Do you know someone concerned about Israel?
Submitted by yakamoz on Wed, 12/19/2007 - 05:54Many Christians are reluctant to support Ron Paul and his foreign policy because they are afraid to remove financial support from Israel. This is an excellent radio interview to send to them:
http://69.65.26.137/~ronpaula/RonPaulWOWFMradioInterviewIowa...
The interview covers many issues, Israel being only one of them. This is one of the nicest interviews I've heard yet in terms of demonstrating how our policies of foreign aid *hurt* Israel more than help them.

For those who support US Aid to Israel..
you may need to do a little research to understad WHAT they are doing with the Billions of US Tax Payer $$ they are given each year. for example they just got $30 billion from us at same timne child health care bill was vetoed. the Right wing Zionist Govt. of Israel has the same agenda as the NeoCon gov of the US. NOw you need to be able to seperate the Israeli population from the govt. as most of them are Nice peace loving people, just like not all Americans are warmonger NeoCon's. Israel is NOT a poor nation so they can & Should take care of them selves! Here are a few links to help you understand what Israel is up to and how we, by proxie, support & fund it.

Be sure to also read the comments that follow the article. A real eye-opener.
Who Cares?
Israel is a very small country containing a relatively small number of people. I should read about Israel (in my newspapers) less often than I should see an article about France or Portugal. If some soldier from Botswana is killed, it is as important as some Israeli soldier being killed.
Israel, Israel, Israel. There is no less unimportant piece of real estate on earth. I am sick and tired of hearing about Israel, the Jews, the so-called Holocaust, etc. We are SOAKED in this Zionist propaganda because almost every single American newspaper, magazine, and television network is owned by a Zionist. Notice I did not say "owned by a Jew."
Enough with Israel, already. I am concerned with MY country, my friends, my family. NO MORE American arms, money, or blood for Israel. NONE. No wars for Israel.
my 02 cents worth
I too come from the same line of thinking as spyderhead... I am A Christian and I fully support Isreal.. Dr. Paul has it right.. Isreal would be much better off if we were to get out of their internal affairs and let them handle themselves! As far as the the murders of 6 million jews in Germany.. its time to get over it! Stalin murdered 20 million of his countrymen. The Chinese, etc are also mass murderers of Millions more..
A Jewish person's life is no more precious than any other humanbeings life.. there have been many more millions killed by other worse or just as worse tyrants as Hitler! GET OVER IT!

So Called?
TROLL! Trying to associate Dr. Paul with holocaust deniers.
So-called Holocaust...?
Excuse me...???? Do we have a problem with historical facts? Does our nose get a little of joint at any mention of something Jewish? Something Black...something Asian...
Oh, I get it! You're just one of those trolls of the extreme right-wing variety. I thought you sounded different from all the extreme lefties that have infiltrated this campaign!
Give it a Rest, OK?
Nope. Not a klansman here. I've supported Dr. Paul for over twenty years (probably longer than you're been reading, walking, and changing your own clothes). I have a problem with all "historical" facts until they are verified as historical facts. ALL history is in need of constant investigation and revision when necessary.
Obviously in supporting Paul...
You never learned how to debate and discuss issues. Worrying about America is one thing, but making anti-semitic comments don't do much for your credibility.
You can make a point without sounding like a hateful ass.
"Make fun buddy..." - Ron Paul
Not "anti-semitic"
Anti-Zionist, yes; anti-Semitic, no. The two are not equal. Anyway, like I posted below, have a wonderful Christmas. I am off this topic. Sorry I was misunderstood.
holocaust facts
roughly 2/3 of my family was killed in the Holocaust. It's safe to say that 2/3 of the 9 Million Jews in Europe were also killed. verifiability 60 years later is not possible, be agnostic if you want, but the "so-called" modifier is just asinine.
Have a Merry Christmas, guys (and gals)
OK, folks. None of this is relevant to electing Dr. Paul. We each have his/her reasons for supporting Dr. Paul. Have a wonderful Christmas.
you too dude
don't want to cause trouble, just avoid bad rhetoric :)
have a good time with your family this Christmas.
I Leave for Israel tomorrow
I'm gonna miss out on two weeks of Ron Paul news, but I'm leaving to go to Israel.
Americans think that Government money helps Israel because Americans think their Government is an infallible body. Truth is, our government provides a minimal support to Israel in the form of weapons coupons to support our own military industry. The majority of American support to Israel is through our branches of Intel and IBM in Tel Aviv and going there on vacation.
If many Christians think Ron Paul is bad for Israel, just tell them they can REALLY help Israel by planning a vacation with the taxes they'd save.
One of my Best Friends
Is an Orthodox Jew and lives in a Yeshiva in NY right now. His mother was born in Israel and he has Many Israeli friends and he lived there himself for 2 years. I have had this conversation with him and I can assure you that these guys are more than capable of taking care of themselves and are all too willing. He is not afraid of us dropping our Monetary support of Israel, although he has no problem with us giving it to them currently. (I find this to be rather dispicable, but that is another argument).
He admits that Israel is THE military Power in the region with No comperable rivals. From my conversations with him I believe that the reason the US has been holding them back is so that they do not go on the Offensive.
I thought it was a great
I thought it was a great reply to the Israel section of the interview last night. I always know RP's going to knock it out of the park when that question arises, because he makes so much sense out of the issue.

I wish Christians would read their BIBLE
Any Christian who believes that it is America’s job to protect Israel; is not reading their Bible.
The Bible states that God will always protect Israel.
As a Christian myself it baffles me when I hear Christians say that the USA is needed in Israel.
If Christians believe God is powerful and can do all things than why do they not believe that God can take care of Israel by Himself?
Why do Christians believe Israel needs our help considering we can’t seem to take care of ourselves?
Exactly!
Very good post... my thoughts too!

I was going to go there...
But decided not to. Even though I believe it and you believe it, doesn't mean everyone believes it.
But everyone ought to know that free trade is the way to prosperity for all parties involved. Unless of course you rely on subsidies. Or tax perks. Or a government sanctioned monopoly. Then maybe it's not so good for you...
Merry Christmas!
Finally someone speaks
Finally someone speaks truth! Amen friend. Of all the people on the face of this earth who should not just "feel" comfortable, but actually be content and secure in israel's safety, it should be christians.
Instead, they run around filled with fear and panic. Good grief! We are in serious trouble. :(
Support for Israel
Wonderful commentary on U.S. relationship with Israel from former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter:
http://www.antiwar.com/orig/ritter.php?articleid=12064.
Israel has and always will look to her own interests when making foreign policy decisions. We just need to do the same.
just a reminder
of the reason I posted this--not to spark debate between us, but rather to remind us that many of Huckabee's supporters love Israel and don't understand how our currently policies *hurt* Israel. Ron Paul acknowledges Israel's right to exist and believes we need to stop funding Israel's enemies. He believes that we restrain Israel from defending herself properly.
Many Christians (and I am one of them) take God's word seriously when he speaks to Abraham about the Jewish race to come, "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse." This is the belief that many evangelicals hold, which is why they are reluctant to elect a president who says he will remove support from Israel. These individuals need to be gently taught about how removing foreign aid to all nations will be a blessing to Israel. They need to be shown how our current foreign aid policies supply money to those who would and do curse Israel.
The beauty of Ron Paul's freedom message is that people who love Israel can support Ron Paul knowing that he supports Israel's right to exist and would implement policies that DO NOT give money to Israel's enemies who want to destroy her, while those who couldn't give a rip about Israel (or who have very negative views of Israel) can support a man who will no longer send your hard-earned dollars to this country.
Again, more evidence that Ron Paul's message is one that can reunite we the people.
The voicing of Israel-is-a-drain, we need to get-this-monkey-off-our-back opinions (as free as you are to hold those opinions), are not going to win over many Huckabee supporters, and getting many of those Huckabee supporters on our side was my main goal in posting the link to the radio interview. Some of these potential supporters we are trying to win over would not be fond of Glenn Beck's show, particularly his french kiss comment. The link I posted explains his position on Israel very clearly, and the interviewer is an obvious Ron Paul supporter.
Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.
The Thirteenth Tribe
To equate the modern political entity - Zionist Israel - with the ancient Israel of the Bible is ludicrous. To equate modern so-called "Jews" with ancient Israelites is equally absurd. Arthur Koestler's book, "The Thirteenth Tribe", is a good place to start de-programming yourself from Zionist lies. Much of modern so-called "Christianity" has been corrupted by Zionist influence. I oftentimes wonder if what passes for Christianity in the USA is nothing more than a materialistic version of a materialistic religion: "Judaism" (with of course a little silver cross dangling from its neck) to allow for the Falwells, Robertsons, and Huckleberrys to make a living.
Thanks a million
Paul's a uniter not a divider, just look at the diversity of all of us! I (for the record) take God's word seriously too, on this issue Romans 11 is particularily helpful.
But that man should play the tyrant over God, and find Him a better man than himself, is astonishing drama indeed!~~D. Sayers

The French kiss comment
Was Glenn, trying desperately to be Howard Stern because that gets ratings. :)
But I must admit, even with the threat-stupidity & troofer-nonsense, the interview went surprisingly-well. If Dr. Paul ever gets on Howard's show, I hope Howard's doubters feel like this Beck-doubter feels today.

Israel? Whats an Israel?

Whats an Israel?
No more American blood or
No more American blood or money for any other nations until we fix our own problems at home. I don't see other countries rushing to our aid. We need to get out of all of the treaties, bargains and swindles that are killing our people and striping us of our wealth and sovereignty.
Restore the Republic! RP2008

I support this comment 100%.
coddeling anyone
i think the non isolationist title means we cant be faith based wackos saying they cant protect them selves, and piss of thousands of Muslims. remember bias media in account. the main reason out relation with Israel brings hostility is because since 1967 USA pays 50% of israels BUDGET. while sadam starves em we sent bomb em.
Not an isolationist...
I'm a Christian, and I support Dr. Paul's foreign policies fully.
He is for fair trade, open relations, and cooperation between nations. How in the world is that bad for Isreal or any other country for that matter?
