What a great speech!!

Nice that someone knows the truth and is willing to speak it. Go Ron!!

as for the middle east let the British clean up the mess they created breaking up the Ottoman Empire all over oil. Oh yeah they went bankrupt after WWI -clearly most folks in Washington could use a history lesson -This speech should be played and played over and over until American blood and treasure stops being wasted.

I will be buying a Chevrolet Volt this year in a protest to oil.

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

Ike question - anyone know?

Having read/watched Ike's farewell address where he basically in front of the whole nation tells everyone to watch out for the MIC (amazing that a president can lay it out in front of everybody and nobody freaks out or listens).

Does any history buff here know if Ike said or did anything while in power? In seems great that he has this profound moment of truth as he's leaving, but wouldn't his warning have been more effective when he could act as POTUS?

(disclosure: I'm 40 years old. I imagine someone would have to be in their 70's or 80's to have a cogent memory of the time)

thanks

best brilliant beautyfull bravo.

I love Ron's history lessons

I can't stress enough that WW1, and more specifically the Paris peace conference> Treaty of Versailles, is the most horrible event from which we are still suffering. I spent my history classes in college writing term papers on its consequences (also the war between the states for US history). for a crash course which attracted my attention, check this:

Wait, perpetual war is not

Wait, perpetual war is not cheap, nor does it save lives? This is not what the peace-loving neocons talk about.

That darn Ron Paul actually believes peace will bring a semblance of civility and respect to our country and the world - sounds like spooky talk.
