Open Letter to the Republican Party
I received a a copy of this letter from my dear friend Scott and thought it should be shared far and wide. It is already posted at www.ronapulfreedomtrain.com/forum . There you will need to scroll down past the Glen Beck video. If you likewise feel this is of value, share it with all your Republican friends. M. Raborn
An Open Letter to the Republican Party
Scott Mitchell
As a registered Independent conservative, I have almost always voted for Republican candidates and championed the party platform. I have for years heard our Republican leaders give flowery speeches about our Founders, our Christian Heritage, our Constitution and the rule of law as they pledged allegiance to the flag with tears in their eyes. They even emphasize "one nation under God" without the comma to show how sincere they were. I bought into this charade long enough. It's time to put up or shut up!
The one Republican candidate that truly believes in following our Founders' vision is being scorned by the party as being crazy and anachronistic. The one Republican candidate who has an honest and sincere testimony of salvation in Christ is being told he isn't Christian enough by other party "Christians" who prefer a dubious Arkansan preacher or a slick talking Mormon. The one Republican candidate who has consistently voted to uphold the Constitution for ten terms in congress is being called unrealistic and stupid by party pundits. And the one Republican candidate who wants to return this nation to the rule of law by eliminating both parties' violations of the rule of law such as the income tax, NEA, war on terror, war on drugs, etc., ad nauseum, is being treated by his party like a leper.
What part of thou shalt not steal (income tax) don't Republicans understand? What part of thou shalt not kill (500,000 dead Iraqis who never came near the World Trade Center) don't you understand? What part of a just weight and balance (sound money backed by gold) makes God unrealistic? How long halt ye between two decisions? You either believe the truth or you are a liar and of your real "father."
Ron Paul has opened my eyes! Not only has Dr. Paul cured the apathy of many Americans who gave up on the political process because of the "nothing ever changes" status quo, the spittle and clay of his Freedom Message has restored my sight to see the Republican Party for the quislings they are. Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Guiliani, Huckabee, Charen, Hannity, Malken and Kristol continue deceiving and being deceived, and Republicans dance to their fiddles as addicted to war and fear mongering as a heroin addict to his fix.
It's time for the gloves to come off and the truth to be told. Republicans, you have been shown to be the phonies and posers that you truly are. Like Vidkun Quisling, you have betrayed your country and Constitution with your warmonger president and false prophet candidates. You've made the Clintons out to be the greatest threat to life on the planet, when all along you were committing the same crimes of statist control as they. Democrat liberals may be socialists, but the phony RINO's (Republicans in Name Only) are fascists on the right; either way it is statism.
We now see you for what you really are and want: power and control. The Republican party has destroyed itself due to it's lust for wanting to rule this nation and allowing the Fascist Neocons to take over. They are incapable of honest leadership and have failed America miserably. Sadly, all they had to do was follow their own rhetoric. Along comes Congressman Ron Paul and offers himself to be the one who will restore us with a proven track record of integrity, and his party shuns him like the plague.
It is time for change, and the revolution has begun! Democrats, you're out. Republicans, you had your chance, too. You're out. What's next for America? It's your choice: either total state control through both failed power-hungry parties, or a return to reason through the Freedom Message and Ron Paul. What will it be, America? Can we pull our heads out of the sand and face the music? Can we stop America's landslide into ruin? Or are we going to choose again one of the two parties that have only robbed us of our birthright?
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” —Samuel Adams
