The best part was when Beck brought up the 9/11 stuff. There are some people out there that i have been trying to convince of Dr. Paul's message but always "no way!" b/c the truthers were all supporting him. i'm very glad that Dr. Paul finally cleared the air on this. Dr. Paul is now a real contender!!

We need to keep 9/11 separate from Dr Paul
We don't know what happened on 9/11 and can't really prove too much. Keeping up pressure for a proper investigation is the best that we can do.
We need to campaign on the virtues of Dr Paul...not our concerns about the coincidences of 9/11. Media figures know that if they are identified as 9/11 truthers, they will lose their jobs overnight. The reality is that they must publicly distance themselves from 9/11 truthing....or be fired and slandered.
I don't like it but we have to play the game to an extent. We aren't close to being big enough to rewrite the rules. Let us not give them more ammunition when they are searching hard for anything they can twist to manipulate the minds of the public.

BECK: "You had me at 'hello'!" Yeah, I'd say it went a lot better than expected. This was a good 'counter' to earlier when CNN (I think) asked for ONE WORD answers to questions. I had no idea what kind of journalism that was. Beck at least gave RP time and didn't interrupt his answers.

He hammered Ghouliani and Romney. I doubt he'll be any easier on Ron. I bet the subject of the ghostwritten newsletters comes up. Hope he gets plenty of sleep beforehand and has an answer prepared for that. Tim Russert was respectful and Ron Paul did just fine. Maybe he will throw a curveball this time, but our candidate, unlike any of the others, is squeaky clean. The difference between Russert and Beck is Russert is unlikely to resort to dirty tricks and yellow journalism just for ratings.

Was it as a presidential candidate? If so, that is good news. Although, Ron has a slightly larger "kick me" sign scotch-taped to his back as of late due to his rising prominence. It may make a difference in Russerts approach. I don't mind him being asked tough questions really, as long as they are fair and not the "so when did you stop beating your wife?" types of questions. But as you say, yellow journalism is most likely not something he would be tossing around with his stature in the media. Haven't checked the CFR roles for his name lately. If his name is on the list, all bets are off. I wonder what CFR member Steponallofus will say on his show this coming Sunday? He'll have to mention Ron as he will be the leading fundraiser out of all the candidates. I wish I could ask him how he likes his crow prepared. Fried, broiled or raw with the feathers still intact? Perhaps even fresh off the grill.

I was so surprised to see that they had finally accepted the interview. I actually sent an email to them a few days ago trying to convince them to do this and I got a response a few hours later basically saying they would keep my suggestion. The next day I checked this site and saw that they accepted it. I doubt that I was the reason they accepted it but I thought that was kind of funny because didn't Glenn Beck offer this interview a long time ago?

An excellent interview! Glenn Beck deserves our highest commendation for this respectful and informative interview. I am glad that Ron Paul was able to clear the air on the 9/11 stuff that's been circulating among some of his supporters because, like it or not, people end up attaching the 9/11 theories to Ron Paul because of these supporters. And what's with the death threats?! Shame, shame, shame on those who would perpetuate anything of the sort - SHAME!

That is just silly. People in the public eye, especially those who tend to run off at the mouth the way Beck does, get death threats all the time. I think he brought the Dr. on because of the pressure placed on him by Dr. Paul supporters during his public appearances. That, and the fact that his ratings went thru the roof for an evening.

How do you think I felt when Glenn Beck implied I was a terrorist because I support Ron Paul? Do you know what the government is authorized to DO to terrorists in this country? I appreciate your opinion and don't necessarily disagree with you. But we DO need to keep this kind of talk out of the Ron Paul campaign as this does nothing but discourage potential voters.
Want to bitch about 9/11 being an inside job? Want to demand that the government turn over info about building 7? Fine. But please wait until AFTER Ron Paul has been elected to start being vocal about this stuff. Don't do it now when potential votes could be lost. If you really want closure to 9/11 help get an individual in office that will come clean with those issues instead of driving people to the campaigns of individuals who WON'T come clean about 9/11.
