If you are growing to grow get yourself some red wigglers. They are really miraculous in what they can do. We put a handful in with transplants and the effects are incredible.

A good place to get heirloom seeds is Bakers Creek. The owner is a Ron Paul supporter (pretty sure) and there is a Politics of Food forum that has some liberty lovers to visit with as well as some noecons that are fun to harass.

They stay cool when indoors and the thick wall allows for mucho dirt and worms. I am not sure on the price as we got ours from a food distributor and it is 3x3 feet with lid and 4 inch thick walls. Good luck!
