Let's not be premature

Before we christen Ron Paul's appearance on Glenn Beck's show as an astounding success, let's take a look at this: http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/017858.html

It had to be said. The questions had to be answered
I disagree with Lee Rockwell on this.
He was given ample time to completely separate himself from these wacky fringe elements. He's got nothing to do with this crap. And now everybody knows. Bookmark those youtube clips. They will answer a lot of doubter's questions.
Beck gave him a golden opportunity, on purpose.
I believe this was the fairest, most comprehensive interview to date.

Give me a break...
I now understand why Dr. Paul was reluctant to go on, since this is no doubt the type of info being given to him. I love most things posted at and by Lew Rockwell, but the above was insane and lacked logic and reason beyond understanding.
Respect for the Revolution? Yeah, since when has that stopped any pundit from ripping us to shreds?
As far as the last bit, that was NOT a hit, it was an obvious effort to give Ron Paul a chance to deflect attacks that we hear everday!
As far as mentioning the death threat, that was obvious. Beck is self involved, would never apologize, and wanted to justify and explain to some degree why he did the terrorist segment, WITHOUT apololgizing (which he would never do).
I, honestly, understand that a few people here would react badly no matter how positive it was but I am shocked and a little disturbed to hear this coming from Lew Rockwell.
As my Grandad used to use, "You'd cry if you had spit in your ice cream." In case you aren't old enough to understand that reference, give it another 5-10 years into our current economy and you'll understand that saying perfectly!

Why?
If you saw the show, form your own opinion.
If you didn't see it, it would be foolish to accept someone else's opinion as your own.
What's the take-away?
Let's make it about the income tax and spending, not the 9-11 conspiracy pop quiz. Most of the show was devoted to the relationship among taxes, spending and freedom.
I'm no fan of Beck
I really don't like him but I think he was fair (mostly) in this interview and we ought to be concerned about what they do now not what they have done or would like to do or secretly think. The goal is good publicity/exposure for Dr. Paul.
If he starts calling us terrorists again, by all means give him a pasting but otherwise I think we should lay off him for now. I love LRC but I do think they can be a bit ummm, rigid sometimes. Just my opinion.
"What does conservatism today stand for? It stands for war. It stands for power. It stands for spying, jailing without trial, torture, counterfeiting without limit, and lying from morning to night."
Lew Rockwell
Whether it was Glenn Beck's
Whether it was Glenn Beck's intention or not, he made Ron Paul look good. So for me it's either "thank you Glenn Beck for making Ron Paul look good for 1 hour on national television" or "thank you Glenn Beck for failing to smear Ron Paul and making him look good for 1 hour on national television"...
win/win, regardless of the claims that Lew Rockwell makes. It could have been much, much worse.
