Arizona to pass 2012 eligibility law. Will Obama run in 2012?

[WHY is this important to Ron Paul supporters?
Because anything that frustrates the establishment
in this country buys us time; and, if Obama does not run again, Dr. Paul has a much greater chance of winning both the GOP nomination and the presidency.]

It could be a game-changer.

A plan in Arizona to require presidential candidates to prove their eligibility to occupy the Oval Office is approaching critical mass, even though it has just been introduced.

The proposal from state Rep. Judy Burges, who carried a similar plan that fell short last year only because of political maneuvering, was introduced yesterday with 16 members of the state Senate as co-sponsors.

It needs only 16 votes in the Senate to pass.

In the House, there are 25 co-sponsors, with the need for only 31 votes for passage, and Burges told WND that there were several chamber members who confirmed they support the plan and will vote for it, but simply didn't wish to be listed as co-sponsors.

Where are the other 49 free and independent republics?

Any such law will be found unconstitutional

by the federal court. Why will it be unconstitutional? Because they say it is.
Why waste time, money, and effort?

No candidate for the

No candidate for the presidency should have their name placed on the ballot until they have satisfied the secretary of state in the state of the candidate's eligibility.

Especially in cases where there is some question as to whether or not a candidate is qualified to run, the secretary of state owes it to the voters in that state to make the determination. We can't rely on the Democrat or Republican party. And we can't rely on other politicians.

I believe the only thing that

I believe the only thing that could possible get RP to run for POTUS would be if he feels his power in the Congressional Subcommittee is being usurped. I think he likes where he is.

If this is legitimate, it would also keep mccain off the ballot. Mccain was not born on US soil, so Mccain is not "natural born".

The actual truth

That's 14th amendment citizenship.

The law of nations might recognize McCain, whose parents were both citizens, and father was in the navy - thereby a diplomat or a similar nature, as being a natural born citizen, but it has never recognized someone with citizenship of another country at birth, in this case Kenya, as being natural born. McCain was actually vetted by the Senate as well, where Obama never was. In fact, since there was no question of McCain's parentage, and that they were actually in service of the United States at the time, the whole thing seems to have been intentionally done to make way for Obama.

At some point, what is actually true and based on knowledge is going to have to come to grips with Republican hand wringing, or the neocons are going to try to make this go away like the Clinton scandals, by setting up a phony strawman, and then ignoring the real issues.

The true things:

You don't need a birth certificate to be naturally born. Birth certificates didn't even exist at the beginning of this country.

Being born in this country does not make you natural born. In fact, being born in this country doesn't even make you a citizen under the 14th under the original meaning, although some have been trying to pervert that recently.

Obama was a citizen of Kenya at birth through his father when he was born. He wasn't under the jurisdiction of the United States, and was certainly not natural born by what those words meant in law books when the constitution was signed.

a) The real issue is not not having a birth certificate.
b) The real issue is not where Obama was born.
c) The real issue is Obama being a citizen of Kenya.

C is a fact that isn't disputed. At some point, supporters of Obama and the Neocons will argue A and B to hide C.

House Resolution 593

Rep Abercrombie Neil HI Introduced this bill...

On July 27, 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.Res. 593, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Hawaii's statehood, including the text, "Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961."[71] The vote passed 378-0.[72]

And Paul voted no.

By the way, arguing over a

By the way, arguing over a phony premise is in my view an excellent example of a dialectic, because the premise itself is false. It doesn't matter which side wins, or if either of them do. It makes the premise look true, and creates so much noise that actually analyzing it to determine the truth becomes hard in a public setting.

Always check the premises.

this will have no ..

impact on the 2012 election..let the President fail based on performance.. There is no will in the congress to move ..

There is no will to investigate possible

fraud and deceit? How sad.
Didn’t Obama promise transparency? Why does Barry let all the speculation continue? Surely, he is not doing it to make birthers look like fools. This performance of Barry’s to hide all his records is one that I consider a BIG FAIL.
I see no reason why Arizona should not require a presidential contender to prove their eligibility to occupy the oval office. I for one hope it passes. If it does pass, it will have a big impact on the 2012 elections if Barry cannot prove to Arizona he is in fact eligible. Sorry, Joe Past. I think you are wrong.

CANNOT prove to Arizona he is in fact eligible.

He is NOT a "natural born" citizen according to the Constitution, as enacted by our forefathers, no matter where he was born. He is not a "natural born" citizen due to his father being Kenyan...
