at a time, possibly never to return home alive? What difference also does it make if you receive equal rights for property ownership and after-death benefits if the dollars you and your partner have worked so hard for contiually are being devalued on the world market? Additionally, what difference does it make if you win all the rights of a domestic partnership, yet lose all of your individual liberties of speech, privacy and due process? These are a few of the reasons I support Ron Paul for President, a man with a 20-year track record of consistent voting in Congress, one who is pro-peace, pro-fiscal control, pro-personal liberties and pro-Constitution.

I think gay Americans need to take a look at this "big picture" going into the next election. There are issues, very serious issues, that are being looked over in lieu of that which sounds pleasing to the ear. By all means, support the candidate you feel best-equipped to lead our country, but do so with a sense of the collective, that which benefits all who fall under the banner of "We The People."

you guys want to bitch and moan about every single little detail in the campaign and you really need to knock it off. someone says something that you don't agree with and you guys call them trolls and blah blah blah. the WHOLE POINT of this campaign is that people are different but we support their right to be. if you want some "conform to my way of thinking" platform, go jump on the huckabee platform because that's what he's all about. as far as the gays, i'm not personally gay, but i do have homosexual friends and their all about RP because he said he wants to let them get married, that it's a church issue, not a federal one. which is a huge lead for him, because most of the candidates say no gay marriage or their for "civil unions". RP says if there's a church that will marry them, have at it, not the governments business. and that is HUGE in the gay community. you guys need to start getting the word out. I might hit up a couple of gay bars here in houston to put the word out. NE 1 wanna go?

I have been telling people on Fark.com that I'm gay and a Ron Paul supporter.

To the person that said "this is what Ron Paul is against," don't put words in the Doctor's mouth. He's for liberty and personal freedom.

If you need more convincing, look up what Barry Goldwater (Sr.) said about Gays before the religious right took over the republican party. To sum it up, it was basically: "who cares?!"
