Everyone needs to Email Lou Dobbs
It is time we give Lou our thoughts. I have mentioned to my husband in the past week that I was becoming very skeptical about Lou Dobbs, I'm glad to see I am not the only one. I have emailed Lou and I hope everyone else will do the same. We need to get RP on the show ASAP.

What About Dobbs Asking Everyone to Register as Independents?
I have been wondering about Lou Dobbs asking everyone to register as an Independent. Many states require you to register as a Republican to vote in the Republican Primary or as a Democrat to vote in the Democratic Primary. So the people who have changed to Independents cannot vote in either the Republican or Democratic Primaries in many states, which in turn means they cannot vote for Ron Paul.
I too have been wondering about him acting as though there is no one in either party who is for the people, liberty, etc. - when we all know that there is truly one who is different and is for the people and that is Ron Paul.
Every day there are more and more people who they read their letters on his program stating they have registered as Independents. And in most cases, those people will now not be able to vote for Ron Paul.
I wish he wouldn't push for that. I wish Ron Paul would go on his show for about an hour or two to show everyone watching what his views are and what he stands for and that he truly is for the people. I don't think Lou Dobbs wants anyone to hear this message evidently. There are many middle-class people who watch his show because they think he is pulling for them (and maybe he is), but at the same time, he should let them hear what Ron Paul is all about.

I used to love Lou Dobbs .... he was the only thing mainstream I would watch for a long time .
I no longer watch his show . For 2 reasons .
His "become an independant" drive , has unwittingly locked out many from the primary process . And if you know his itenirary , the votes he's pulling away would be a majority of dis-enfranchised Americans .
He's basically become a one trick pony ... all he ever talks about is illegal aliens . I mean ... that's it . That's his whole show .
I've never heard him even mention Ron Paul .... so he's WAY behind the curve here .
In any case , what I've been doing ... ( as of today ) is tuning in to the Glenn Beck show , whom he's competing with . ( smile ) .
Lou is into big government in some ways . He wants the Fed to regulate food . He's against free trade . And he's nuetral with respect to the War .
I'm a little mad at him . He's in a time out , with me .
Dobbs spoke about RP at UCSD last month
Look up the RP san diego meetup,and a guy posted his questoin to Dobbs and Dobbs' answer,as well.
Dobbs said he could not support RP b/c he does not believe RP would do enough for *surprise* 'our borders'....
He mentioned I believe it was Edwards as Paul as being closest to his views.
The questioner [RP supporter]said Dobbs came off as a statist [as has already been discussed on this thread]-big government,and that Dobbs himself is considering an independent run,hence he is getting people into registering independent,and not support RP.
Meanwhile .....

I am sick of all the media types that bitch and complain about all or problems yet do not even endorse the man who would try and correct the very things they bitch about. Hey Dobbs, Olberman and Buchanan, I'm looking at you! Either shit or get off the pot fellas.

He gave Dr. Paul one of the earliest positive interviews, way back in April when even Ron Paul's campaign didn't think he had a chance. We should be nice to people that are favorable to Ron Paul, I think. Here's the link:

Ron Paul did 2 minutes on immigration on Lou Dobbs 2 weeks ago. Lou has an open invite to all the candidates, and so far only Paul has accepted.
IMHO, Lou Dobb's "independents day" shill plays into the hands of the political machines. As states start closing their primaries, each independent gets shut out. This is by design. Less independent voters, the easier it is for the corporate nominees.

Dobbs is a socialist
Dobbs says it himself. He frequently beats the "I am a populist" drum. Even though Dobbs is somewhat anti-establishment, supporting every single majority position is NOT a libertarian principle.
On immigration, so is Paul
I love Dr. Paul, and some of his proposals are consistent with the free market (ending tax-subsidized social services, for example) but restricting travel and changes of residence in the name of "national sovereignty", eminent domain to seize property for fences, immigration quotas, and time-restricted visas are collectivist policies. It is the only campaign issue on which Paul is a socialist, and might be the only issue on which Paul and Dobbs agree (they both oppose various trade agreements, but for radically different reasons).
Dobbs wants to run for himself
and thus doesn't want people to see that there already is a candidate who would put america first
